Go straight to manga. It's just unbelievably good. Also read Vinland Saga--highly recommended.

Speaking of Tower of God, that Manhwa can be excruciatingly slow-paced. Like, unbearably slow.
ToG's payoffs are amazingly good though, it's just that the set up takes a while.

Kingdom should definitely be read in manga form, it's one of my favorite adaptions of QuinShi's rise to glory, with all the grandeur of a shounen title and grittiness of a seinen. It doesn't hurt that the MC is legitimately great. The anime...has a lot of weird CG and glosses over important details.

Bleach will be regarded as the worst ending ever! I mean that...the plot holes left by this are worse than Gantz, Hitamn Reborn, Beezelbub, Gamaran, Area D, Kenichi(wasn't bad but hella abrupt)

Gahh I read some bad mangas!!! but I'd still recomend them all :p

Also I;d recommend

One piece
D.Grayman
Full metal Alchmist(but really who hasn't read this)
Shaman King
Hunter X hunter(your in for a good read!!!....then you'll be stuck in limbo like the rest of us....)
Magi: Labyrinth of Magic
Seven Deadly Sins
ubel Blatt
Kekaishi
Zatch Bell(screw you guys this was good!!! though the final attle was trash.....)
The Breaker
The Breaker: New waves
Kingdom
Hajime no ippo
The God of Highscool
Boku no Hero Academia
Blue exorcist

U said Bleach had one of the worst ending and then u promote Shaman King........ u must want him to go on suicide run lol.

I will add some of the list here though.

Arslan Senki
Legend of Galactic Heroes(Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu)
Ashita no Joe
Ravages of Time
HELCK
Toriko
Black Clover
Ajin(One of the best manga EVA)
RED EYES
Fire Brigades of Flame
Nobunaga no Chef
Demon Lord at Work!(Hataraku Maou-sama!)
Gunka no Baltzar
Drifters

There is sooo many manga i can promote lol. But i put some more action style manga up there first. If there is others i can remember, i will add even more.^_^

It seems like they all prepared to die, but Nell says in the chapter that this is 1 of 5 outcomes Urahara would predict would happen and she says the return trip is going to suck. So I took it as she jumps in and gets everyone out but that is just my gut feeling because it seems everyone was prepared to die, but she seems pretty confident she will get back out.

Nel's the real hero of this manga friends. Goes in and saves not one, not two, not three, but four major characters off-screen and then is never heard from or seen again. Just takes the W like a champion, doesn't gloat, doesn't do any sort of endzone celebration, and fades into the background forever.

So now that it's the end, I wanted to see if I could go back and try to edit this series in a way that makes it better. I tried to keep to the rule that I would cut nothing entirely so as to keep to Kubo's outline. Arc by arc, this is what I'd do:

Substitute Shinigami Arc is great, I wouldn't change a thing. Good set-up for characters.

SS Arc: I'd start by axing like 4 squads. Komamura, Gin, Tousen, and Hitsugaya are no longer captains. I'd completely delete Komamura, Gin, and Tousen. Koma does nothing except bitch at Tousen, and Tousen does nothing either, so cut that out. Gin is wasted as well, so ax him too. (Note: whenever I cut minority characters, I'd try to replace them elsewhere). Hitsugaya gets moved to Yamamoto's lieutenant instead of Sasakibe (who also did nothing). This lets him keep his "probably going to be head captain someday" schtick in a way that makes more sense. He also never feels strong enough to be a captain. You also don't need more than 1 traitor to get the point across, so Gin and Tousen are superfluous. Just let Aizen do it. By cutting this down, you get less characters to deal with unresolved powers later. And I think 9 is still enough numerology for Kubo's thing.

Hueco Mundo/Fake Karakura: First, there are no Vizards as a group. I love them, but they do nothing as a whole, so I'd just create Shinji, who shows up and trains Ichigo in his Hollow powers. You still get the "Aizen betrayed me and got me kicked out and I have a mask etc..." stuff, but with less fluff characters. I'd change Ichigo's power level to match Ulquiorra's instead of Grimmjow's. Then Ichigo pretty well handles Grimmjow, so you still get Grimmjow's "Damnit I'm not strong enough" thing. The main reason I'm buffing Ichigo is to indirectly buff his human friends. At no point should anyone from the Squads (other than Rukia and Renji) show up in Hueco Mundo. Renji and Uryu should be able to beat Szayelapporo, and I'd give Chad a good fight with Nnoitra. I'd make all of the Espada stronger so as to require Captains to work with their lieutenants to defeat each one. I'd make it so that most bankais are revealed here, including Yamamoto, Kyouraku, Ukitake (whatever it is), and Shinji (whatever it is). Add in bankais from Kira and Hisagi too if you want them to have those at all. Aizen ends up saving his and proceeds as normal. He beats Yamamoto without his cheap trick (establishing more power for himself), and then gets beaten by Ichigo. Done.

Fullbringers: I'd scrap Tsukishima or tweak him in a way that makes it so that he can't take out Ichigo's human friends. Then I'd stretch this arc out a bit to allow for longer fights at the end. Like Hueco Mundo, the Shinigami should not bail out Ichigo here. This should be the final showcase for the humans. Let Chad, Uryu, Orihime do some work here, and maybe toss in some of Ichigo's school friends. When it's all over, kill the bad Fullbringers (so they don't show up later), and I'd do something so that Ginjou's old badge goes over to Karin, who can then become the Shinigami dealing with minor Hollows in Karakura Town. This wraps up that thread. I know a lot of folks would probably cut this arc, but again, I'm trying to outright cut as little as possible. I think this does a good job of helping out the humans with their screentime and deals with several lose ends. Also, name Ichigo's damn Fullbring!

Quincy War: Cut out all of them but 4 Sternritters and Yhwach. Since we took care of most bankais earlier (this is why!), we can leave most Captains out of this. Let the Royal Guard do more against the 4 Sternritters. Change Yhwach's story from a stupid "It was always me" thing into a war survivor from the past genocide out for blood. These 5 (plus Uryu and Ryuken) are legit the last Quincies. No bankai theft ever happens. Yama gets beaten in a more fitting manner, and replaced by Unohana (who then reveals her past) instead of Kyouraku. I like that Ichigo is actually a Quincy, so keep that, but Yhwach doesn't know it (e.g. Ichigo almost dies, but activates Blut Vene accidentally, which surprises everyone but Isshin). Aizen needs bankai (whatever it is) to help beat Yhwach. Proceed to epilogue as you were.

General changes: Mainly, Ichigo's moveset should grow. He's already got like 4 bloodlines in him, so keep that and use it to improve his fights. He should use Cero waaaaaay sooner than against freaking Yhwach, and honestly, I'd make it so that he works arrows in there as well (for instance, take that chain on the back of his true bankai that he has now and make it a bow string. He can then use the giant blade as a bow as well). Let his Fullbring do more (since it was his most interesting power. I'll remind everyone that it wasn't a straight fighting thing; his Fullbring was the power to bring inner power out, so play with that wording!). Also, pace the fights better.

I'd love some comments on things, but I think this would salvage Kubo's work without cutting too much of it.

Quoting myself from earlier since I now have the full picture of where Kubo wanted this to go.

I'd add a lot more stuff to pad out the romances, and I'd really want to do a "Boruto/Naruto Gaiden" deal and do a repeat of the Substitute Shinigami arc with the kids. I'd make sure that there was some intimidating foe, but nothing too strong so as to sideline the parents. Make sure to use Ichigo's sister as a lead (since she has powers too, remember?), and don't let any of them get bankai. Make a big deal out of one of them hitting shikai even, but I'd really take this post-Quincy War arc to breathe a little and drop the stakes back down.

Also, I'd do waaaaaaay more with Orihime. People mention that she was probably a Fullbringer, but I think they specifically say she isn't. I suspect Kubo had more of a plan there but burned his goodwill with Jump before he could do it. I think my edits would at least get him to the ending he'd want.

Zatch Bell and FMA probably had the most complete ending.^_^

Ippo on the other hand, is Detective Conan of Boxing lol. It is going to continue till the end of my life.T_T

Reading the comments of the other WSJ mangakas, it seems they want Kubo to continue drawing mangas. Most likely he will though.

He will use this time for get better his trolling techniques.

I on the other hand had enough of both his story or drawing skill lol.

While i can said his character art is not bad at all, his background had always been damn bland.T_T Black, White, some building, some desert. I mean, it is always soo boring.

Yeah, I don't expect him to draw backgrounds or a logic story in his next series. He only shines in his character art and... making more and more characters.

One thing is true, doing the same thing for 15 years must tire somebody. I still wonder how other people like Oda contineus drawing the same series.

His early bleach art is fantastic

I think he actually average 9 panel per page in that period

If he does continue then I hope they let him end stuff early when he plans to. Of make him plan things out much longer if they will want him to continue. Bleach was pretty good up to a point

I'm going to pretend that Bleach ended after Soul Society.

Aizen vanished and was never heard from again, Rukia and Ichigo got together to have a couple of kids, Ichigo took over as a Captain and they all lived happily ever after.

Also, what the hell happened to Isshin? Did he just retire back to Soul Society or something?

Kubo thought he was writing a short story then moving on, he only wrote to end of SS arc, the manga took off and was told to continue writing beyond that lol...

He should do character art for video games. His character designs are where he shines. Let other people do the rest.

Well, at the very least the monster designs was, in my opinion, incredible. Many of the monster designs in Claymore literally made me say "Woah", sometimes grotesque, sometimes majestic, sometimes disgusting, many times all of them at the same time.

That final deus ex machina to wrap things up tho, hahah.

His character art is better than the vast majority. Great artist and designer.

Great artist is not only consist of making character art lol.

Background is also one thing to consider and Kubo fcuked up bad on that portion.

Not to mention, variety in clothing, and weapon design of each character is something to desire lol.

If u only check from a few title, of course u are going to meet up shit endings lol.^_^

Ashita no Joe, Full Metal Alchemist, Hyouge Mono, Pluto, Bakuman, Last Game, etc all had great ending.^_^
AHHHHH I have to get back to this. I'm just really annoyed some asshole spoiled something major on youtube. It said that
main character dies at his fight
. Definitely getting back to this. It's the only really massive sports series I haven't finished reading or/and watching.

The person who spoil u that is an asshole. That part is exactly what made the show soo great. I feel ur pain there.

Have u read Giant Killing? That is easily one of the best manager life on football/soccer manga. It don't had any super power kinda thing. It is just a manager bringing an underdog team to beat all the top team.^_^

List of better shounen mahwa's to read now that Bleach has ended.

Noblesse
Feng Shen Ji
Tower of God

If you're not reading Feng Shen Ji, I don't know what to tell you. Well I do, you're messing physical/character growth. The story literally follows the MC & company for years. Good pacing ,just a few hic ups, interesting plot, tons of characters, and beautiful art.

Also do you like MC's that are loud and rude? Yeah this has that and he backs it up

Nevertheless still one of the best. His style is iconic. Kubo's fashion sense is great, what are you talking about?

I don't remember, was the Rukia/Renji romance a thing before this final chapter?

Implied much more heavily than Ichigo/Rukia which always appeared more like siblings than anything else. Consider the lengths that Renji consistently went to in order to get back closer to her (being in Byakuya's squad, trying to surpass Byakuya, fighting Byakuya, why he actually befriended Ichigo).

Ummm. Kubo fashion sense is great?...... u mean all the shinigami costume which looks the same? All the quincy costume which looks the same uniform?

Totally disagree on his fashion sense at all here. Not to mention those hollows too.

I think he meant the color pages outfits. Basically the civilian outfit designs were great

Kubo does character art really well, but he's extremely subpar at building visually interesting worlds - look at Soul Society and Hueco Mundo and note how utterly bland and devoid of a distinct style they have. Compare that to literally anything in One Piece and even just the Lightning Village in Naruto (let alone amazing ones like the Rain Village) and the gap becomes even more pronouced.

He also can't illustrate action very well. Very unclear most of the time, just look at the Ichigo and co. vs. Yhwach fight at the Soul King Palace. What the hell was that?

On the other hand, Rukia showed more interest in Ichigo's uncle than anyone else.

Considering how little screen time Ichigo /Rukia have got over the use who even knows if they romantically interested in each other?
Edit: Come to think of it can Rukia even be considered the second protag? She wasn't there when Ichigo fought Grimmjow, Ulq, Aizen, or Yhwach. When he trained with Visored or Hollow freakouts. Wtf did Kubo even like the Rukia /Ichigo pair?

When you guys say he's a good character designer, you mean in terms of clothes right? Because Kubo can only draw about 3-5 different kinds of faces which get reused constantly.

That, but he does character expressions really well too.

I will now. Actually I haven't seen the soccer one I forget its name for now, but I have to catch up. So I need to finish these and Ashita no Joe. Been on a bender on watching and reading series from the 80s and 90s. Slam Dunk kind of kickstarted the whole thing last year in December, and I fell in love with it (one of the greatest series of all time for me, best sports series ever as well).

I wanted to start new series, but I like to know the history of the old greats before I start this season. I thought Magi S3 and AoT S2 would have come out by now, but alas I still wait in frustration for their return. A cool gaffer sent me an inbox message of some of the newer shows the last year or so that have released to get caught up on a few things.

And yes don't get me started on the youtube troll. I absolutely despise when people spoil things, so I was pretty damn livid when it happened.

I don't remember, was the Rukia/Renji romance a thing before this final chapter?

The short answer: No.

The longer answer: No, it sort of hinted at a possible one-sided crush on Renji's end but no interest other than friendship was ever really shown from Rukia. It had about as much "development" as Ishida's Orihime crush.

There's... something wrong with Rukia's proportions in that color spread.

The clothes? Of all the things I could praise Kubo's art for (not that many, I gotta say), the clothes aren't certainly one of 'em. They're so basic, I guess he conceived them to be as easy to draw as possible, although they can look cool.
