Tom Clancy's The Division |OT 3| Crafted From 150 OT 2’s

Getting a bit frustrated that I've played a shit ton of The Division lately...running Dark Zone boss runs, Incursion hard mode, have 1,000 phoenix credits and just haven't received a single upgraded piece of gear since my first gear sets. Not sure if I'm missing obvious buys or getting shitty RNG drops but nothing...

Bought the 204 Firearms Gloves and crafted six in a row with recalibrated rolls on the better ones trying to get Critical and SMG damage up and they're still a downgrade from a 163 pair I got ages ago.
That's just how bad the RNG is in the game. You have to commit an exponential amount of time and resources for a minuscule opportunity to slightly improve your character, potentially spending days for marginal gains if you're lucky. Personally, I'm content to just doing FL CM for the weekly rewards on my alts because it's just not worth grinding anything else right now. The only problem with my strategy is that it tanks my gear score, making matchmaking much harder. The 1.2 update would have to be a miracle at this point for me because I can't imagine playing the game further on PS4 when Xbox players get the first 2 paid content a month in advance as the game is barren enough as it is already. Fixing the loot would mitigate a lot of things in this game and just having more avenues to getting loot would too. It's not unusual to find a GS 163 item to be better than GS 214. You're hitting the bottleneck.

Isn't that what 1.2 is supposed to do (among other things)?
Supposedly, yes, but they said nothing about the RNG itself, which has been a fundamental issue made even worse in 1.1. The item drop rate would have to be pretty massive to make up for the RNG in this game; and even if that did happen, where's the stash space? Look at how much the primary attribute stat range overlaps within gear scores:

GS 163
420-514

GS 182
470-575

GS 191
441-540

GS 204
528-645

GS 214
494-604

GS 240
553-678

Yet Massive and Ubisoft wants crafting to become an afterthought? And this is just for primary attributes. It's highly telling. It's why you get situations where you can feel almost no improvements for days at a time.

So whats the best way to get Superior and High-end gear, im, just about to do the last mission and only have a handful of Superior items and haven't even seen any High-end gear?

Also Specialised gear that have a higher armor than Superior gear, should i still keep the Superior gear or go with what ever has the highest number?

High-ends come from beating named bosses. So Daily Hard and Challenging will drop them. Outside of the dailies, you can grind the 4 Challenging missions, Lexington being the easiest to do, you could probably do 8min runs with a decent team. Then there's the Dark Zone, named enemies drop them there as well. These would be the most efficient ways of getting them, outside of buying blueprints and such.

This is my main problem. All stats on a 182 should always be higher than a 163 and so on. Pretty simple to feel like you progress when you know the higher GS item is gonna be better than what you have.

Thanks, so whats the deal with the gear then, as now im at level 30 gear now has a score rather than armor so should i be using everything with score now, even its its a lower tier (blue, purple or yellow)??

That would make too much sense for massive.

you're at the endgame so gear score is a rough way of evaluating anything past 30. just use what works best for you, look at specific stats and don't get too caught up in what's high end, specialized or whatever. soon you'll get to a point where all your gear will be high end.

It's screwed up yeah. Think of that number as a light level from Destiny. Supposedly the higher the number, the better the gear is. That however isn't always the case.

This game pisses me off so much.

I decide to play after a while to do the incursion, and I keep getting Delta'd.

Seriously, it took forever to set up the damn thing then I kept disconnecting, someone else got disconnected, then we decided to restart the game and try again then one of guys who joined our team kept getting teleported before he could go into the sewer. Then I got delta'd again and raged quit.

I was in the mood to play but it's passed.

I'll try again later tonight.

461-500

501-540

GS 204
541-580

Where in the fuck did you come up with this bullshit?! This makes NO sense, Massive got it right the first time... ain't nobody got time trying to figure out your scaling lmfao

I think I should have bought the 32 power stamina mod instead of the 204 glove blueprint. I bet 7-8 rolls in and I'd at least be able to replace 1-2 of my currently 5 equipped stamina mod slots instead of blowing all my mats on lesser gear than my lomg ago acquired 163s.

Ground up to DZ 50 solo and was like...sweet now I can buy 204 blueprints.

Oh wait...I only made 140k dz creds in ALL that time levelling and still don't have enough for even one bp.

I can't even...

I was in the same position. At level 51 I had 280k or so as I had never spent any DZ credits. I spent the majority of them on the aforementioned glove blueprint that never rolled anything decent/nothing better than my 163 gloves. I guess I'm lucky in that I could buy ONE blueprint by then, but still...feels super unbalanced to grind up to that and only be able to afford one level-equivalent blueprint. I thought it would be a flood of new gear purchases when I hit DZ 50. Sigh.

I am there right now. I am not grinding the DZ for credits. I am awaiting 1.2.

dz credit grind is whack if your solo ... ive been wanting the nomad set forever but never had enough credits. So I spent all weekend farming until i finally got what I wanted. Which is time I swore I'd set aside for doom, among other things

I don't know why I do these things to myself

Level up to 30 first, don't bother with DZ right now.

Yep, but what's the best way to level up to 30? And from level 13, I have done most of the story missions near the base of operations. The other story missions are level 20 and above. Any good tips?

Do the side missions to level up. All story missions have matchmaking, so you can attempt them with a random group if you can't solo them.

Ah I see. So pretty much that's all I could do until I reach a certain level? What's the recommended level for the DZ because right now I am on the lower bracket of the DZ. Lastly, what should I focus on firepower, stamina, or electronics?

Finally got a good drop!

A trendy shemagh

On a side note: Larae drops the first HE First Wave M1A I have seen and it is the shittiest rolled piece of garbage I swear. The talents were shit I haven't even heard of and 2/3 were locked anyway. The only good one on it was stable...or something like that.

Fully modded I could only pull 91k DPS out of it.

For reference, My HE Socom M1A is at 121k and my 136 Purple M1A is at 94k. What in the actual fark.

Yup it's a painful grind to level 30 which will require all main missions and majority of the side missions and encounters to be completed. All the end-game stuff is locked until you get to 30.

No point venturing into the DZ until you're level 30 due to loot scaling.

It depends on what kind of build you're looking to play, early on it's good to experiment with skills and builds to see what you like and are good at.

Now I see a timer under Incursion : "New rewards will be available in 15:40:57" .
The same time when the weekly assignment is over.
I wouldn't trust that timer. I have reason to believe the actual reset date is Sunday 17:00 PDT. I just now got my drops for this week's reset.

Wich talents is it that recharges your ulti faster up again after you popped it? Is it Determined?

edit: Its Skilled. nevermind.

They said on SOTG that the weekly Incursion reset is currently at 2am CET (Sunday 9pm EDT)

Yeah, it's always been Sunday night from my experience.

Edit: UC4 and especially the incredible new DOOM has taken away my addictive nature with The Division of late. Well, combine the new game experiences with the idea that I haven't acquired a single piece of gear in weeks that has been worthwhile.

The game apparently says my current build of 220K DPS, 90K Health, and 15K Skill is a wall I will not scale.

Extractions reduce it 25% each time in the DZ and killing loads of mobs gets it back quicker as well.

What? Extractions reduce signature skill cooldown by 25%? That's nice to know.
I've played ~300 hours and I follow this thread and reddit since the closed beta and this is the first time I've heard of this. Is it written in any tip guide or help menu or something?
I wonder if there are anymore cool tips like this one that I didn't know about.

Shoot shotty rushers in the knees/legs and watch their armor melt.

so rogues are now wall breaching on top of the ladder by dz2 checkpoint?...and can kill players on the street. too bad for them my group knew how to do the same thing, so we wall breached the bottom of the building adjacent to the ladder. we coordinated a sticky bomb attack and took them out one by one even the ones that werent manhunt status, everyone in there got killed off. Massive needs to do something about the soft spots in this game. certain spots will down you but in general its easy to find spots to wall breach

the funny thing is when trying to wall breach, i accidentally pushed a group member in without using the mobile cover.

...oh and the talent that regains/refreshes health when moving cover to cover is the funniest shit to use when rogue

Don't believe so, I noticed it on a video where I extracted twice on the same extraction and it pushed my special from around 50% to full.

As mentioned knees are a good weakness against shotty rushers and others. If I remember correctly everyshot will be a crit.

You probably know this but the likes of heavy cleaners you can kill super quick. Shoot the tank on the left leg then the red bag on the right leg. Blow both of these up with a few shots and thats the heavy dead.

You know the alleyway to the left of DZ06 safehouse and at the end it has 1 room and to the side a small alley painted all white with a skull or something. While rogue we went in that room and some players went to that small alley way and mobile covered between it and the room and could shoot us while we were in the room. Since they couldn't get back out we just left lol.

So is the best gear in the dark zone? Or can i craft it? I took a long break from this game and am now trying to score some gear to do the incursion and I have a gear score of 150 right now from just soloing the dark zone.
