Think i might hop back in. Left around 1.2. I imagine it's pretty easy to get re-situated?

My friend was able to hop on being Gear Level 47 and just by doing a loop of killing the bosses in PvE he was 229. Granted it wasnt all gear he wanted but he was still able to "catch up" with us. The new content may seem a little jarring at first but the game has a super handy missions list when opening the world map that clearly list every single thing you can do and what the reward is.

Seriously this game got a MASSIVE upgrade. Enddddd joke.

Took just over a week for 1.4 to run its course for me. Great improvements and a much more enjoyable experience, hope the DLC moving forward gives a substantial and meaningul reason to return for a longer period. The systems are all in place, now they need to add content.

I'm really enjoying 1.4, but sadly most of my friends aren't coming back. Kinda sucks playing these loot grinders solo or with just one guy; if any peeps on PC wanna play some time my username is the same as my gaf name: Anbokr.

Could use some amigos to roll around with here and there!

The pain when you burn 10mil of credits trying to max a gear piece and select the wrong stat in excitement on the last affordable roll and now have an empty wallet ;-(

Lol

Oh man I'm absolutely in love with the Hungry Hog, it's just so damn fun. Managed to get a base DPS of ~250K on it. I think it's the most fun I've had with a weapon in the game so far! It's good for both PVE and PVP. I'm finally having some fun in PVP in this game. I only get downed if someone is using a shotgun and gets close enough to me. If I get some distance I can drop anyone pretty quickly, it feels great hahah

I really need to get hold of one of them. I've read it also drops in UG so may have afew runs on that soon.

We have a good little PVP shoot off when we were last in the DZ. What I did like is when a Rogue struggled to drop us, ran and I gave chase he made it easier for me as I've got the talent where damaged is increased further away from the target lol

Just uploaded this clip to Twitter so can't embed here but 70 seconds for alphabridge, sentry and firecrest without consuming a bullet!

Prepared: Damage is increased by X% when more than 30 meters from the target.
Really handy and when people think they're away from you you're at your strongest.

Sounds good to me. I'll be on a little after that this evening though.

No no, I mean the one that is refilling the ammo?

Oh I see, Meticulous! 25% chance to refill magazine on kill. Seems alot more frequent than 1 in 4 though more like every other or acouple of kills! One of my favourites now, especially with that 210 mag size.

I'm an idiot. That's the talent I rerolled on my Hog. :|

I think I haven't touched the second one yet... will se what I can do with it.

If this is true, I will stick to Underground missions... Where did you read this?

I got a 229 LVOA-C last night, I am really enjoying it.

I believe that information is not correct, sadly.

Also, a good video/write up about the best weapons in the game right now: https://www.vg247.com/2016/11/03/the-division-here-are-the-top-five-dps-weapons-for-pve-right-now/

Luckily I have all of them! Hahah

No. 5: PP-19 SMG

Although SMGs are not the best choice for DPS anymore, the PP-19 is a great SMG and among the best weapons you could equip. The weapon has a large magazine, which can be expanded further with the help of an extended mag mod.

The talents it comes with are also good, and one of them increases your reload speed after landing critical hits, meaning less downtime between mags.

No. 4: SASG-12 Shotgun

This semi-auto shotgun has a fast rate-of-fire and a good magazine size. The stagger bonus, one of the new additions in 1.4, helps greatly in dealing with rushers. The high rate-of-fire also means DPS is high, thanks to sustained fire.

No. 3: G36 Assault Rifle

Even after the initial nerf, the G36s are still among the top-performing assault rifles in the game. The rate-of-fire on the weapon is not too high, but it means the recoil will be relatively manageable as a result.

In general, assault rifles now have the enemy armour damage bonus, which helps take down tanks relatively quickly.

No. 2: SCAR-H Assault Rifle

This marksman rifle and its various variants currently offer the highest DPS output for PvE. Being a marksman rifle means the weapon is very accurate, provided you don’t spam it.

On top of that, a good magazine mod means you can have more than enough bullets to down a target without reloading.

No. 1: Hungry Hog / M60 LMG

These two M60 rifles are tied for the top slot. The Hungry Hog wins slightly, but you can easily replace it with an M60. LMGs offer the largest magazine sizes, and grant bonus damage when attacking targets out of cover.

The Hungry Hog, however, is a very high damaging weapon, abnormally high, as Alex puts it. This could be to make the weapon more interesting, since named weapons are kind of in a lull right now when it comes to Talents. The Hog drops from Dark Zone bosses.

Watch the video from more, including the Talents you should always shoot for when looking for a PvE weapon.

I got a 229 LVOA-C last night, I am really enjoying it.

Was browsing reddit earlier and afew users said they got theirs from UG.

Have you added some stability to the LVOA-C? I've got a reasonably decent one with good talents I'm currently using with my alt but the lift is pretty bad at the minute.

I have added stability to it, I know some have an issue with the lift but if you start at the mid chest level and put a slight downward tilt on the pad before you start firing it balances on the head perfectly. (For me anyway)

How is headshot damage calculated now?

I have 186% with 3 hunter 3 sentry brutal and 2 mods with HS damage and I'm using an ACR.

Convinced my brother and my friend to try the game again after like 3-4 months away, and we just farmed the bosses in PvE, and I think they got the bug again.

My friend has the flame turret with some firecrest gear pieces, and it's actually pretty cool. Happy with the changes, and was having fun again instead of being frustrated.

Will give it a try and bang some different mods on. I literally hold down on the aiming stick but it sill goes higher than the enemy head, suppose I should pulse the firing abit too but difficult when learning the brain again after I can manage the 210 clip of the M60 without letting off lol

Almost filled my extracted stash twice over farming DZ05/06 without a rogue in sight. Last 20 minutes turned into a manhunt PVP fest which my build is useless against being built around elites and armour damage so called it a day for some dinner. The loot drop is unreal, literally extracting and after clearing some roaming mobs and a landmark the 9 item backpack is almost full again and that's being selective leaving crap lying around.

Yeah that's what I've been through lately too. Not that I'm complaining... I'm loving this. After all, there's a lot of loot but only a handful are actually meaningful. It's great as it is. :)

BTW I'll be on in around 5h (I'm still stuck at work). :D

Sniper / Marksman Rifles appear to be useless.... Anyone else experiencing this, or am I just bad?

Firecrest is amazing... I wasn't intending to make it my main set but I might.

You're right, it's nice seeing the loot everywhere with a chance of a good drop etc but for example most backpacks I get are electronics without armour so pretty useless but good for credits!

That's cool. Will be around 11pm here so should be ready for another session then.

Oh I'm gonna try the other Hog I got, the one with Meticulous.

What do you want to do? DZ, HVT'S, Open world bosses etc? When I first get on I'll need 20 minutes or so as I want to setup my Banshee build for the DZ. Sick of losing XP when I die and want to get to 90 in case if anything decent comes up for sale in the vendor :)

Preferably, DZ. No prob about those 20 mins. :)

Edit: I haven't done any HVTs tbh. We could do it maybe? Idk

That just shows how 'easy' the game has become in those situations. No thought necessary.

No worries, I've got plenty of Intel to try some out.

The red bar enemies are mega weak so don't really need any thought, especially a build with health on kill and never needing to reload. In the harder content like incursions and challenging mode you'll soon be wiped taking that approach and won't last long at all in the DZ. Majority of the open world loot isn't great neither with poor stats/rolls but the incentive of a possible good item is there when you see the greens drop to keep playing.

Just had my first shitty moment since being back. Hopped on just now to check out the new blueprints and was excited to see a SASG Shotgun blueprint. Due to excitement I buy it immediately. Come to find out I was on tier 2, so I figured no big deal and switched to tier 4 knowing I would have to earn more phoenix credits but just wanted to see how much. Heres the thing...the blueprint is gone. I have no chance to even repurchase it at a higher level and as far as a I can tell the one I bought will be stuck at a lower level. Seriously sucks as I have not been able to find this shotgun.

Last night was cool, except for the randoms not helping us with the rogues :p

Man I'm getting lucky at this game. Last night I got an M249 with Destructive, Brutal and Ferocious on the third (free) talent. Coupled with the Hungry Hog and AB set this thing melts mobs, it's such a great feeling lol. I also managed to get 2 Nomad pieces so I'm getting 15% health on kill.

I decreased my sheer DPS numbers with the current build but it does way more damage now. 35% damage to enemy armor and 33% damage to elites.

Edit

I'm drowning in weapons. I got two good PP-19s, a SCAR-L, a very nice LVOA-C, MK20s, M249s, two Hungry Hogs, four M60s, Vectors, AUGs, and so on.

Yeah was good fun. I got acouple of minor improvements, mainly base armour on some gear so went up from under 60% mitigation to over 60%.

I've been running 2 nomad since dropping my specialised backpack and savage gloves, think nomad is probably the best 2 piece imo. I'm flooded with weapons but mainly to store weapon mods lol

I should do that too. I got like 40 mods. :|

Hey will you be on tonight again? :D

Edit: dude. Duuuude. Look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuyylHLsF48

Damn

Yeah bang all the mods on weapons, saves 4 slots per gun. Damn he took no prisoners there!

Doubt I'll get on today unfortunately and probably the same tomorrow and Tuesday as it's the start of a hectic work schedule this week.

That's too bad. I got Tuesday and Wednesday off from work. Will play until my fingers fall lol

I'm currently running a four piece Hunter's Faith and two piece Nomad build with a Scar H and a M60. I really wasn't expecting the game to turn into, well, mostly a shooter with less importance and focus on the RPG/Skill power elements. I mean it's fun to a point but I don't think it's The Division I want long-term.

The funny thing about the Scar H is most will tell you it's only effective if you don't spam the trigger, well at close-to-mid range it absolutely destroys if you do just that...spam away. Yes, I know MMR aren't intended for close range targets and that type of combat but it sure is effective with this particular weapon in this version of The Division.

Sounds good from what they've talked so far. Especially excited about them offering PVP and PVE options and the survival elements - Cold, hunger, etc...

I think I might jump on the season pass now.
