Man, I'm getting absolutely wrecked in WT5, wow. I'm not sure if my stats are so shitty but it's so hard right now... 320/330/75

4 Alpha Bridge + 2 Nomads... 54% EAD... and I thought that M4 I got was powerful... I was wrong.

What talents do you have? I have an Lightweight M4 (and FAMAS) running 4AB/2Nomad. For me I'm 312/347/95 but I'm not full 256 yet either. very close though and even I find elites not entirely difficult but then again I usually don't tackle challenging content solo.

I think 450K+ Toughness and around 55% Armor Mitigation is a must.

I'm currently running Barret's chest, a Specialized backpack, 4-piece Alpha (with all weapon types) with 475K Toughness (54% Armor Mitigation) and 140K Skill Power (gives full overheal). Need to play more but dare I say it? A balanced build may still be possible.

Usually run ARs, currently running LVOA-C with Vicious, Unforgiving, Skilled, Meticulous, Destructive, and Responsive. Kinda feel like I have everything covered with that setup. Using Adrenaline, Critical Save, Steady Hands, and On the Move as player talents (the last two give me advantages both in and out of cover).

Destructive, Ferocious, Fierce... I don't remember the others, but it's a decent roll.

I envy you :p

Can't get my build any better. :(

I suggest 4000+ Firearms, 7300+ Stamina, and 3000+ Electronics for base stats and to keep weapon talents active. A Specialized talent-rolled backpack will help with Skill Power if you want to go down that road.

Do whatever you have to do to get there concerning mods/re-rolling.

After that it's just preference concerning weapon mods and whatnot.

You should be able to get plenty of gear running Underground Ops and Challenging missions (I ran the Daily Lincoln the other day and walked out with 21 High-end/Gear Set pieces which was insane but it does happen).

I just ran Lexington and Larae Barrett doesn't take any damage. :|

It's a known bug, if you wipe you'll restart at the checkpoint when she spawns so you don't have to restart completely. Apparently it happens if you kill the enemies before she gets out of the door when she comes down from up top.

As for struggling with your current build you may just need to adjust your play style in 1.5. I'm 330/330/80 32% Damage to elites, 58% EAD and 56% mitigation. Meat locker Famas and Base of Ops Pakhan. 2 piece striker, Reckless chest, rubbish backpack, savage gloves and a random holster. Have been soloing LZ bosses, DZ04/05 and challenging missions/UG.

I see everyone is still farming Lex.

Think I played lex 300+ times to try and get the Showstopper, no luck.

Then it got nerfed to the ground.

Oh man I remember that.

I like Lex for the quick phx creds if I need them but with the Barrett chest piece dropping from field proficiency caches as well I won't be putting the grind in on Lex for it too much, happy with Reckless at the mo.

Anybody got advice on how to gear up? I think just looking at gearscore is probably not the way to do it.

I specially would like to be a support type.

Good lord, the D3-FNC Gear Set makes this game trivial and puts it on super-easy mode. Just getting around to playing with it, not overly optimized and it's just absurd. Nothing can stop you.

Equipped with a MP5 ST (200K DPS) with Ferocious, Vicious, and Self-Preserved talents, the Barret chest and Specialized backpack (both of these will become permanent fixtures in most if not all of my builds), 480K Toughness and 113K Skill Power.

I have the full set, just haven't gotten time to play with it yet.

too bad ps4 didnt get that mp5 blueprint.
i wonder if the mp7 can work instead.

Regarding the D3-FNC Gear Set, for whatever reason I was under the impression that CHC/CHD debuff was concerning only the built-in bonus to SMGs but apparently it takes into account weapon mods/talents as well so you probably want to factor that in when deciding on an SMG and it's mods/talents. I'm currently using a MP5 ST with Meticulous, Swift, and Predatory (want to roll this into Destructive) and weapon mods focused on everything but CHC/CHD.

I tried an MP7 but favor the larger mag of the MP5 as there was simply to much reloading involved with the former. I'm hoping to get my hands on a Converted-9 which was my previous favorite SMG.

Overall, there is no stopping this Gear Set as long as you avoid flanks which is pretty easy to do in most cases.

I still like my Barret's chest, Specialized backpack, and 4-piece Alpha the best and consider it the most deadly and fun build I currently play with but the D3-FNC build is a nice change of pace as well.

I'm having fun with the Fire turret gear, with turret Performance Mods, placing the turret above ground where the enemies can't kick it

Just came back to the Division since May, and my god, the improvements Massive has made really freshened up this experience for me. However, no matter how many patch notes I look at I can't find a good summary about the changes made that make this a fresh experience. Someone have a link or care to summarize that? I'm just curious.

The game has changed a lot so I'm not sure how relevant specific info on The Underground expansion or anything prior to the 1.4 Update would be. In short the Underground Operations (1-4 players) are randomly generated objective (simple) based missions that can be done in 1-3 phases with or without difficulty modifiers. It offers a progression system with Rank-up Reward Caches in addition to the loot earned by completing the missions themselves from loot chests, boss kills, random drops, and mission completions. All this gear can be used across all game-modes sans for Survival.

Edit: It should also be noted that there was a specific Gear Set (Banshee) introduced mainly for Dark Zone solo play (although nothing is stopping you from using it in a group) where you don't lose DZ funds or DZ XP upon death and one of the set bonuses also increases DZ funds earned.

I just tried it, it is a beast, don't let Massive give any ideas, you really are a tank

This is the "Reclaimer" set of 1.5 so it will be dead come the 1.6 Update (if it's The Last Stand expansion update).

My early guess on the inevitable nerf would be constantly draining shield health countered with small increases in shield health after kills.

Edit: I think I might try a D3-FNC build with total disregard of armor and see how it fares. I guess if I'm going to do that I might as well focus on Firearms and Electronics.

The Frontline (D3) set is really cool and is the best thing ever for support... too bad I'm not a support type of player.

Anyway I finally managed to get the Lightweight M4... along with the Famas it feels really good, but there's a lot of room for improvement in my current build (330/340/100).

Got the gear for FrontLine now so will spend some time recalibrating to get the most out of it later, topped up my phx creds for the reset tonight in hope of something tasty.

Really pleased with my current build after today, 3 striker for stability and additional EAD, finally got my first specialised backpack since 1.5 dropped and it came with armour and ammo capacity so that was perfect and lastly still using the Reckless chest piece.

Also using the talent where you gain additional stability when going into cover so the Famas is pretty much a laser now even without using any mods so keeping the additional 15% damage.

Almost at 70% EAD, 34 elites are just falling over, got that confident with the build I've now rolled Responsive on the famas dropping an npc with less than half a clip (obvs not a heavy).
55% mitigation, 350/380/120.

Sounds really good. Can you believe I got a specialized backpack and deconstructed it without even looking at the stats? FML :|

Hey thanks for taking the time to make that! I appreciate it. Really good summary, this should me understand some of the changes and fall back in. I'm a bit of a lapsed, major Destiny player, so this is scratching an itch.

That would've pissed me right off lol
Most gear set backpacks are dropping electronics/no armour for me so have just given up on them, I seem to be consistently getting reasonable rolls in all other slots so the specialised backpack is deal for me.

There's a decent Police M4 (Sustained, Determined, and Brutal [free talent], 22% Enemy Armor Damage) for sale at Kerman Station. You can roll off Sustained or Determined for something with more damage properties.

There's also a decent Omega Rifle Suppressor for sale there as well.

Also a reasonable Navy MP5 N with deadly, unforgiving and destructive at the 46th St West DZ checkpoint vendor. Having missed the blueprint I may go for that for my FrontLine build.

(thanks to csmartin85 on reddit for the info).

Just got back into it again after Survival patch and had a few games today with a friend who bought the game during the BF Sale.

Its great, I can use my old char and he can use his new one and we can still play together. Love it.

As for survival, it's quite fun now that I'm starting to get hang of it again :)

nice, wouldnt mind getting the MP5, should be a nice replacement after rolling off unforgiving with responsive (my 229 had brutal, responsive, destructive). finally got the barrett chest, had to roll 20 mill worth of credit to get the armor to 3192, ammo count is a bit lower than my predator vest and the stamina it rolled with is also a bit low.

Why is the MK so dps heavy? For compare, fames is at 300,446

...and decided to create my own build based off of it and, oh my, it shreds like no other.

I'm using Barret's chest, a Specialized backpack, 4-piece Alpha (LMG DMG bonus on Gloves) with elite and armor damage bonus where possible.

Using the Pakhan as my main. Weapon talents are Skilled, Commanding, Meticulous, Destructive, Ferocious, and Deadly.

I'm using Deadly rather than Brutal as I refuse to take my Toughness down into the 300s which would be the case if I traded Stamina for Firearms in order to activate the Brutal talent..

The game have added a lot since I last left it.

New gear sets is nice, yet to try Underground thingy but just solo'd Survival PvP as last man standing and only one to get out.

I reinstalled this game to play Survival mode. I haven't played the base game since before they introduced sets. So this is the first time I've seen sets.

Lots changed. SMGs are apparently.... not as good as they used to be. No idea if people even bother trying to get crit up anymore.

I have a gear score of 180ish after opening a ton of caches but when I play in world tier 3, I get my ass handed to me. Enemies just drop me so fast. I only seem to have 33% armor mitigation.

What's a decent way to get geared up without feeling like I'm grinding the same boring missions over and over again?

Play Survival mode.

Level and gear don't matter, extract or stay alive as long as you can and once you get out or die you get caches to open with gear.

Spent a few hours today and hit 256 by completing 5-7 survivals. However that's not good rolls just 256 items with 'meh' stats but easy way to start off getting to max score.

Seems like getting a max score with subpar stats wouldn't be a wise thing to do. I feel like my stats aren't good enough for the gear score I'm at now. Would probably help if I had a few set bonuses.

Thank you.

Yet another video that absolutely proves that sheer DPS numbers don't mean shit.

So like every PUG ever :D

Every so often I find a PUG that's super good. I mean, feels like we're a goddamn special forces unit. Those sessions are where the game absolutely shines.

And then there are groups where the dude in the purple jacket walks into the room full of enemies and immediately alerts them all by unloading his auto sniper from outside cover before we're in position. Those are less fun.

Yeah more or less exactly like it was before I left the game last time :D

My gearscore is 182. Why does the game keep putting me in the 205-229 DZ bracket?

Cant you change bracket?

So is there a reason as to why instead of going into the crawl on the ground mode I am just in dying instantly instead?

This has happened ever since I hit 30.

It's extremely aggravating because my group members will see me go down and they'll say "crawl to me" and I'll have to say "I can't" or they'll waste their supply stations on me when it's not going to do anything.

Only reason I can think of is you're running some kind of glass cannon build and getting finished off immediately after getting dropped. Maybe you're getting "overkilled".

Or is there a cat sitting on your space bar?
