if they are in the 1.1 patch, they would have to had been submitted early to MS and Sony for certification, in order to be released next week

Not all changes are client side. Lots of things in games like this are done server side. They can keep tweaking this right up to 1.1 release.

Supply drops are so desperately needed in DZ and I am glad they are coming next week.DZ was getting pretty predictable and stale. Now, if you finally get that sick HE drop as a solo player, just leave that shit on the ground. Wait until a supply drop hits, grab it and go extract in the opposite direction of the supply drop. I love trying to be sneaky in DZ solo. I think it is the funniest thing when you get your bag on the rope a split second before the manhunt squad rolls up on your extraction and they kill you and then realize you have zero loot and you hear them cursing on the chat. I often just clap next to the rope. There is virtually zero penalty to dying as rogue and non-rogue. Once that bag is on the rope, my work is done.

If I see a group role up I always call a copter then leave and go to the next extraction zone. They usually sneak around the live extraction for a bit seeing if someone is waiting.

Everyone will have M1A now. Its dead to me.

Or alternatively Hamish wasn't made aware of the developers plan, and all he knew was the information that he had previously told us. And he was trying to spin doctor because that is his job. Just as likely that it was an internal communications problem at Massive.

Sure that could definitely be the case.

I don't think he would spin that strongly without confirming the "too much loot currently" & "we want loot drops to be memorable" direction though.

But as I said, 1.1 is looking good and that's the main thing :)

HE drops for named Elites sounds good to me, honestly. We'll still be crafting since we'll get tonnes of mats from all the HE drops we get now, from the sounds of it.

Bring on 1.1, I say.

I could have wrote those changes and notes overnight...

Every software update, whether it be minor or major, has to go through QA and meet requirements set forth in TRC (technical requirement checlist ) documents, held and maintained by Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Google, Apple, and any other platform owner in which 3rd party software is supported on.

Sure you could have wrote those changes and notes overnight, but it could take up two weeks before QA is done doing their checks, developers fix show stopper bugs, and a build is resubmitted for QA. From there it could take an additional 2-4 weeks before the intake team on the platform holder side accepts the build and distributes it.

AGILE how doe it work?

I don't think it was a communication problem. It was intended and feels like it.

Dropping all the notes at the same time would still have soured a fair few who would have been upset about crafting nerf. This way, no one is even going to talk or care about the crafting nerf anymore.

They planned and played it very well. Kudos to them.

Also could be very true. Would be a good media strategy.

BTW, did you make any ALTS for getting more than one "weekly loot drop" from the incursion?

DZ06.

Kill someone and go rogue.

Go to the extraction zone and hang out on the rope in the elevator shaft.

Laugh your ass off as he tries to aim high enough or low enough to hit you and he can't =)

EDIT:

I think sticky bombs can work.

Thanks to Lnkn and Grim for escort services the last couple nights in the DZ. Gosh I love the DZ. It's like Patrol in Destiny, just with more intended chaos.

Some guy shoots at us, Grim is like "Oh it's on" and off he goes. What have you done to him, Tears? Hahaha

It really is a blast. The (elite) enemies feel dangerous, even groups of purples. Extraction is always a chess match, and good grief if every time I die I don't grumble about losing keys.

Excuse me as I go farm the Police Academy while I still can, though

Massive sure knows how to turn the tables around. Everyone freaking out over the material exchange and then they drop this megaton. This is why I like to wait before going on rampant. To be fair, those who did MAY BE the ones who pushed Massive to change things. Either way, we all win. Game was fun, but it's about to get a whole lot better this Tuesday.

What happened to the guy who called Massive something along the lines of blundering buffoons and warned us how bad they were going to screw this game up? He warned us good. HEs for everyone!

Damn son. 100% HE drop rate with loot tables on each named NPC? DZ5 and DZ6 going to be a warzone next week. I like it.

So i bought my first HE a Vector it got adept, vicious and swift. Should i keep it or recalibrate it?

i'd want at least two of these talents, fierce, deadly, responsive, brutal.

i had a mp5 with destructive and ferocious that did quite well against enemies but left me at a disadvantage vs other players

Not true for these changes. Those are all server side which has nothing to do with sony/ms or any other certification outside of their internal QA.

This also doesn't have anything to do with actual code changes... they most definitely have a variable built into the existing code that they changed from 5% to 100% (made up the 5% number).

Haha, this is going to make soloing in DZ even more fun. If you're looking for me I'll be the one sticking to the shadows and subways.

We need to form a resistance group for solo DZ players. We can use the subway as our main means of traversal and have a "secret handshake" to identify friendly resistance members. Something like two jumping jacks followed by a surrender emote, or you could whistle the Mocking jay tune.
