Tom Henderson says he heard good things about AC: Shadows reviews :"high 80s, low 90s maybe?"

Ubisoft's very existence and a corporate takeover might depend on this games' performance.

Last couple of trailers and footage has looked great.

From everything I've seen, no shot it's 10 points higher than those games. Frankly, I'm expecting the usual suspects to use the Yasuke political shit to prop this game up like they did with Veilguard, but even then I'd be shocked if it hit 90.

You could argue the same the other way too. There'll be people using his inclusion as a reason to knock it down.

If Veilguard got 80 then no reason to assume this can't do high 80s. The game will get free points for inclusivity, so really if it's a game that deserves an 80 then we could see it bumped up to 85+. Remember, to woke media mob games like this are very important in order to keep pushing inclusivity forward. We are literally seeing some gaming media openly take points away from a game if it's not inclusive enough in their eyes.

Press scores means not much to me those days. I'll trust the Steam user reviews by a long shot to reflect the actual quality (if there aren't external factors like performance issues).

I think this game will become one of the best selling AC games in recent years and probably will review well based on what I've seen.

But it will get bashed like crazy because of the DEI nonsense.
 
Score doesn't mean shit to me either I like the game or I dont......It can get 10/10 but that wont make me automatically like the game.

You literally couldn't argue that because there aren't any games journalists like that. There is no such thing as a right wing mainstream media game journalist, it doesn't exist.
 
ITs gonna be an 80s game........and im going to have a blast with it.
I think most of my favorite games are always in the 70s or 80s.
When I see a game getting 90s i go in expecting to be absolutely blown away.....but my expectations are always too high.

I'm expecting from AC Shadows a situation similar to the last Dragon Age. Decent reviews and Steam CCU numbers at launch, only for it all to collapse in less than a week when people realize how mediocre the game actually is and that the reviewers lied to them again.
 
Literally nothing shown so far makes it seem like a low 90s game, but let's keep an eye on the activist "journalists" and see what happens.

78 is my guess. Just fine to play until better things come along.

Reviews are always subjective. And you cannot trust reviews from game journalist anymore especially with woke agendas being push and force. You have to trust your own instinct, conscience and discern.

I agree with you man. So far I haven't seen anything that blows my mind. That being said, Assassin's Creed games when it comes to gameplay footage look better or worse depending on the person playing the game. If you go to YouTube and look at some of these youtubers that play without HUD and make awesome gameplays, then you can appreciate how good the game can look if played right. These are games that dont look right if you play it wrong

The review embargo if I recall correctly its on the 18th

Valhalla was already way too overrated by the paid critics. I expect similar general shilling for this one. They must save ubisoft, to save themselves.

Users scores will give us a much better perspective on this game.
 
The last AC game to even hit a high 80 was Black Flag 12 years ago. Only 3 games in the entire series have hit an 85 or above and they were all 10-15 years ago. Commercially successful games for sure. Critically? Not so much.

Gonna go for something between 83 and 85.

Only youtube grifters are gonna detract point for political reason and their scores have no value in the mc.

Modern regular media would cut their balls off (if they still have them) before detracting points because yousucke is in the game.

I think this is the one I'll buy Day 1. Haven't done that since Black Flag. They're putting the time in to polish and save the company. I only have Valhalla cause of a buy 2 get 1 Target deal and I've only played about 10min of it.

Or there could actually be reasons such as it was just boring and the main character wasn't very likable. So no, it wasn't "the best AC game in years" for many. It was the worst.

I'm one of the biggest fans of AC series and I really like the lore and always keep myself updated

however ac mirage to me was the WORST AC game I've ever played
