I can believe they would delay a game just to spread them out and avoid people paying for one month and beating multiple games before cancelling. I can also believe it needs work because I have not been impressed by what I've seen of this game so far.

Ah, see, I don't pretend to care about the circumstances surrounding a company I have nothing to do with. My laughter also has nothing to do with them directly.
I was making a joke, but it's actually probably true. They've been a rushed AA developer pretty much since forever. Didn't get to finish KOTOR II. Didn't get to polish New Vegas. I don't think they ever have enough time.

Sweetie, you gotta be more obvious with the jokes. I'm the Alex Jones of this forum. "I'm gonna be honest..... I'm kinda retarded".

Shattered Space
Indiana Jones
Age of Mythology
Call of Duty BO6
Stalker 2 (3rd party timed deal)
Towerborne (possibly but still unconfirmed, 2nd party deal)

Long shot chance, maybe Replaced.
I was thinking more along the lines of 1st party AAA exclusive full game releases but if you're just looking at content then yea, that's a decent list..

I was making a joke, but sure thanks for taking the time to correct me. Hope you can spare a minute to eat something today.

Oh hello there, glad to see the ignore function is working well for you as always. I've eaten plenty today, thanks for your concern. An Xbox delay keeps the hunger away.
I can click it off anytime. I've explained this before, Lunchless.

Very much defeats the purpose.

Not at all. I don't get any notifications from you or see anything you write. If I ever get bored and curious I can click it off and see messages from the multiple people I've put on ignore only if I feel like it. Then refresh the page and it's back up. Super user friendly honestly.

No joke needed, delays are always great for the developers, it’s the publishers that don’t like it. Just means less crunch and they can finalize their dream project like they wanted.

And since I first saw Avowed I’ve always wondered why the conversations have bad lip sync when Starfield also made under Microsoft’s umbrella has nearly perfect lip sync. Different studios but don’t they share any tech? Obsidian should go knock on Bethesda’s door and simply ask how they do it, then do the same. If it’s mo cap, then do mo cap. If it’s software, then use the same software.
Hopefully they use their extra time wisely.

Since when delays are great for devs? I was under the impression that unplanned delays(real delay, not like gow ragnarok false date) means more crunch, not less.

Cool, there’s plenty else to play in the meantime. Why does GAF care though? Last I heard, this isn’t a real RPG because I can’t make my character fuck another character.

I'm one of the few people who really liked The Outer Worlds, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this. But it would be nice if for once Xbox delivered something when they said they would. I was getting fed up with the whole it'll be better next year, just wait. Since my X1X days. Either stop over promising or manage your studios to the point where by you actually know when its going to be ready - in short show more professionalism. It also feels like they've been showing us the same games coming for years.

My opinion on what ive seen and heard of this game are known at this point, but putting all that aside, I honestly knew this was coming the moment they announced that it won't be playable in Gamescom.

Generally you'd do that if the game was in any kind of "good shape".

Also citing STALKER 2 as an exclusive release in November that warrants this delay is sort of funny considering that:

A) It's not an exclusive, it's console timed for 6 months.
B) It's probably the most delayed game in their slate so far, which while understandable given the war, but the fact remains that the release of the game is not assured.

I have no idea why they are so defensive about this tbh.

If Avowed is delayed, good luck win Indy in 2024. December is a suicide month for AAA game and I don't see any feasible window for it this year.

Agreed. We’ve seen significantly more of Avowed than we’ve seen of Indiana Jones and what we have seen of Indiana Jones has mostly been curated cutscenes and some very rough snippets of gameplay. I can’t see any way Avowed gets delayed but Indy does not. Avowed is clearly much further along.

I have no idea if this is true of not, but if Microsoft has a bunch of bad news to announce, this was the week to do it.

Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Gamepass games don't have impact, over and over. Doesn't matter when it releases.

I mean... Is anyone all that surprised, it hasn't looked too hot the few times we've seen it.

But I doubt a slight delay is gonna fix anything substantially

Whether the "breathing room" is legitimate or not, I don't care. For me, I need the breathing room. The release schedule from August > November is stacked and I don't think I was going to get to Avowed until 2025 anyways.

WoW expansion
D4 Expansion
Shattered Space
Age of Mythology
Indiana Jones
Stalker 2
COD

Sure I'm missing some others, but trying to navigate these large games with a family, work and holidays is going to be rough.
Ahh... Someone with half a brain.

It didn't look very good from what I saw previously. Hopefully they can sort out that boring combat which they said they're working on.
Yeah, it seems too action based and I didn’t dig the animations or the environment either.

I have 0 expectations frankly as it’s going to be Fantasy Outer Worlds and I didn’t like that game.

If true, another example of GP not living up to the best value in gaming tag tossed around. For those who say 'its no big deal its still coming' or 'I've got too much to play anyway', every delay, every month that goes by without promised games means that months membership value is diluted.
