Black Lagoon was great. I enjoyed the episode but I can't unhear Amuro Ray coming out of Rock. He even uses the same mannerisms, grunts, etc. that Amuro does in Gundam.

I think just about anything other than Naruto would be better for keeping the momentum. I'd recommend FMA:B, myself.

I'm not a fan of Jack and I think it works better at the end of the block, tbh. It's such a sloooow show, so little dialog, it probably puts some people to sleep.

Nah Naruto would do the highest at that slot compared to any other show below it, plus it will eventually become a "new" show again when we get to Jiraya and probably keep going.
