Well I did get a Dualshock 4 for $39.99 not too bad. The Source, Best Buy and Futureshop all have it for that price so it's easy to find.

Also got a terrible deal on a 1TB HDD, only $10 off.

Just outside Yodobashi Camera at Akihabara.

A friend brought a mobile wifi router so I got a connection. Can troll you #teamwinter scrubs from here. It's a pleasant 17 degrees with a nice warm wind right now.

You better come back with some high tech Japanese weather controlling machine or you're dead to #teamwarm

Winter sucks, all season you be trying to avoid (audibly and visibly) sick people coughing phlegm everywhere.

Riding TTC is a deathtrap atm.

That high torch :')
The server will ask everyone beforehand about preferences and allergies. The chef will also repeat this as a just in case. Dude next to me wanted gluten free (-_-) and no dairy. His date wanted no wasabi even though she was Asian. The other couple wanted less wasabi. Wife and I said it was all good.

LOL gluten free and no dairy okay..

I don't like wasabi either, but my (whitey) husband piles it on. I also like to use forks instead of chopsticks dependin on certain food so when I ask for fork in canto restos people always give to him instead hahaha...

Akiba only had figures, gaems, and porn :(

Another plus for #teamwarm - people getting sick in the cold and spreading that shit.

Yeah, I rolled my eyes pretty hard at Mr. No Gluten and No Dairy.

It was raining pretty hard about 2 hours ago, but the weather is back to being warm and awesome!

Got into a car accident in Guelph last night. Might be switching to #teamfall
Hope you and candy girl are ok

Teamfall is team warm :<

So our 'world class' subway. The Tokyo one has notifications of exactly when the trains come and when they leave the station. Was just waiting around and went to a convenience store to get some drinks and sure enough the train came early and waited til the appointed time to leave. D:

There are also notifications telling how far you are from the next few stations too. I know I'm 5 minutes away. GG TTC and your 'longer than normal commute due to signal problems'

Ladies and gents, if you're into southern-style fried chicken, you NEED to try it at Indie Ale House on Dundas West in the Junction. The beers were pretty good (and reasonably priced too!) but cotDAMN that chicken was amazing.

Huge deboned chicken breasts with this really crispy-yet-light batter, all with a sweet honey mustard dip and a dill dip. Comes with a huge portion of potato salad on the side too. Wish I had pictures of it but I was too busy tearing into it!

I like being able to time when I get somewhere on the screen, also like the snacks available at stations. Dem warm milk teas in winter.

An era ends, the last remnant of the Blue Jays Bromance is gone. JP, Ricky and Lawrie. Profound sadness.

Kuro, which places are you planning on visiting while in Japan?

I think almost all of that Team Unit thing from a few years ago are gone:

JP Arencibia - gone
Brett Lawrie - traded
Colby Armstrong - gone
Ricky Romero - in the minors, never coming back.
Bozak - still haunts our dreams.

Stockyards is like 5 minutes away from this place. I'd rather go there.

Thanks guys, it was just me in the car. The lady was in Windsor at the time, and I was just finishing up driving my brother back to Guelph from Windsor. Wanted to head back to Windsor that night, just to get the driving over with, but while still in Guelph I got into the crash.

There was a car going the same direction who had spun out and was across both westbound lanes. I saw her from a pretty safe distance, quite a ways, but when I went to brake I just slid. Couldn't get control again, and the front-left corners of our cars met and we spun a bit. Nobody was hurt, the cars were just a little banged up.

There was even another, separate crash down the block. Crash was at 8:10pm, finished police report at 9:20, got back home from tow truck at 9:45, and then hopped on a bus at 10:15 to play my 11pm indoor soccer game. So much adrenaline.

Kuro, which places are you planning on visiting while in Japan?
So far
Shinjuku
A LOT of Akihabara
Tokyo Tower
Odaiba
The big convention centre where they have the Tokyo Auto Show (there was no show, we just saw the centre)

Foods thus far
Japanese curry
Indian curry
Yakitori with sukiyaki
Ramen

My...legs and stomach...! D:

Leaving for Kyoto in a few hours for temples and a deer park, a cat cafe, possibly a rabbit Cafe?, and likely Shibuya and Akiba again on the way back in Tokyo.

Food to try
Sushi - not sure where. Likely not high end. Wouldn't mind conveyer belt sushi.
Freshly made udon and freshly made soba
Some weird new year drink made by temples only around this time
More ramen
More desserts
Perhaps oden?
Weird ass stuff from the convenience stores
Make your own all you can eat tempura
Make your own all you can eat Wagyu beef sukiyaki

Shit I got this far
Got a bunch of mother 2 figures, a flip book, some small toys you get in balls from those machines, and I'm sure there was something else I'm not remembering.

Shit I might get
Clothes from Uniqlo/gaming shirts if possible
Asian Kung Fu Generation CD or licenced stuff
Monster Hunter stuff - I saw a few things but will think on it
Possibly GC adaptor but may not be around yet - Someone already asked so don't you team winter scrubs get any ideas
Weird ass sore throat drops for my mom

Misc shit
Did get propositioned in English for a 'massage' but was not interested.
Area near Odaiba had a ton of cosplayer a
Japanese people are so scared of heights - a lot of them were scared of look down area at Tokyo Tower
My Japanese is rusty but I got the idea across - a lot of people use Japanese for me instead of English cause I guess I fit in enough. My problem is they speak too fast. Still, I was able to get a flip book and I believe they thought I was a native or was fluent enough since I understood 'just' enough with a lot of other stuff that they just kept talking
Ran into a lot of Tokyo natives that speak passable to excellent English
I still love the transportation system here and will take bullet train soonish
UFO and pachinko rule Japan along with those capsule vending machines
Played the taiko no tatsujin drum game, this metal gear arcade 3D game, and bear 3 others just barely at MK GP

So much to do...if I die, have all the Toronto sports team lower me to my grave so they can let me down one last time.

None of them can hit, or pitch for that matter, we might as well get ruthless and be like when we were in the 92-93 seasons.

I ain't even mad. Jays need to start seeing noticeable gains on developing players.

True, but I don't think we'll really see any of our prospects develop into great players in a Jays uni under AA's watch as he likes to trade our prospects for established players. I'm still kinda cheesed they traded Henderson Alvarez, I really liked him :( I'm excited about Stroman and Sanchez though, they look really promising.

Lawrie has great D and range at third, his hitting was highly inconsistent though. JP had some pop but a strikeout machine and a lol worthy defense. And Ricky.... I had such high hopes for him and he let me down.

Bunch of stuff said making me jealous.
If you get a chance, try and and eat at this place called Thai Garden. https://goo.gl/maps/68Sbl Amazing Thai food right at the heart of Shibuya.

Dunno if you've tried Pepper Lunch but if you haven't, you should. It's right under the bridge at Shibuya Station. Soooo good.

Not visiting Osaka? As much as I love Tokyo, I find Osaka to be the better city.

My sister got a Lawrie jersey for her b-day, he had just gotten injured........she wore the jersey to his first game off the DL.......he lasted one inning and out was out for the rest of the season

She's not amused lol

Stroman and Sanchez look like the real deal.

The bullpen situation is worrying though. I wonder if all these trades will help convince Melky to come back.

I'm just along for the ride. In Kyoto now and we're to go to Nara tomorrow or the day after.

My feet are killing me.

The west end is getting worse and worse though.
East is pretty shit too though. I live several doors down from someone who deals drugs. There are constantly people coming and going all hours of the night, sometimes really loud and obviously drunk and/or high.

I've had to call the cops multiple times because I am always worried about people who might get off the 506 streetcar in front of our apartments (above stores on Gerrard St E) might run into one of those SOBs while they're tweaked the fuck out and yelling at nothing.

Hah I misread the weather app and went out today with a thick coat, scarf and toque. Turns out it's +11C not -11C. Had to take off everything as it's practically patio weather. Thanks kuro for reverse jinx
