my whole body was numb when I got back from one of my classes at like 6pm. So glad the cold front should be gone next week. The highs for next wednesday/thursday look awesome.

Lets hope it sticks.

Eczema doesn't make my choice to be #teamwinter easy, but alas...here I am. Cetaphil and vaseline are your friends. As are gooey prescription meds, but they tend to smell, so...

Have you tried the slather hands with vaseline and cover with gloves on your way out the door to work/school? I find that staves off the worst of the lot.

Of course, one's legs may still look as though one has shingles...but...it's a start.

Had to step out for a bit earlier tonight. I didn't bring my gloves, since I figured I wouldn't really need it for a brief trip.

My hands were fucking frozen within minutes. Painful shit. My ears were fine, surprisingly.

I knew someone here had a terrible experience with them. I'll look into Teksavvy then as well.

We can take solace in the fact that Ford is only a powerless figure head right now, with almost no support from any other councillors. Of course, having him as the face of your city leaves much to be desired.

It'll be business as usual, as it has been for over a year now. Ford had a majority turn against him and most his ambitious plans went out the window. Even more so now that most of his inner circle had abandoned ship prior to this ruling.

So how much do Magder and Ruby owe the city of Toronto now? Apparently they are now trying to appeal the decision with the Supreme Court of Canada. They don't know when to stop.

Edit: Hopefully the Supreme Court is smart enough to crush those 2 morons like the insects they are.

I'm ok with this, anyone either appointed or elected to replace him would have been tagged as undemocratic.

He's a spent force anyway. Even his budget chief quit on him. Mammaloti jumped ship, other righties like Minnan-Wong are angry at him because of his insane decisions. Council has done some great things while ignoring him and that should continue for the next two years.

With the incredibly dumb 'Transportation city' idea dead and Transit City back in full force the next two big things for T.O. are the casino and what to do with the Gardiner.

Exactly. There will be less complaining from Ford's side and he doesn't hold any sort of power these days. Not exactly the face I want for the City, but he's been keeping a surprisingly low profile. Maybe now that this is over, he'll start up again.

Pretty much. I never expected him to be removed in the first place, so I didn't have any real hope of a huge overturn, and even then that might not have been best from my POV.

The important thing now is that this whole mess raised awareness over what a spectacular piece of shit the guy is. That's a win in my book. You can bet the left will be back with a vengeance next election, none of this middling Smitherman crap. Olivia Chow will probably still run.

Wow, what a way for the appeal to be overturned. Rob Ford technically didn't vote on a pecuniary interest, because one didn't exist, because the imposition of the repayment was ultra vires, because the repayment was punitive as opposed to remedial, because Rob Ford didn't directly receive the funds.

The reasoning of the court is sound and I wouldn've predicted that in a million years. It was rather vindicating though to see the appeals court agree with the entirety of the rest of the application judge's rejection of Ford's arguments.

My eczema is far advanced from that. Cetaphil and vaseline do nothing for years. I'm already on the strongest steroids (ultravate for the bad flare ups). Derm is Ralph Florence, best in Toronto but impossible to get appts with if you want a good derm.
