Sammy Sanchez is like a kamikaze pilot :lol

Imagine his mom, watching this race.

He's from the North of Spain, we aren't scared of anything :lol

43 seconds behind Alberto and Andy, easy for him.

Bloody hell was that close. :bow to Andy and Alberto. They'll duke it out for the next week or two for the GC win.
I don't know, unless Schlek rides the time trial of his life, Contador pretty much has to shadow Schlek and it becomes an issue of how much time can Contador gain on Schlek during the individual time trial to win the Tour

But that's good, as it forces Saxo Bank and Schleck to attack and attack and attack in the Pyrenees as there's no other chance to. I'll eagerly watch the ding-dong battle between the two of them and their teams and their attacked like what happened earlier when they decimated everyone else.

I hate being back at work, I work 9pm - 1am, and the tour is on tv here in Australia from like 9:30pm til 1am.. So I miss it all :(

anyone know somewhere I can download each days stage :( sigh. even just the last 50km

Awesome race, but sad to see Evans lose so much.

Good rides for Leipheimer, Menchov, Gesink

Great ride for Schleck, Contador

Edit: Couldn't find any live streams, but live blogs are actually good ways to stay up-to-date on the Tour. Maybe cycling is like baseball in that you don't necessarily have to see the action in order to have fun following the game.

ahwell, I'll have to make do with the weekends stages!

And then there were two. What a climb. Tomorrow should be an interesting stage, because after the first climb, there isn't really anything too difficult.

i thought Evans was just having a bad day and cracked the sads when he dropped off the back on Madeline.

but, with a fractured elbow i'm prepared to cut him a huge amount of slack. riding with a fractured elbow up climbs (who the fuck am i kidding), riding with a fractured elbow must fucking hurt and hurt more up climbs with the pressure you put the handlebars going up hill.

The tour of crashes, it seems.

A shame Frank Schleck isn't available for Team Saxo as it would make the Pyrenees battles so much more awesome.

Stage 10:

  • Km 77.0 - Côte de Laffrey - 7.0 km climb to 9 % - Category 1
  • Km 98.0 - Côte des Terrasses - 3.3 km climb to 7.1 % - Category 3
  • Km 145.5 - Col du Noyer - 7.4 km climb to 5.3 % - Category 2

Should be a pretty uneventful day after everything that happened during stage 9. Andy in yellow will be nice though (even if he doesn't end up winning the tour).

Well me saying it would be pretty uneventful turned out to be somewhat true. Hell, they rode so damn slow yesterday that my DVR didn't record the finish even though I had it set to go +30 minuets :lol Will be interesting to see who will win the stage today (assuming it will be a sprint finish).

Sucks how the stage ended today, Farrar really had a chance I thought. The pace towards the end of the stage was insane though. Tomorrow's stage should be interesting with the steep climb at the end.

Last 5 km will be interesting today, not because I think there should be any big gap, but I'm pretty sure Andy is going to attack, and we will see if Contador can keep up with him and show his strength.

Well that was reversed. Contador appears the stronger

Yeah, I think Contador made a great attack from behind, caught Andy surprised.

Also I think Alberto made a mistake, he should have agreed to let Purito win the stage, last 400m he lost a couple of seconds trying to control him.

i think Contador has the advantage still, even though he is second.

Schlek is not a great TT rider, whereas Contador is more than reasonable. I think Schlek needs more time that he currently has.

Yeah last time trial is going for Contador, that's why I thought Andy was going to attack today, he needs every second he can get.

He isn't going to have enough time :( At least Andy is still in Yellow for another few days it would seem.

Kind of a retarded move by Contador.

If he wants Vino to work for him, he shouldn't be stealing his stage victories!

Yeah I couldn't stop laughing when that happened. Complete dick move on Contador's part. You could see Vino cursing while he arrived at the finishline. :lol

It's not a dick move. He had been targeting this stage, he saw a moment when Schleck wasn't glued to his wheel and he took off.

I could totally ride this stage... until the mountain :lol Going to be interesting to see when the attack comes and who moves first. I'm also thinking that Thor might have the Green jersey wrapped up at the end of the stage today, but who knows?

Impressive cycling by Menchov and Gesink too. And Riblon ofcourse.

Here is hoping one of them attacks (and more than once). Today was an insane stage, but it was kinda boring with Andy just trailing Alberto for the most part. At least the battle for 3rd is heating up.
