When somone pees is tradition to not attack, and Armstrong and Alberto wasn't yellow jersey but Andy got and advantage thanks to that, is retribution as I see it.

And this was different, it was a technical issue, is part of the race, maybe for now on, when a F1 car has a technical issue, they should stop the race, allow the driver get another car, and restart the race as if anything happened.

And not everyone, Jalabert and Bruyneel thinks Contador did anything wrong....

Alberto publicly apologized. If it was not disrespectful he would have not done so. And he should be given the same respect now that he is in yellow.

This is about respect. And what makes cycling such a great sport. The yellow jersey no matter who is wearing is given more respect than any one else. This isn't about advantage. If Armstrong or Alberto were in yellow and had something similar happen to them my feelings would be the same. You need to get over this Andy didn't wait crap. This is not about Andy or any other rider, this is about the yellow jersey.

I love Armstrong :( Too bad The Tour does not seem to take a lot of interest over in the states?

I think Armstrong is more well known here in Belgium then in the US:lol Well tbh i do not care too much about the tour, but i do have respect for Armstrong, and he is pretty much the only reason i kinda follow it.

That and my girlfriend ...

Wait, what. Armstrong is pretty much the only mainstream cyclist known in the US. Hell, he, his recovery from cancer and his yellow bands pretty much ensure he's well known

just looked at the weather report for Pau on thursday.

I would probably fall off on my rest day ride and not be able to continue.

That stage profile and this

Forecast - Heavy Rain and max 18C. Pau is at 165m Tormalet is at 2115m, Marie Blanc 1035 and Soulor at 1474. Those ascents/descents are going to be COLD and DANGEROUS.

no thank you

Barredo is now alone ahead of the Armstrong group. I think the old men (Moreau, Armstrong) are going to be frustrated today.

Damn today's stage was awesome. Didn't think Armstrong would survive in the break the entire way, but he did. Rest day tomorrow and then the final climbs.

Just heard the weather report and it's some pretty apocalyptic shit out there...

TV and Radio vans have problems parking on the Tourmalet, slipping away in the mud etc. Panic even. It's been raining non stop since last night.

Damn, now you got me wanting to stay up and watch it all live instead of hitting the sack in like half an hour and watching it on DVR later this morning :(

It's all going to happen today, how could you NOT watch it live?

1:33 AM now, race would be finished at about 7:30 AM :lol

Watching it on the DVR without being spoiled is basically as good as live, just ~4 hours later than everyone else

Heard about how bad the weather was but this will be epic.

Hello fellow ciclism fans, I have just arrived home.

Can't wait for the final "col" of this tour, it's going to be epic and with the bad weather, more drama is assured.

My bet: Andy will attack and will gain AT LEAST 1 minute to Contador at the top.

I would love that but I dunno. I think Contador is going to lay the hammer down today.

Cancellara did a great but short work.

Astana only has Dani Navarro and Vinokourov with Alberto seems.

Edit: Wel, don't count on Vino ...

Dani Navarro goes to the back too, Alberto is alone, and SaxoBank only has one more guy... and we are still left with almost an hour of epicness.

Andy strategy is the right one if he's looking for a huge gap, instead of waiting to give a hard attack, just a constant strong rythm, if he can break Contador in the next kms he has the tour.

Edit: What a huge amount of fog, I hope we don't have problems with the TV signal.

Edit2: I fucking hate when people run alongside the ciclists, gtfo asshole.

The morons on the sides of these stages are 1,000x more annoying than vuvuzelas. I want to ride on the back of the lead motorcycle with a shotgun so badly. Ahhh it bugs me so much, get the fuck out of their way!

Congrats to both men for the epic ascent. Alberto will keep his yellow so congrats to him once more and Andy for the stage win and the white.

Contador gave Schlek that stage and good on him.

gave him his due for making the running all the way up the mountain.

Yeah, that's what Contador said right now at Spanish TV, Andy did all the work today and he felt that he shouldn't dispute the win.

He said that he felt better than expected and he had a quiet and nice climb, no problems.

The TT is going to be amazing, everyone knows that Contador is better on paper, but you never know until you cross the line.

Man, who would have thought the Tour de France would be decided by a bike chain and cobblestones at the beginning of the race :lol
I don't think those decided it tbh.
Contador is just better overall, not by much, but by enough to make a difference.
