Tried my first Scotch Single Malt. I think I'm in love.

Glenmorangie 10 is a really good. I generally enjoy Highland and Speyside single malt whisky. Glenmorangie is a highland whisky. I would recommend you some Glen Grant 10 it's a Speyside whisky which I enjoyed very much. there's also Loch Lomond Original whisky (I think it's ten years old) it's cheap and nice. As for blended whisky I really enjoyed Monkey Shoulder and Japanese whisky Nikka Blended and Nikka from The Barrell - Nikka is really good! Doesn't loose to single malts. From the barrel was an awesome whisky, but it has 51,4% alcohol so you should drink it on ice if you're a beginner.

Welcome bruv, popped your like cherry

It's not scotch, it's Japanese whisky. That particular one is $200.
Scotch, Whiskey. Same fuckin' thing.

Pretty sure I had that one when a friend bought a bottle. Can't remember if I liked it. He wouldn't shut up about it, though.

Is that whiskey bar with like 500 different whiskeys and big ice troughs still around in Brisbane city?

I've really been on a whisky kick and been drinking probably more than I should. :messenger_grinning_smiling: FWIW I'm drinking for the taste and not for the effect, so I'll maybe have 3 or 4 drams a week.

Bought a bottle of the Glen Moray sherry cask finish for 30 bucks. Amazing stuff at an incredible price. I think for Christmas I;m gonna ask for a bottle of the Glenfarcas 12 year old.

I got like 3 bottles for Christmas from different people. WTF is going on. :messenger_tears_of_joy: I have enough Whiskey for like 2-3 years at the rate I drink. I got a bottle of Eagle Rare, A Glenfarclas 12 year old and a bottle of Sazerac Rye. I've only opened the Eagle rare, but that's the best Bourboun I've ever had in my life. Holy shit that stuff i good. Looking forward to trying the Glenfarclas.

I've been into whisky for many years now. Thank you for starting this thread.

If you like Glenmorangie 10, then the Glenmorangie nectar d'or, or the other more expensive line will blow your mind. It is truly nectar of the gods. I think Bourbons are so one dimensional while scotch, you have so many different profiles.

If you liked Glenmorangie 10, i think you'll like Balvenie 12, Glendronach, Glengoyne, Highland Park, Glenfiddich 14, Glenfarclas, Oban.. Damn, there is so many!

I must say that I've tried many Scotch and Irish whiskys and I still prefer bourbon any day of the week.

So, anyone else into bourbon?

I tend to prefer Irish, then Bourbon but Scotch wise this is beautiful ...

Not peaty or smokey - smooth and ever so slightly sweet.
