Trump supporters want to boycott these businesses after the Super Bowl

I doubt most know what boycott even means. They are that dense. It seems that that they are so enraged about the most basic aspect of being American. They deny that their own ancestors went through similar things to get to the US and it's deeply troubling how nativism ruins that aspect of American.

The other companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The opposite of this - companies refusing to take any sort of public stand on the side of basic human decency - has always sorta befuddled me. Like, I understand the surface reasoning:

"We don't want to take any stance for fear of potentially alienating a significant chunk of our clientele"

I get that. But how is that not an insult on some level, as well? It's basically saying

"Look, it's probably a decent bet a lot of you are real pieces of shit. So shitty that if we ever released an ad that intimated, say "Racism is bad, and Gay people are human beings" you guys might take your business elsewhere. So for the sake of your feelings and our bottom line, we'll be quiet"

I guess that bigoted money spends better, considering how protective a lot of companies are of it. Even when faced with the potential of increased goodwill and potential customer loyalty, they'd rather (over) value continued patronage by people who might get upset at things like "Our immigrant-founded beer company was founded by immigrants" in a commercial

I mean, I understand the cultural algebra, I guess. But it's so automatically fucked.

Take a look who is most silent of all.

Yep. Just like how I'm being called a "liberal" for the first time in my life because I don't hail the white supremacist god king and hold the government to a basic standard

That's honestly one of the more frustrating aspects of this presidency: It's one of the best opportunities for Republicans to reshape the narrative of their party in some manner, to actually make inroads towards fomenting legitimate goodwill. And so many of them are choosing party over country while a mentally diminished racist treasonous slumlord sex-offender of a failed casino operator wears that R in the White House.

There are an abundance of free, cheap, and easy image rehabilitation options just sitting there with every ridiculous, outlandish, beyond-satire type actions the management is taking, and the only conservative of any note who seems to be consistently standing against it while still adhering to basic conservative tenets is, like, McMullin?

I think it's just McMullin.

Maybe Rand Paul?

It's frustrating as hell.

Take a look who is most silent of all.

Heh.

But I believe Iger actually bailed out of his advisory committee position, didn't he?

None of the creatives employed by the company seem to be getting any sort of admonishments for speaking out against the administration, either.

How many Trump supporters were really shopping at Nordstrom, Starbucks, or Tiffany's anyway?

I mean obviously not much at Nordstrom since they got rid of Ivanka's brand.

That'll be the day. There is no way that the Trump supporters I know could boycott Budweiser AND the NFL.

They wouldn't have anything to talk about for half the year, and they wouldn't have anything to drink. These are the guys who give me shit for drinking Guinness and Loose Cannon, and if doesn't say Bud on the bottle they ain't touching it.
Yeah, it's pretty hilarious. They've rejected all the "liberal" beers and got nothing left.
That being said, there's money to be had here... maybe come out with an Alt-Reich beer. It would really be colored water, but they were told it was beer so they'll defend it to the death and tell everyone it tastes even better.
Well they were already happy drinking Budweiser, so it wouldn't be much of a change. :p

I like when they boycott something by buying more of it it. Like when they made Starbucks write Trump on the cups

Lol @ boycotting Tiffany's.

The engagement ring I'm hoping to save up for is like 18,000 from them. It's not boycotting if I do not have the funds to buy it.

I'm super surprised anyone could be put off by the Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) commercial. I personally hate their beer, but it's about as tasteful a commercial you could get when you're talking about the United States being built on a nation of immigrants. But no, saying that Bud was made by some dude who came from another country to America is grounds for boycotting even if it's true.

Have they figured out how to boycott without purchasing from the business they're boycotting yet?

#boycott seems to work for most of them.

Jesus.

They're boycotting Tiffany's? I mean, if you're at a point where a company that got rich off of blood diamonds is TOO INCLUSIVE FOR YOU then maybe you need to re-evaluate your position. Really, just re-evaluate your life as a whole, because you're probably a disaster.

We're 3 weeks into Trump and I'm already bored of him.

None of this shit even means anything. Nobody is going to boycott these companies.

My dad yesterday was arguing Lady Gaga should have said more about the current political climate during the halftime show.

I can't imagine the meltdowns that would have caused.

I felt Lady Gaga handled her Trump protest well. It was classy and it pushed what's supposed to be the better part of American ideals.
The fact it enrages Trumpites is hilarious. Hannity was probably so pissed waiting for some big vulgar fuck you to Trump.

Grandfathers on the more conservative side in his 80s but managed to convince him pre election with the assistance of Trumps behavior to not vote for Trump. He enjoyed Lady Gages performance and even complimented it a few times.

You really got to be a hateful pile of shit to come away offended by Gagas performance

What was wrong with Gaga's performance in the eyes of Trump's fans? She sang America the beautiful, some of her big hits, and danced a bunch in weird outfits, that's Gaga. What did I miss?

Haha, what?!? Do they not know where Trump's dad is from? I'm sure he's one of the good ones, though.
Literally it just showed him coming to America from Germany and making a beer. The American dream ...?

Anyway, if even half these people are serious RC really is gonna blow up. I assume most Trump supporters need to be constantly chugging cola to offset the insulin they're taking for the diabetes.

They'll boycott them when someone else is around, it gives them a reason to bitch. "Oh no Janet, we'll go to the coffee bar on the first level, I'm not about to give Starbucks one cent."

Come to think of it, this would actually be great. At the mall near me Nordstroms runs the only non-Starbucks coffee shop in the mall. Have to be careful, they'll get stuck in a loop.

But what if the go to the movies to watch the latest cristian movie and all the beverages are from The Coca Cola Comapany? =O

That sweet sweet unregulated Flint water.
Luckily for them lead can taste sweet.

Lead acetate, also known as sugar of lead, is a salt that (ironically) has a sweet flavor—a fairly unusual quality in poisons, which are more likely to taste bitter, signaling to the taster that they are unsafe for consumption. The ancient Romans used the compound—which they called sapa—to sweeten wine, and the aristocratic segments of the population could toss back as much as two liters a day (about three bottles’ worth, although wine was usually diluted with water).

One of the songs she sang was Born this Way, which is overwhelmingly pro-LGBT in its lyrics. Why a problem now and not, oh, six years ago when it was new is a mystery.

I feel the same way. She played it too safe.

That 84 Lumber ad must be making them absolutely FURIOUS. I just watched the whole thing and thought it was great. By far the most political ad of the lot.

So, my mom is a hardcore Trump supporter. She went crazy during Bush II and I'm not sure she's said anything politically sane since Clinton. I don't know what happened, honestly. BUT she actually said positive things about the Budweiser commercial. I mean, she said "it's a nice contrast to those sanctuary cities," but she also said she couldn't understand why people were mad, and she doesn't even really drink beer anymore.

I was shocked. Shocked.

twitter doesn't mean anything.

do you think these people will actually boycott anything? It's like when gamers say 'ohhh boycott this game rage rage' then you check the steam 'who's playing' when it releases and everyones playing.

idiots will just say things.

I mean, this is at times true, but I also just wanna say this is also what people said about Trump himself. /sadforever

But: there's no way people could boycott these companies and continue to exist in America (unless you don't have any economic anxiety, I guess), which is also sad.

Shit, now I'm depressed.

She said "liberty and justice for all." That 'for all' part makes them uncomfortable.

Her message is generically inclusive. Can't have any of that.

They're scared to adopt liberal views. They firmly believe this is the hill they have to die on to secure the Republic. 8 years of not having the White House has turned them into Trump's personal cocksuckers. It's almost sad cuz they know if this all fails, which it will, they're fucked.

84 Lumber's ad is obviously not pro-wall.

They show the journey of a mexican woman and her daughter. Nothing more obvious to try to humanize illegal immigrants. If it was pro-wall they would show some shady guys with guns and drugs.

The US builder uses the lumber to build a door, which is left unlocked, so the illegal immigrants can enter the US.

We see the little mexican girl made a US flag with scraps.

We see them entering the US.

How can anyone think that is pro-wall is beyond me.
