Trump tweeted out a video of him "beating up" CNN

Shit isn't funny man. That's the president of our country promoting violence.

Even with the body slam recent thing we all know trump isn't smart enough to connect those dots. Someone else made this gif for him, he thought it was hilarious and pro trump, so he tweeted it out. He ain't advocating violence just like when Sunni makes an E3 gif he ain't advocating anything but laughter

Saying anything else is literally fuel for republicans to whine about how sensitive liberals are for thinking he's really advocating violence by posting that

Holy shit that's nuts! How does a candidate body slam a reporter and then still get elected?

Still don't think the POTUS meant this in a dark manner. But with a recent event like that in the news this comes across as insensitive to the max.

What in his recent behavior has led you to believe that the man can engage in "banter". That gif is as light hearted as someone posting a list of exclusives on GAF when mentioned that his console has none.

Feelings got hurt. Cant express in words. Post a GIF.

There is no wink wink nudge nudge here. Just anger and childishness.

Someone should do a CNN version of Trump taking a stunner.

Ehh, we still got this:

6 pages in and no one has put CNN on this? C'mon GAF! We gotta tweet this at him lol

I didn't leave the thread. I actually changed my mind in this scenario.
Started off laughing at the shitposting of our POTUS. After hearing about that recent bodyslam of a reporter I'm left feeling like this was an insensitive retweet that will do him more harm than good.

No.

You also said you still don't think he meant it in a "dark way" and haven't responded to the people pointing out the numerous times he supported violence during the campaign.

hahahahhaah

Inappropriate because of his position is one thing, saying this encourages any kind of violence...just lol. It's like saying some people kill because violence in videogames.

Remember when a GOP nominee literally chokeslamed a reporter and got a bump in his numbers?

Yeah, this is the world we actually live in.

Trump knows what message he wants to pass with this rhetoric, pretending otherwise is to be incredibly naive.

It is funny how much Trump hates the media, this is his pc way to show his desperation. Someone should play him "death around the corner" by Tupac.

Their defense will be "lighten up LOL".

But it will be interesting to hear whether the reportera and anchors on tv call ot a giff or a jiff.

Trump's authoritarian tendencies towards a free press were on full display last year. He posed a clear existential threat, and yet the press largely didn't take him seriously; you can tell this by what they did choose to cover.

The press can't claim to be shocked at any of this.

Sure they can. Their top priority is to make money as opposed to stopping threats.

Trump is joking and trolling and it's working

nah, you can't call this joking and trolling when his administration has been on a crusade against CNN (or just free press they don't like in general) since day 1. It's the context here which makes this particularly pathetic, and yet nerds continue to lap it up.

Right, but his administration claims that Kathy Griffin stunt was promoting actual violence against the President, and that a production of Julius Caesar is left-wing violence.

I don't know. It's fun to point out that these people are hypocrites who don't actually care about violent rhetoric, but it's also just fueling the political hysteria in this country.

Hard to believe some people think he's doing this for fun or in an ironic manner.

Looks more like something a teen with anger issues would do because he knows he'd get his ass whooped irl.

What context? He's been calling CNN fake news for months and now they are the only big new organization to announce layoffs due to fraudulent reporting. CNN left him this opening and now they and the world are getting trolled

Donald Trump is our president. The only appropriate response is hysteria.

Your Presidents have been bombing the middle east for years. This is nothing new.

Yes because killing terrorists or disabling dictators ability to chemical gas their own people is the same thing as Trump saying protestors should be in stretchers or offering to pay legal fees for assault

Except.

No, it's not *shakes head*. Oh America....

Putting CNN in a gif is not meant to be a political strategy that changes the world, its to troll his new hashtag which he created to control a narrative and is filled with a bunch of dumbasses running amuck on aocial media propagating this buffonery with no retaliation or response. A few of us trolling with a WWF gif is not that serious.

So Kathy Griffin holding up Trump's head was also hilarious(
It wasn't
)

I don't find this funny, but you'd have a point if he posted an image pretending to decapitate a CNN anchor or executive. This is a fake wrestling gif. Not even remotely close.

The context of his never ending assault of the free press he doesn't like? The pathetic tantrums, and the cameras not being allowed to roll? CNN being an big news organizational actually holding itself accountable for some shoddy reporting doesn't change anything unless you're an easily amused child.
