Let me push a Trabant through Nurburgring like a boss.
Looks like the usual suspects in the list so far, barring a few - the 911 GT1 Strassenversion is back from FM3 (wasn't even in Forza 4!):
And the 928 GTS is totally new (although leaked in FH3 files):
The 918 is already in this list, check 2014 Porsche.
Finally the Porsche 928!
I've been waiting for this moment...
At first, I admit, I thought the game was shipping with 167 cars.
I'm really hoping we get Evo VIII MR
AFAIK they've said Maple Valley is back.
Silly number of cars.
Put those resources into tracks.
Considering FM6 already had a decent track roster, (one that returning circuits like Mugello and Suzuka will only make better), I'd rather Turn 10 invest in simulating more systems so that many of their 700 cars don't feel redundant; it's well past time for things like hybrid powertrains, active differentials and electronic driver aids to be modeled and realistically implemented, so that contemporary cars can be more than simply crude approximations.
Outside of the compromises the roster size forces on vehicle simulation, though, I have no problem with Turn 10 doubling down and playing the numbers game. With their most notable competitors on console offering more focused experiences, car count is an undeniable advantage to Forza, especially for players who just want to boot up the game and find whatever suits their fancy.
That's not exactly where I wanted to see the series go, but it's not like there's a shortage of options, on both console and PC, to scratch whatever itch Forza doesn't. Everyone wins!
Know what I noticed that irritates me? They never use the mid gen refresh models for the Civic type r or integra. It's always the 96-98 Civic and the 02-04 integra. The refreshes of those gen cars look much better.*patiently waits for Hondas to be revealed*
Type-R ALL OF THE THINGS.
And Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati, etc. They're fans of sports cars though so it's expected. Personally I'd love more old standard cars, it's always fun to tune up some junk car to a sleeper. So many Porsche... I guess some fan are okay with that.
So many Porsche... I guess some fan are okay with that.
Well considering all the whining we're used to after Turn10 previously had to release paid expansion packs for Porsche cars, you'd think people would be happy for them to include as many as they can in the base game...
There's still another 500+ cars to announce. FM7 will easily have the biggest and most varied roster of cars in a racing game this generation.
I canIt would probably be easier if Turn 10 listed the cars that aren't in FM7.
Over 700 cars.
700.
I canlist one.probably
Mazda Furai
Look at all that Porsche available at launch. Sweet stuff.

I'd love to see the F1 LM and/or F1 GTR as well!
One thing that has caught my attention since the game was announced is how they managed to nearly double the amount of ribbons while apparently only adding a few new (or returning) locations.
BADNED has teased that FM6 was still missing a lot of ribbons on existing tracks. So, in that spirit, I've went through the list of confirmed tracks and all FM6 tracks as well to add those missing ribbons to the list.
I've come up with a list of 166 layouts out of 32 locations, much more already than the 115 of FM6 (DLC included) but still pretty far from the 200+ announced for FM7.
Now that's where the biggest guesswork starts. Based on the fact that they've announced 30+ and not 35+, I'm guessing that the list of location is below 35.
From the SmartGeometrics leak of a few years back, there's still Pacific Raceways that we have yet to see so I've tentatively added it and its 3 possible ribbons to the list meaning we're still 30+ ribbons short with just one location left to add.
Looking at videos of the Dubai track, you can see that this is going to be one with several ribbons so I've put placeholders for 14 alternate ribbons (which could include reverse and drag strip), this would place it between Rio De Janeiro and Camino Viejo from FM4 in numbers of layout.
Speaking of Camino Viejo, and since we've seen a trend of content from FM4 coming back, I'm betting on a return from it and its 19 layouts.
If we add everything, that would mean 202 layouts out of 34 locations as seen below. This number could probably be higher if they were to include 1/8 mile drag strip on top of existing 1/4 mile for example.
I've put in Italic the additional tracks/ribbons and bear in mind that it's really only guesswork on my end so the final track list is likely to be quite different.
I can live without the airfield or the Top Gear track. Hopefully Daytona and Homestead-Miami return.
It was awesome when it first showed up in Forza 4, but the novelty is long gone. The top gear track is the fucking worst. A giant figure 8 piece of asphalt with cones that no one follows. Garbage racing.
Utterly pointless to keep around for the awful bowling or whatever.
Don't forget Saab and Volvo, Turn10!
And I want more old classics, I want an old Saab Monte Carlo V4 and a Volvo Amazon 123GT
edit: I miss a lot of the original Forza tracks too... especially Fujimi Kaido
watDude.
'first 167 of 700'
Chill.
wat
edit: holy hell thats a lot of cars, I had FM3 I don't suppose it had even half of that

Hoping for more BMWs in the coming reveals. They went balls deep on Ferrari tho.
Still no f1.
Sad.
Just a showcase of X power, just like 5 was for the One.
Forza 8 is going to be the hit. Like 6.
Is it strange I'd like to see some normal everyday cars in there? My favorite part of GT was always getting to find the car I actually drive and tuning it.

Where's the McLaren 720s? I hate that the newest sports cars are almost always dlc.
