I disagree. I went into this watching the Ultimate FIGHTING Championship.

Not Ultimate Game of Tag. Not Ultimate Running Backwards Championship.

I think pro wrestling might be the sport more for your liking. You know, something where strategy, tactics, technique and style match ups play no role in.

I'm waiting for this postfight meltdown. Diaz is done with the UFC, I know Dana is not going to put up with this shit its going to be great. Diaz run out of MMA for good with bitter tears.

Yeah what a dookie storm that was.

Dana: Who with the what now?

Sonnen Silva on.

I'm tired of these "journalists" trying to play match maker through Dana. You guys are not Joe Silva and never will be.

But hes in the pocket non-stop. Hes no hitting and running with the intent of scoring points, hes in there with the intent to TKO you.

why do people think condit, of all goddamned people, was trying to point score and not KO diaz?

Why in the hell would Condit stay against the cage instead of circling out? This shit makes no god damn sense. Condit would land a shot with his back against the cage and take the chance to circle away. No one in their right mind would stand with their back against the cage and just take shots. That's what Diaz wanted to do and Condit stopped him from doing it. Plain and simple.

He walks forward. Watch boxing, no one, NO ONE just sits there and lets someone back them into the ropes and just rail on them. They move outside of the pocket and fight at distances with movements and angles in the middle.

Get over it, not every MMA fight is stand and trade and see which rock em sock em fighter wins. I thought it was a great technical fight, just like Shogun-Machida I and Edgar-Penn I. If Nick Diaz actually knew how to fight in the middle, he would have won, he didn't, he got hit with strikes, he didn't know who to do anything except move forward and try to flurry him. One dimensional and he lost because of it, deal with it.

And he hurts you with it. He busted up BJ worse than he's ever been beat up. He dropped and retired Frank with a body shot. He TKO'd Semtex, one of the most lethal strikers at 170.

Calling Nick a point fighter who tries to look busy just isn't true at all.

I get that. Believe me, but Condit didn't wanna stand and trade or even exchange a few combos because he was afraid to stay in the pocket. Hence the kick and circle. I get his game plan, it was "Smart" I just hate that THAT was his gameplan, relying on points.

I love how this guy asking questions is constantly prefacing with "Y'know, people ON THE INTERNET are saying _________" as if there's some kind of agenda or he's trying to get people riled up. Kinda funny.

He landed plenty of shots. Look at Diaz's face. He counter punched. It worked. If he didn't think standing in the pocket why would he do it? Just because the fans wanted that kind of fight? Fighters don't fight fights how the fans want them to. They fight how they train to.

Why was the intent necessarily to "score points?" Condit threw a lot of leg kicks because they're effective against a guy like Nick Diaz. He doesn't check them often and leg kicks in general help to control range, which you want to do against someone who primarily boxes.

Condit also threw strikes even with his back against the cage; that was one of the main reasons he was able to always circle back to the center so quickly and repeatedly.

Since Condit had Nick confused in general as to which strike was coming, he was able to negate Nick's usual against-the-cage brawling barrage by throwing a push kick or other strike at that point and then quickly moving back to the center as Diaz took the strike.

We weren't going to be seeing Nick Diaz TKO'd. Dunno that anyone in the division can do that at this point except for maybe Ellenberger.

I don't even mind that he did that -- everyone has a little bit of pussy in them these days. I just think there was at least one round where he did far more circling than he did kicking. While Nick spent the round walking him down and landing the better shots.

Hey Yaco, let us know who you're gonna back next so we know who's next in line to bitch quit after getting beat in a main event.

Josh Koscheck is no fun when he's not in character.

And it's weird how Carlos Condit is totally doing Ryan Gosling's character in Crazy Stupid Love.
