WAR Diaz!

Whoever wins is going to defend the interim title before any potential GSP fight I think. I think Ellenberger has a chance to knock either Condit or Diaz off in the summer.

Did you watch the GSP interview after the weigh-ins?

HE ASKED DIAZ TO NOT FIGHT ANYONE IF HE WINS.

I need to see an ass beating soon of people who have no other options in life...because some pieces of shit broke into my parents house and stole a bunch of shit today. Im feeling a little like Charles Bronson right now.

That sucks man. I had my house broken into probably about 11-12 years ago. Lost about a thousand dollars worth of stuff, it was right after Christmas. Luckily insurance paid for basically all of it but I was really pissed and punched the wall a few times.

If GSP isn't ready until November at best, they're going to wait 9 or 10 months? Dana is going to get them to fight again.

Doubtful Georges is out until November and besides that, Cesar already said he wants Nick to wait.

GSP/Diaz is way too big for Dana to risk having Ellenberger beat Nick's ass.

If your parents live in Lodi, Ca you can mark the Diaz brother off your list of potential suspects. I have video proof that they are nowhere near Cali.

I don't know when he's supposed to be back, I just heard November from one of the press at the presser the other day, but I don't see Dana letting the title just sit even longer if it's going to take the end of the year for a fight. That's the problem with MMA now, everyone is waiting for something or someone to come along, then an injury happens and then it's more of the waiting game. If GSP was quicker to fight last year he may have not got injured in the first place, these drawn out training camps and stuff for 2 or 3 fights a year are getting ridiculous.

I dont blame Diaz for wanting to wait for the payday. It will probably be a few million dollars. Why take the chance of a wrestler killing your payday.

The something everyone is waiting to come along is dat cash money.

Uncle Dana wants 1,000,000 buys.
Georges wants to beat Nick.
Nick wants his seven figure payday. So does Conduit.

No party involved has any reason to fight again before GSP is healthy.

Sounds like Georges knows a big payday when he sees it. This is the last opponent people will buy into at 170 for the foreseeable future. Why ruin a good thing by risking it against someone like Ellen Berger?

If Conduit wins he can fight to his heart's content until Georges returns. The belt means nothing.

Well we can wait until 2013 because by the time GSP gets healthy, the other guy will get hurt, and we'll be playing the Jones-Evans game all over again. People wonder why UFC's buyrates are falling because ring around the rosey with matchups, well it's this kind of philosophy that's doing it. Then again, this is the same company in all of it's retardedness has only had GSP fight twice a year three straight years until he got hurt last year anyway.

And what if Nick fights Ellenberger and gets injured during the fight? Same thing.

Guys get hurt in MMA. Deal with it?

Not the same thing, guys rarely get injured during the actual fighting, usually through drawn out training camps trying to peak themselves instead of just taking a flurry of fights and short training camps, i.e., Jon Jones.

But hey, if Uncle Dana thinks it's great to hold off on a hypothetical fight when we could be here next year at this time still talking about it, be my guest. They'll learn their lesson when the buyrates keep sucking without anyone to put on PPV cards.

Cant blame the ufc for gsp not being a fighting champ. Hopefully jbj fights 3 times this year.

I think they could exert more pressure and reward of fighters to fight more, especially with the way guys like GSP and Anderson Silva's fights usually go - without a scratch on them.

Offer some kind of bonus if they fight 4 times in a year like Jon Jones. Fight 4 times, you get a million dollar bonus, or so on. Or conversely, less money per card for fighting less. They don't seem willing to do it, but then again, they may rely on it more with the way things have been going lately and more cards to fill per year.

Jones/Evans would have happened in 2011 but Jones got "hurt" during the Shogun fight, forcing Evans to fight Tito, during which Rashad broke his hand on Tito's thick ass skull. Your dear friend Anderson got hurt, somehow, during his last fight and is going 10 months between title defenses.

GSP didn't get hurt because he sat out six months, he got hurt because shit happens.

Jones vs. Evans would have happened, but then again, we got fights out of each anyway in the meantime. So instead of both sitting around waiting where we only get one fight from both guys, we got three (Evans vs. Tito, Jones vs. Machida, Evans vs. Davis.) I'd hardly call that a failure.

And that's really the point. Shit happens, but when you fight twice a fucking year, shit happening means you suddenly go from fighting twice a year to possibly once in two years. That's why when you have the chance, you fight guys faster, and don't sit on your ass for six fucking months.

Ummm, a torn ACL?

Dan Henderon is currently sitting out for a title shot by the way.

He's earned it with how old he is, his workrate, and his last fight was an absolute war. I don't see why before GSP got hurt his decision fests where the most damage he took was sweating, why he fought so infrequently though.

I would call Evans/Tito and Evans/Davis failures.

Honestly dan henderson has had one of the best careers in mma history. Tons of top wins, his losses were to the bests of his era in close fights, and has largely reinvented himself in the last 3 yrs.

What's Frankie Edgar's excuse?
What's Jose Aldo's excuse?
What's Anderson Silva's excuse?
What's Junior Dos Santos excuse?

You understand no division in the UFC, except maybe 155, churns out more than 2 contenders per year right? Who was lined up to fight GSP before Diaz came over from Strikeforce? Fat ass Baby Jay? You were the same dude saying 170 was cleaned out last year.

So, by the time GSP is 38, he'll start having a wicked right hand?
