The final Scottish seat (Argyll and Bute) is scheduled to be called at 12:30 GMT. In all probability it's a safe Liberal Democrat seat. There's the possibility that the Tories may sneak in. I'm praying for LD or SNP.

12:30!?

The fuck have they been doing all this time? I know there's some remote polling stations in a lot of Scottish constituencies but come on, get that shit sorted, son. We have a squad of runners waiting at the polling station here in Sunderland.

Why are some seats so slow? It's getting fucking ridiculous now.
Seems to be a lot of recounts going on. Then there's the messy ones that were delayed by people camping outside and delaying the ballot boxes. Then some have more people, postal voting issues, etc etc.

Then there's a whole bunch of constituencies that don't even start counting until 9am.

Wouldn't you be in favour of that though? :p

You know me too well. I hate Nick Robinson.

Sunderland doesn't have dozens of islands.

Fixed that for you.

No excuses!!

Well to be fair all the other island communities in Scotland have got their votes counted on time. I wonder if there's something special in Argyll & Bute that we don't know about.

Surely no one in the lib dem or labour base would blame the lib dems for going into a lib-lab coalition to get electoral reform done. Surely...

Labour would be risking slightly neutering themselves as well.

Can we have Vince Cable as chancellor while we're on?

I just took a peek at the daily mail website. Its hilarious. I felt a tiny bit of RAGE, but then I noticed a saucy picture of Emma Watson. I suggest you all go check it out.

It's laughable to include the SNP in that Labour Super-Coalition. The shit would just not work.

SF should make an exemption and come in to support Lib-Lab. The conservatives are not a friend of the republicans.

Also: would the small parties not support lib-lab if electoral reform was promised?

From an outside perspective, I don't see how you could possibly get a stable coalition out of this. Best bet is a temporary coalition centered around electoral reform and an acceptance that once that's achieved, the government will fall on differences not long after.

That would be acceptable and a good compromise between all three parties.

That's pretty much what most of us would expect, I think. Could easily see a situation similiar to the coalition that took power in Japan in the '90s, where they basically got together on the single issue of electoral reform, and once they'd completed it started arguing and fell apart after 10 months.

Also, I wasn't watching through the night, just up to about 1.30 and then this morning, but is it just me or is Labour WAY MORE on the media offensive?

I think I've seen Mandelson 4 times now, and he's coming up again on Sky News.

They're doing a good job of putting out 'their narrative' that there are lots of options.

That Nigel Farage plane crash story is just too funny. I saw this little chain of images on the Telegraph website where I read the story, and thought it summed up the hilarity of the election pretty well.

I honestly hope he'd be up for that. He does look tired, but happy :D

I think he's happy because he loves doing this, he really loves politics especially when there's "chaos and confusion". He's really just there for the ride :D

Well, time to go home. Hopefully nothing epic happens in the next 40-60 minutes whilst I'm walking home.

And the Big Book of Political Cliches keeps getting quoted:

"Labour's Lord Mandelson says the public has voted to "turn the page in the political book" but has not decided "which chapter to open"."

How many times dae A have tae tell ye's? Quit it wi' that patter ya fannybaws.
