How old are you? I mean no offense, but that single fact probably answers the question.

GAF is very liberal in general, but I think it's partly the history of Tory governments leading to great inequality, not to mention the way they have just come to power (smear campaigns, Cashcroft etc)

You have to be ignorant of the past to ask why anyone would be against the Conservatives.
The past? Who cares about the past.

WE WANT CHANGE.

I'd understand your gloom if the Conservatives hadn't literally been bent over by Laws and Huhne's superior negotiating prowess.

We're not getting PR, but by the sound of it we're getting almost everything else. This could be so much worse.

I for one will tolerate our Conservative Democrat overlords. For now.

All hail the Conservocrats (or the Libservatives).

David Cameron just made a great speech, I'm sure he'll be a fantastic PM. Maybe the lefties can stop going on about Thatcher now?

Well, I'm very much against Labour as a whole, so eh. I think they've really fucked this country over since Blair took office. And I remember full well when Thatcher and Major were in office, as well as when Blair took over.

Everyone has a different view, anyhow - and that is simply mine.

I imagine your reaction to be of this nature right about now:

UK PoliGAF thread of abandoning the Lib Dem ship

Seriously, I'm guessing GAF is a Labour stronghold now? Until further notice, I'll remain a Lib Dem.

For now!

What's the deal with all the deals between Cons and Libs, I haven't heard anything yet.

As will I. I'm anti-Tory, but I reckon this is probably better than hung parliament. The Lib Dems had no other choice.

So you know what Thatcher and Major did to this country?

Better than the absolute mess that's happened in the last few years thanks to Labour. It's all well and good for the people who are poor enough to be on benefits, and those rich enough to not have to worry, but for people in the middle like me and my family, Labour have done nothing to help.

Fuck all the chavs, gypos, immigrants and teenage delinquents on benefits getting more money than me and my family do, even though we work like hell as opposed to them never working a day.

Can't wait for the lipread experts to come in on that one; I'd love to know what they were talking about amongst the jeers.

Unless the deal they sign is really really horrible, then i'm on that boat too. After Labour spiked any Lib-lab deal they went with the least worst option, even if that cunt is in downing street.

Depending on the concessions they got out of the Conservatives, I'll likely remain a Lib Dem too. Thy were left with very little choice if they wanted a stable coalition that would give the public a good impression of coalition politics, and by the sound of it they got a whole lot out of the Conservatives and got rid of a lot of Cameron's worst policies.

Again, this could be so much worse.
