So I got my first political phone call on my cell phone yesterday.

I interrupted the lady and said: "NOPE, no need. I'm already Team Obama."

She replied: "OH............ Well that's good, then!"

yeah.

Us Pennsylvanias were starting to seem to become mostly spared back in September, but then the middle of October happened and there was like one or two polls that had it relatively close, and then it turned into Fool's Gold and just late last week I saw 6 anti-Obama commercials back to back to back with 1 positive Obama commercial sandwiched inbetween.

:(

Not being in a battleground state and watching relatively little TV, I have seen so few ads. It's surreal.

On the plus side, you don't have to listen much to neither of the dumbasses candidates.

On the minus side, they don't have to care that much about your state...

Mourdock is losing bad now in Indiana because of that rape comment. He was expected to beat his democrat candidate. How is Akin doing in MO?

I got a robo-call a month back for a local congressional race. It was disguised as a "survey" but the questions were like:

"Would you be more or less likely to vote for Candidate X if you knew that he was convicted of tax fraud?'

"Would you be more or less likely to vote for Candidate X if you knew that he had a restraining order against him?"

etc.

It was really quite disgusting.

What's next, "would you be more or less likely to vote for a candidate that released a video of them punching kittens?"

I'm almost finding it hard to believe that you got this call...

ABC predictions:

George Will: 217-321 R (says MN will go Romney)

Cokie: 294-234 O

Everyone else basically saying a tie - coming down to popular vs electoral. WTF.

Am I missing something with that? If you select dem for FL & OH and rep on all the others, it says Obama will win. If you select rep for FL & OH and dem on all the others, it says Obama will win.

Obama has more safe EV than Romney. A lot more.

I think polling methodology is the new progressive taxation in that the people who seem to be most against what's going on really don't know how it actually works...

Seems the whole election has been about basic math - from the economy to the polls. You either like math or don't.

So anyone got money down on this election?

I made bank last time with Obama. Pretty sure it's going to happen again, so I've thrown down another 5k. Tempted to throw down 1k more just for the hell of it!

This shit has been over for months now. Obama always had that OH/WI/IA/NV route to 271 and Romney hasn't cracked it at all, that's why he's wasting time in PA today, he knows he needs it.

And via 538, Bams' chances in those states

Ohio: 85%
Wisconsin: 94%
Iowa: 83%
Nevada: 89%
Pennsylvania: 97.3%

And just to put PA in perspective, Obama has a better chance of picking up Arizona 96% for Romney), and that's not happening.

So on Tuesday, vote!, then sit back, order some good grub, and drink in those glorious GOP tears. It'll be glorious.

I wish! I made some bank in 08, but no takers this year, unfortunately.

Got 4k on Obama. Another 1k coming in via a check I sent several weeks back. Wish I would have gotten on this intrade stuff sooner. Just follow Nate Silver and make money.

I love how the right believes that Romney can flip blue states like Wisconsin, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. Shit is laughable.

- Marijuana legalization, Colorado and Washington

The House capture is absolutely never happening though, I think we can effectively cross that one off this cycle.

I just hope nothing bad happens. 2014 is so crucial its ridiculous. There's a LOT of seats to defend and take.

Do you guys think Obama will steal any extra points out of Nebraska like he did last year?

If I remember right after the last election they chopped up the democratic block that gave Obama one of Nebraska's electoral votes by gerrymandering.. err I mean redistricting. Too bad, I was really hoping it was a sign of change for my home state.

I'm going over my sample ballot to fill in the gaps on people that I just haven't heard much about and I'm always surprised when I do this how hard it is to find unbiased information about local politicians. It's easy to look at the high profile races and find the information you need, but when it comes to thinks like city council, judges, etc, I always have a tough time finding info about them. How do you find out information about local politicians that you've not really been exposed to?

I think GLBT success might be one of THE biggest stories of the night if all four measures go our way. If you had told me ten years ago that we'd be this far along, I'd be a bit surprised, honestly.

I'm leery about MN, ME and WA on Same Sex Marriage. Those states all have huge tracts of rural areas that detest their urban counterparts.

i've been begging for over 5 years.

Yea the house capture is going to be tough. I know in my district there was only 1 name for congress and it was Crybaby Boehner.

It would be a very good step forward if the Marijuana Legalization measures were passed in CO and WA. As a country we would see those states climb to fiscal superiority over all other states and we would have ballot measures of our own soon to follow.

It's called wishful thinking. Hope someone records those precious Fox News moments on Tuesday...

But from the standpoint of entertainment a Romney win might be even better.

And it's not just the state polls -- a wave of popular legalizations will give the Supreme Court space to rule for gay marriage nationally. (And, honestly, there's a good chance I think that the same is true for marijuana, except with the DEA.)

Wow. That's some supreme hopium right there. Unfortunately, I think SSM and Marijuana will see some defeats.

Cable news media has ran with the close horse race narrative for over a month trying to artificially make it seem tight when in reality it was never tight at all.

Romney has never over taken Obama in State polls and never crossed over the 270 Electoral Collage polling average ever during this entire campaign

+Romney has been campaigning to be President for the past 6 years
