Not being in a battleground state and watching relatively little TV, I have seen so few ads. It's surreal.
So I got my first political phone call on my cell phone yesterday.
I interrupted the lady and said: "NOPE, no need. I'm already Team Obama."
She replied: "OH............ Well that's good, then!"
yeah.
Here in Wisconsin, they've been non-stop. They'll even play the same one twice in a row.Not being in a battleground state and watching relatively little TV, I have seen so few ads. It's surreal.
Was messing with the Paths to the White House NYT page. OH, VA and NV and it's in the bag, feeling pretty good about that.
I got a robo-call a month back for a local congressional race. It was disguised as a "survey" but the questions were like:
"Would you be more or less likely to vote for Candidate X if you knew that he was convicted of tax fraud?'
"Would you be more or less likely to vote for Candidate X if you knew that he had a restraining order against him?"
etc.
It was really quite disgusting.
Am I missing something with that? If you select dem for FL & OH and rep on all the others, it says Obama will win. If you select rep for FL & OH and dem on all the others, it says Obama will win.
Obama has more safe EV than Romney. A lot more.
My ideal night:
- Obama win
- Warren win
- Bachmann loss
I think polling methodology is the new progressive taxation in that the people who seem to be most against what's going on really don't know how it actually works...

I wish! I made some bank in 08, but no takers this year, unfortunately. So anyone got money down on this election?
I made bank last time with Obama. Pretty sure it's going to happen again, so I've thrown down another 5k. Tempted to throw down 1k more just for the hell of it!
This shit has been over for months now. Obama always had that OH/WI/IA route to 271 and Romney hasn't cracked it at all, that's why he's wasting time in PA today, he knows he needs it.

Yup. Her winning along with a few gay marriage ballot measures going well would make for a really strong night.Add to this a Baldwin win and I'm right with you. First openly gay senator coming from my state would be awesome.
My ideal night:
- Obama win
- Warren win

My ideal night:
- Obama win
- Gay marriage goes 4 for 4 at the polls
- Tammy Baldwin wins
- Dems get the House
- Hietkamp/Warren/McCaskill/Tester/Berkley/Carmona win
- Bachman loss
In that order.
- Marijuana legalization, Colorado and Washington
The House capture is absolutely never happening though, I think we can effectively cross that one off this cycle.
Do you guys think Obama will steal any extra points out of Nebraska like he did last year?
I think GLBT success might be one of THE biggest stories of the night if all four measures go our way. If you had told me ten years ago that we'd be this far along, I'd be a bit surprised, honestly. My ideal night:

I just hope nothing bad happens. 2014 is so crucial its ridiculous. There's a LOT of seats to defend and take.
Amirox, you need to believe.

The most important thing is Linda McMahon loses and stops doing politics.

I love how the right believes that Romney can flip blue states like Wisconsin, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota. Shit is laughable.
It's called wishful thinking.

if it's not Barack don't fix it.
but what if it is Barack?
if it's not Barack don't fix it.
but what if it is Barack?
And it's not just the state polls -- a wave of popular legalizations will give the Supreme Court space to rule for gay marriage nationally. (And, honestly, there's a good chance I think that the same is true for marijuana, except with the DEA.)
My ideal night:
- Obama win
- Warren win
- Bachmann loss
Is Bachmann likely to lose?
Nope. I think she's polling 6 or something points ahead of her opponent. I could be wrong on that though since I haven't looked it up in a while.
