We had a mock trial at my school today.

One of my freshman said to me, "I think it was a bad idea, kids are getting angry at each other and getting into arguments and yelling about politics."

I laughed so hard and told him it was worse with adults.

Romney is doing all he can against a very popular president that will be tough to unseat. He needs to appeal to all factions of the GOP and in doing so act like a real life Many-Faces from Masters of the Universe. Yes, his 5 point plan is very hollow but its still a plan. There's a great majority of people in this country that are uninformed and don't take the time to research the candidates. His 5 point plan will suffice for those type of people. Having a hollow plan is better than a failed plan - and when I say failed plan I mean the majority of Obama's campaign promises being not fulfilled.
If Romney wins, I really think moderate Romney shows up as I think he truly, really wants to do a good job and the only way he can do it is by reaching across and working with the democrats. He's already rich and he desperately wants a positive lasting legacy (partially to make up for his father's failure).

Just want to stop for a second to help you recognize the cognitive dissonance you just showed in this post. You claim that "anything" is better than a president whose has a "majority of campaign promises" unfulfilled. I'll put aside the debate about whether this is true or not.

By definition, because Romney has promised everything to everyone, he will necessarily be breaking promises to virtually every segment of the electorate that exists. There is no possible way he won't be doing this at a record pace.

I can respect your point more about simply hoping Moderate Mitt shows up. At least that is based on something. But I cannot really feel this idea that you want to reject Obama because of his "failed promises" (seriously, I have plenty I'm annoyed at too, re: marijuana attacks, civil liberties attacks), because on the balance, he has fulfilled tons of promises too. So it's a little bizarre to me to simply just go for the other guy who has no possible way of meeting any of his promises.

But it's not a plan. It's a wish list. It's as if I told my wife I had a plan to make us millionaires, she asked what the plan was, and I said "By acquiring a bunch of money!"

All of the economic variables have been phased out of the 538 forecast. So the Nov. 6 forecast is the same as the "Now-cast". The reason for the big jump tonight.

He was going to get banned anyway for thinking ohio goes to romney assuming the colors were meant to be switched

Unless it's a 2 day ban for everything he was wrong about. Then it's a 106 day ban (2 for each state, and another 2 days for miscalling the election).

at the hospital on suicide watch for those 48 hours if my prediction falls through and the disaster that is ObamAmerica continues.

Just admit you messed up the colors.

In order to get an equal amount of idiotic statements from the other side you have to cherry pick from lots of different sources. This guy just went to one rally. I assure you the same wouldn't have happened at an Obama rally or else we'd have video of it. All we get is the Obama phone video and a few other isolated occurrences.

Seriously... there's no point in comparing anything but on-the-spot interviews at a single rally or some other Obama support event.

Not only that but the little bit I listened to of the audio-recording that dude linked sounded like homeless people giving their take.

At least the Romney videos are interviews with legit "American" families.

Anddd that's why I shouldn't go on the computer immediately after working out. Hahah I should give my body time to cool down!

Yeah, I had a brain fart. Scratch Ohio, but Florida and North Carolina?

Florida is always a toss-up. You can pretty much guarantee you'll see people reporting wrong-doings there tomorrow.

The biggest question I have: what will full of shit Mitt and Lyin' Ryan do after tomorrow night? Will they continue to eschew reality? I could see Romney settling into a less partisan role somewhere. Ryan will still be at it in the House, though.

He'll do what Palin did and remain in the spot-light for a bit continuing to shit on Obama but without the restraints of his campaign managers.

How the fuck did OpinionatedCyborg rope in so many people. Your love of hopium is clouding your minds.

I haven't been in the PoliGAF loop much this cycle. It's hard to tell who just trolling and who is legitimately crazy when you just pop into the random thread. Besides, both such individuals typically are banned pretty quickly.

It will be interesting to see what Ryan does next and if he can break the streak of losing VP candidates who never recovered. I think it will largely depend on the direction the GOP takes as they figure out how to regroup. They'll either move toward the center (unlikely) or be even further hijacked by the tea party whackjobs, in which case Ryan will probably be fine.

Romney will just retire, POTUS is the only job he wants and he's too rich to need to do anything else. He'll probably just sit on some boards and give some lectures.

I'm really hoping for a bitter, spiteful rant, but I know the party marketing team is not quite gone enough to allow that.

It's weird when you troll people unintentionally. I started playing with the map and found it amusing seeing Texas blue and NY red. I thought I would share it. I like my tag because it alerts people to the fact that anything outrageous I say is not meant to be taken seriously, but apparently it doesn't work 100% of the time.

Obama gives them each cabinet positions just to see the expressions on their faces.

Totally worth it.
