Hey guys !
Do you have any news about risk of rain and salt and sanctuary on ps vita ?
I can't say for sure if these games are coming real soon or not !

Someone reporting on reddit that SD Gundam G Generation Genesis is getting an Asian-English version.

Cannot confirm because I can't get on Bandai-Namco Asia's Facebook page from the UK :p

Both have been reconfirmed be the devs in the past month as definitely happening. Let the good times roll.

The icon for XCOM is so hideous and stupid.

I'm telling you guys, some Vita icons... what were they thinking? XCOM has an immediately recognizable image associated with the game - the silhouettes against the blue background - and instead they go with an alien head that means nothing to anybody who hasn't played the game. And even then, you can do better than that.

I would be interested in a "best and worst" Vita icons thread. Some are excellent, like Rogue Legacy. Some are simply terrible, like XCOM.

Bandai Namco Asia is slaying most publishers nowadays with games that no one would ever touch.

Pretty weird to think that by the end of this year I'll own as many Gundam games in English (Breaker 3; Extreme Vs. Force & this) as I do in Japanese (Breaker 1; Breaker 2; SEED Destiny).

... and I've still never watched the anime, lol. I just like the games.

I think they could also have just had the Xcom organisation logo from the game itself!

Nice idea for a thread. I'm not that keen on faces of protagonists (although the Killzone one is cool), I tend to prefer the more graphical ones.

Flicking through my Vita, Freedom Wars is good, also Child of Light and Thomas was alone.

Another Gundam game. What's the differences with all these games? I really like to have one. Is Gundam Breaker 3 a good entry point? I like fast paced action games, but if there is one with RPG elements, that's also nice.

Extreme Versus Force and Breaker 3 are fast paced action games, this is an SRPG.

EXVF is more squad based (you control one Gundam and command other squads) and has mission types like capture and hold bases and escorting as well as "kill all enemies" while Breaker is more about defeating certain enemies. Breaker lets you customize your own Gundam to destroy the huge Gundam while EXVF only has pre-existing ones. Getting new parts and customizing is a big part of Breaker and pretty fun. Breaker 3 will have online, EXVS doesn't.

Extreme Versus Force is like a 3D action fighting game like Virtual On.

Gundam Breaker 3 is like dynasty warriors where you manage your own parts and weapons

Gundam Breaker 3 will have hundreds of hours of content and grinding, Extreme Versus Force is you pick a favourite gundam and fight other Gundams and clear stages.

H all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew whether a English version of "Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence" for Vita was ever released?

I found this PlayAsia product page[1], which says OOS/OOP but I don't remember it getting released?

I also can't see an (English) Vita version on any of the PSN stores I've checked.

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.

Cross posted with the other Vita thread if that's okay?

Just had an email from Rice Digital announcing...Gal Gun Mr Happiness Edition for £64.99.

http://www.ricedigital.co.uk/store/gal-gun-double-peace-ps-vita-mr-happiness-collectors-edition

Does anyone knowledgeable enough know if the regular Vita version of Gal Gun is also exclusive to ricedigital and why it specifies that the US version they sell is ESRB rated as opposed to the presumably PEGI rated EU version?

They're an official distributor for two regions and happen to be using the same shopfront for both. It's possible they have to specify which version is which for legal or licensing reasons.

That said, it's probably more likely that the game has DLC and they don't want people complaining that the version they bought can't download their region's DLC. This way they can turn around and say "Hey, you ordered that version, it's your problem".

If it was that wouldn't they be specifying R1 vs R2?

I thought maybe the ESRB one was edited to clear a rating, and the PEGI one was maybe more lax for sexual content, what with being Europe. I just need to know for collector cataloging purposes.

They said that the game will be uncensored in both regions, so it only really matters for DLC purposes.

Hoping for VGP+, myself.

Better start tweeting them. I talked to a manager at one of their stores and he said that specialty games that they stock is directly correlated by how many people ask for it.

The Good:
Dragon's Crown

The Bad:
SAO: LS

The Ecchi:
Senran Kagura SV

Also a ton of faces lol.

Thanks guys. Looks like I have to get them both. Are the vita versions solid in terms of framerate? I prefer playing on the vita, but a solid framerate is king. Gundam Breaker 3 has a PS4 version as well. If it is 1080p 60fps I just may double dip.

I think I posted this in another thread about Gal Gun but I fully expect an artbook + Game limited edition release liek they did with S;G to pop up on Game UK etc. Ill get that. Also that will be up for preorder much later going by how pqube lists stuff. Defo getting the game though.

Amazon UK or US would be ideal for me for this.

Also that gundam mobile ex vs or something on vita that is physical only in asia but digital outside, is it worth buying at all for playing alone without local coop?

BlueMaxima made a YouTube video that I watched and I remember him saying the framerate is not completely stable in the Vita version. I have only played the first games myself and I thought they ran pretty well. The PS4 version is normally better in all ways but portability.

I think so. It's all mission based but I liked the gameplay and it sometimes posed a decent challenge. The camera and reliance on a lock-on system can get in the way a bit sometimes but it's a fun game if you like Gundam, or just blasting giant robots in general. Not among the best games on the console but if you're looking for a pretty solid action game then I believe you can have fun with it.

Are Vita Lego games still ports of 3DS version? I'm playing now Lego Movie and the difference in quality is shocking when I compare it to my memories of Lego Harry Potter few years ago.

The most recent Lego Avengers Vita game is supposedly more like a port of the console versions, unlike the 3DS ports you mention.

LEGO Marvel still shared everything with 3DS so it wasn't as good as it could have been, but it's a MASSIVE step up over the isometric games michaelius is talking about. They're fuller releases now, but sometimes miss some of the features of the home console versions (i.e. lacking open worlds in some cases).

Since about LEGO Batman 3 (I think) the games have picked up in quality substantially. So anything from 2015 onwards is worth looking into.

For the record, Avengers is the first LEGO game I've enjoyed on the Vita. The open world is really fun to mess around in.

Also apparently GB3 remote play has been blocked.

Hmm maybe i should wait for GB3 and just get that. thanks for the info.

Me too. It's silly that Acttil has no twitter presence to even tease when a possible announcement could be made.

It's not silly, it's dumb. I mean, a company that has no social media presence is one that people tend to forget all too often, even if your output is small.

I hope this doesn't backfire for them. They technically have only two? games under their belt. A stealth release would be bad.
