Rally has started. It's packed! Thousands of people won't even get in.

Symone Sanders asked everyone to chant " We Stand Together" if there ever happens to be a disruption. The response has been great.

Bernie could steal it from someone, with enough pop buzz and the right kind of support. One of the bigs would probably tack on as VP.

Or vice versa, but I don't really want to see that.

The crowds he attracts is amazing for someone so left of the US political spectrum. Really excited to see if it has any impact on Hilary's run and/or stances.

Wow 10k viewers on YouTube, that speech was pure hype. I am not an American but just imagining Bernie in 2016 and AMLO (our Mexican Bernie) in 2018 brings me some little hope for the reality of my country, North America could change amazingly for the better. Everything he said I agree completely, American Left please don't disappoint the world.

is he polling well against republicans though?

Quinnipiac [PDF] says that as of July 30, "Sanders beats Trump 45 – 37 percent. Bush edges Sanders 44 – 39 percent and Walker slips past Sanders 42 – 37 percent." His numbers were consistently on the rise, going from 4% at the start of the year to 17%.

Can't forget about Mulcair in Canada who has a large chance of defeating Harper in October. Harper is conservative who just proposed a travel ban to places with terrorist activities.

Don't worry we will!

I was gonna mention Canada but I am really not that familiar with their leftist parties but I'm somewhat familiar with Harper with Canadian posters in GAF (that complain about their expensive video games :P) so I'm gonna look into Mulcair.

Stand together guys :')

Does Bernie have a real shot or is he more like a 1/100 type guy?
He has more of a chance at winning than Ron Paul did with Republicans. Honestly, he'd be the favorite in a race that doesn't involve Hillary (or Biden who isn't even running so far).

I'd vote the shit out of a Sanders/Biden ticket. Bernie would face domestic affairs and Biden could tackle foreign policy for the sickest tag team combo. Too bad this is the stuff of dreams.

I wonder how much this could change down the road after Jeb and Walker crawled their way through the first Republican debate.

The last time the american left won with a dude like Bernie his name was Jimmy Carter, and the only reason they won was because Nixon, and poor 'ol Carter was absolutely slaughtered by Reagan once the dust settled. DNC has learned its lesson since then, and have been pretty center left ever since the clinton years, and will remain to be so for fear of inadvertently unleashing another Reagan on americans by pulling an Icarus move, as well intentioned as that move might be.

Bernie lost all chance at the nom with that "socialist" tag he's placed on himself, sad as that is. DNC is perfectly content with maintaining the status quo with another center-left candidate while slowly inching progress forward enough to maintain power and not alienate the center. It's honestly the smart move, really, and one they'll be sticking to until the GOP pulls its head out of its ass and becomes a contender again, which is something they might be able to do if the DNC gets over-cocky and shoots too far to the left this time for comfort.
