Wolf: Well Obama won the debate according to you guys 48-40, skewed toward more republicans...so we're just gonna call this a tie.

arghh i can't tell what is real anymore... i know he did that last week but did he actually call it a tie again?

Why the fuck do i still watch CNN, they are fucking infuriating me. Can't say that Obama won without adding a "but".

I mean, even with a neutral eye saying Debate One was a disaster, Obama kicked Romney into the gutter.

lol CNN mentioning the profuse sweating

Do the CNN and CNBC polls take into account that majority of undecided voters that most assuredly will not know how to work an online poll?

At least MSNBC is mentioning the CBS poll.

and LMAO @ the punditry shifting narrative when the polls came in. You useless fuckwits.

Wolf: Well, if you compare the difference between Obama and Romney, tie has a higher percentage. Therefore tie.

I assume your criteria for Romney winning is not getting in a fist fight with the moderator.

Seriously, why is it that Romney supporters actively won't admit when their guy loses a debate? It doesn't mean he lost the election to admit he didn't look very good.

When conservatives hear bad news: What? Everything's fine! That's not bad news at all! In fact, it's really good news! We won the debate, even though polls says we lost! Polls are skewed!

When liberals hear bad news: The sky is falling! Abandon ship, abandon ship!

The right tends to ignore/warp reality to fit their own ends. The left get scared and admit defeat at the first sign of trouble.

ugh, News stations discovering the internet is like your dad saying "lol"

They had no problems saying Romney was all over Obama's ass in the first one. Obama has had 2 victories, that's good enough considering there are more Democrats than Republicans

Europe actually has a country where abortion is illegal across the board. North America does not.

Europe actually has a country that bans the construction of new mosques "minarets" *wink wink*; North America might not be politically friendly to Muslims, but we don't have anything like that.

Please don't thumb down your nose unless you're entirely sure of what you're saying.

I didn't say every country in Europe.
Well I could start to argue why it's forbidden there but that would be another topic.
Besides it wasn't my intention to attack the USA in that points, my intention was to point out why on earth are such points are even discussed.

The entire debate tonight and the other 2 debates were nearly identical to typical debates I saw over the French,German or other elections.

But I never saw a similar debate in the beginning of an election cycle like the always upcoming debate over abortion.
There are some other topics as well but this has kept me wondering.

I have no choice but to watch CNN. Sky (Murdoch owned) in the UK gives few US centric options besides other more right wing options ie Fox News, which I wouldn't go so near except for some laughs or for extreme dissatisfaction.

Obama dominated the debate. Romney seemed rather reserved and spent a lot of time agreeing with Obama. He has spent months basically talking loud, and I was surprised he didn't continue that bluster tonight given the conservative view that foreign policy is all about being a dick to friends and enemies.

+1. I didn't pay very close attention, but I was surprised that Romney decided not to refute numerous direct attacks

Does the "can obama handle it" make any difference?

You could take the time to explain to your family that Obama was using horses and bayonets as a particularly dramatic and pointed rhetorical example of how we spend less on certain military resources as those resources become less relevant to military strategy over time, but it might not be an argument worth having.

I wasn't able to check out the thread while watching I just watched it by itself, how did gaf react and how do you feel overall about Obama's performance? I thought he was very good but they both basically said the same shit the whole debate with the exception of military spending. Obama had many more 'zingers' than Romney and I felt was much more clear about his positions but he showed without a doubt how center-right he is.

Romney's best moment I think was the end, he was able to get the final word and that's a big win regardless of what you say. Kkeeping on hammering 'the last 4 years' is enough to make independent voters think he knows what he's talking about so that was worrying but we'll see (gonna check poligaf now for polls).

Obama's best moment by far was basically treating Romney like a child when it came to military spending and the navy comment. Basically pointing out warfare has changed and it isn't about huge bloated stuff anymore but intelligence and small scale operations. I wonder what undecided's think about Romney wanting to spend 2 trillion more on military.

Oh and the constant Israel jerkoff back and forth was so eye rolling. When will we get a president that doesn't bend over to them so much. I still have no clue at all why we have to be involved in their affairs it's baffling to me.

He tried to make Obama look bad for attacking him, since he knew obama would be coming after him hard, and this is his area of strength.

"Attacking me isn't a plan!" came up at LEAST twice.

It didn't work. Romney still got dominated.

This makes me question if Romney even wants to be president anymore. He just seemed tired and not really into it.
