D'oh!

Jesus I hope they get the guys what a bunch of fucking retards.
He should know. He's the director of the Woodbridge, New Jersey police department, and is the boss of the Rangers fan who sustained the worst injuries, Neal Auricchio.

Not only is Auricchio a 4-year veteran of the Woodbridge Police Department, he trains other officers in field tactics and is a Marine Corps veteran, who was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained during two tours in Iraq.

At his home in Colonia, a police patrol has been posted to keep reporters away from Officer Auricchio who, Director Hubner said, does not wish to make any public comments. Hubner added that Aurecchio had to get stitches around one of his eyes and the other is swelled shut.

Philly has the worst fans in America...they boo injured players from the other team when they're carted off the ice in NHL games.

I always make sure I don't wear any Cowboys gear when I go into Philly. I've been fine in Lakers gear though. I think Sixers fans have given up on life.

Damn you qualified it with America, because seriously compared to soccer fan injuries and deaths bodycount and behavior (just in Europe), it seems like nothing and I have no clue why it was/is that bad in Europe.

Edit : this is being said by someone who loves soccer.

Why would you wear a lakers jersey to a baseball, football, hockey or major league soccer game?

I said America because I'm aware of soccer hooliganism. =)

has anyone been put in a coma, killed or paralyzed from beatings at a Philadelphia sports event?

Stabbed?

have refs had to run off the field in a shower of beer bottles being thrown at them? (ok, batteries at a player, i'll give you that one)

this shit happens in all cities, if you think it happens just in philly or worse in philly you're as much a clown as the 2 idiots on this video are.

No, but here's a stabbing that happened after a sporting event, in Philly.

Here's a deadly brawl that started in the Philly stadium and a guy ended up dying on stadium grounds:

Here's more (source: http://blogs.arcadia.edu/thecompass...rely-to-blame-for-their-appalling-behavior/):

The fans of the Philadelphia Phillies ranked number one on GQ’s list of worst sports fans in the country and there is certainly no wondering why (Winer). In the last few years, fans have committed some horrific acts. I will provide a sampling here of some of the most unfortunate, but this is in no way a comprehensive list. Beginning with the most recent event, in April of 2010, Captain Vangelo of the Easton police department attended a Phillies game with his sixteen and eleven year old daughters. They were seated near two groups of unruly, drunk young men. The men yelled vulgar and obscene comments, threw beer and water at the Captain and his daughters and even spit on them. Vangelo reported the fans to an usher and the first group was ejected from the game. After this occurred, a man from the second group of fans, Matthew Clemmens, 21 years of age, “positioned himself behind the 11-year-old’s chair, stuck his fingers down his throat and vomited on the girl and her father” (Lattanzio). After Vangelo pushed Clemmens away from his daughter, Vangelo began hitting the off-duty officer in the head with such force that it caused his ear to bleed. Clemmens was arrested and faced several charges including Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Harassment and Resisting Arrest (Lattanzio).
