It sounds dumb, but when you fly your colours on someone else's turf, if you think you're safe, you're really taking a wager against everyone (wearing the home kit) being sane and/or sober. If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough, etc.

No a team going from near bandwagon to two players selling tons of TWO players jerseys = bandwagon. You apparently have no fucking clue. With Crosby forgetting how to tie his skates it's only a matter of time before the league is talking about moving you guys to Kansas City again.
 
I went to that game, full Rangers clothes blaring, and no problems. It was a fucking great experience to the last second of the game. These people do not reflect what I saw of fans that day. Every city has criminals that happen to be fans of the team and that is all this is.

That being said, fuck Philly, and your new Yankee-fan-like attitude.

Penguins never dropped below 14,500 fans per game average other than one season when things hit rock bottom. Even when they were in the basement they were getting close to 15,000 if not 15,000 per game. Not bad especially for an American based team.

15k. Wow impressive. Flyers were dead last in the league and were hitting over 17. Pathetic. If you had a real fanbase your team wouldn't have had those problems and would have had the bankroll to put together a decent team.

Philadelphia's metro area is double the population of Pittsburgh's and their building holds 2,500 more than Mellon Arena did. Pittsburgh couldn't average more fans per game even if they wanted to due to smaller capacity in Consol

I did not know my GAF posts represented how much I watch each sport. I hope you realize that in football teams usually play once per week which means I'm not watching football during the rest of the week. I rarely post on GAF when the Pens or Steelers are playing so you won't catch me in either thread no matter what. I do post in other non GAF sports forums.
 
Well I'm done for the night. I have had fun discussing whatever we were discussing in this thread. I'm sure everyone will welcome me with open arms once I start posting in the NHL OT more.

Surprised that no one has mentioned that the Eagles have a courthouse. I'm sure it's just for decorative purposes though.
