I think one of the most glaring things is how poor a lot of the choreography and fight scenes are. There are dudes literally throwing their arms out for no reason except to let someone grab onto them. Like its not even an attack its just a dude sticking his arm out a second before it needs to be grabbed. This kind of stuff happens a lot and I realize this is incredibly common but they don't even hide it with camera angles, editing or the like which is even funnier as a lot of the fight scenes are over edited in general.

I hated JJ but at least I could admit it was generally well received. Iron Fist seems on a whole different level. It's probably going to go down as a universal embarrassment.

Maybe if the Iron Fist was a female Asian lead, more people would be happy.
Sure the fighting is sub-par compared to Daredevil but wow, the drama just doesn't stop with some crowds.

I love Jessica Jones and the first half of Luke Cage. The second half was an awful step down. And the fact of what made it bad is likely to be back in Defenders and/or Cage s2 is not something I look forward to.

There were several times where I wished Colleen was the star, or that she'd get her own spinoff. The writing kind of crapped on her character later on, but I still like her a lot compared to everyone else in the cast that's new to the MCU.
Yea, like whatever people think of the other shows, they had good things about them. This show... if it gets a season 2, they need to rework basically everything. Or just do a Heroes for Hire thing with Luke.

Yep this each had their own unique personality that held up despite some questionable dialogue and plot through some of them. I made it through the first half of Season 1 Of Arrow/Gotham and Arrow season 3 so IF is defiantly better then them..but thats not saying much its watchable I had fun with it but its disappointing, It could have been alot better and now im hoping it doesn't drag down Defenders.

That was especially bad cause this Kung Fu master got his ass handed to him by a rando arson thug. He nearly lost that fight lmao The guy wasn't even named.

No because then you'd lose the show's only saving grace. My main enjoyment in the first few episodes has come from Danny being a creep or randomly segueing into philosophy and everyone being not okay with it.
How could they bungle the fights? It's a goddamn show about a mystical martial artist!!! If there was one thing they had to get right, it is the fights. A lot could be forgiven if the fight choreography was good, but it sounds like it is not even at Daredevil level, and that should be the bare minimum you should expect from this type of show.

Maybe? Heroes Reborn was hatewatch quality. Iron Fist is nondescript bland bad. You get more joy staring at a wall for 50 minutes as you would an episode of Iron Fist.

Daredevil has had it's acting and glaring pacing problems too. but it makes up for it with the bad guys (Kingpin and Punisher) charisma and the action at least.
never gonna be able to rewatch daredevil tho, as much as I enjoyed it you could tell it was already wearing out its welcome as you progress through either season.

It does fall apart in sections for me. Its still good as a whole but it honestly suffers a lot of the same issues as JJ and Luke Cage they just aren't as glaring.
The villains are what makes the shows.
Only problem with Fist is the villains are kinda there and rarely do anything of note.

Danny would get his shit wrecked even with his iron fist powers. Oliver in season 1 was no joke.
No lies detected. Colleen in spandex and yoga pants pretty much all the time is just...got damn. I should say I actually liked Felicity until season 2, but in the later seasons they completely tanked her character.

That's another thing. The other shows all had memorable villains. Kingpin. Kilgrave. Cottonmouth. Even Diamondback managed to be more memorable than what went down in Iron Fist despite him being a clown.
I couldn't get past the 1st episode shortly after seeing Danny jump up the side of a building and then over a car.

Came into it with low expectations and its not extremely bad.. I do like it better than Jessica Jones, which annoyed the living crap out of me.. that's personal preference. Its definitely slow paced and Nothing compared too DD.
I'd put it right below Luke Cage and way above Jessica crap.
