WandaVision |OT| Wanda's Mental Multiverse Breakdown

I'm assuming we'll see more of the outside world since the barrier has been broken narratively. You can't do that fine scene in episode 3 and then not show what SWORD are doing. Maybe more glitches and more things that Wanda can't control.

This show has me fully hoped, every episode ending makes me want more.

Performances are cool, though I was kind of surprised at the masturbation joke. But honestly, it kind of feels like with a lot of the references they're tapping hard into the obscure characters no one save the biggest of nerds knows anything about.

Awesome episode. Quite the plot dump, but it was very cool...
seeing more of the world right when the comeback blip happened and afterwards. Oh! And best girl Darcy, she’s a charm.

My wife is enjoying WandaVision, but hasn’t seen Cpt Marvel, Infinite War or Endgame. I’m not sure if the latest episode is going to make any sense to her.

I love this show but I hope its a bit more mysterious than I think now.

This whole charade seems to be Wanda's doing. She wants to maintain a happy life with the actually destroyed Vision.

It makes sense after the MCU events and her grief (this is clearly post Endgame) but I hoped for some Hydra fuckery.

TBH I thought the twist was kind of obvious from the off. With that said I enjoyed the episode. But it wasn't exactly a revelation.

I'm sure there will be more curve balls as we go along. I really liked how Darcy and Jimmy were played as straight characters instead of comedy relief.

Did anyone else get scared by dead Vision?
It was great seeing people unsnap at the start of the episode, was not expecting to see that.
Glad to see that SWORD is space related and cool that Monica's mum started it.

*EDIT*
PLEASE don't start putting plot leaks in here. I don't want people mentioning things without spoiler tags and ruining things.
:(

Later episodes are leaking. There's a pic of out there.
I wish I didn’t blindly click spoiler tags, it’s a bad habit.

I watched all 4 episodes this evening and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve never seen Liz Olsen in anything else and she looks so different until she gets pissed off. She does the whole classic expressive acting thing well.

I liked how the initial advert was Stark to warm you up, then the next two were Hydra. Big clue there.

House of m seems to be an inspiration for this.

Yeah part of me is bummed we didnt get another weird sitcom ep but this was a good time to pull back and provide some context, still really digging this show a lot more than I thought I would.

Wooh Episode 4 went pretty damn dark there. I'm loving this.

Is she seriously keeping around the corpse of vision and animating it. WTFFFFFFFFF

That was a good episode, now we are fully engaged.
Sweet Jesus I really didn’t expect that. Man this was just marvel magic. Now I actually want to watch the first few again for Easter eggs: this could be the best Marvel film ever if they keep this up with the story.

I’m actually enjoying this format better than some of the films they produced, personally.
Me too I loved the mandalorian for that very reason: films have to be safe because they’re expensive to produce and a shit ton of people need to get paid and bonuses are based on weekend box office etc: I love that we’re getting great production value and a really experimental story here. Comics are episodic by nature anyway and Star Wars was based on 20 minute classic movie serials.

That makes perfect sense as to why I feel this format works for the stories they are trying to tell. I didn’t think of that until you just mentioned it.

It's definitely one of the most fucked up things Marvel has done so far. I really wasn't expecting that and you are 100% correct. This couldn't happen in a Movie format.

Should have kept the sitcom mystery format going longer. Dead ass had to check if I pressed the PS4 controller to go onto Agents of SHIELD by accident. The snap part was cool at the start but the rest felt like some Joss Wheedon shit. Lame.

The normies who had no patience are getting what they wanted from spoon feeding though, the crazy shit that needed build up.

Well I wouldn't count it out fully just yet. I have a feeling they'll be heading into the 80's and 90's in the next few episodes.

Wandavision raises some real questions about post-snap returnees. I wonder how many people died after they got snapped back in Endgame ("The Blip" is a terrible name for an event that halved the population and no doubt killed millions as a side-effect).

Dunno why people are saying "The blip", thought is was 'the snap'?

Still haven't watched yet, waiting to see what people think. Scarlet Witch and Vision I always thought were great, from what some people are saying though it seems like I can wait. I don't care about spoilers for something like this, so pretty easy for me.

That episode was great. It feels like we're back in the MCU now but in a very dark way. It also served as a reminder that Wanda was deeply traumatized as a child, then by Ultron, and finally by Thanos - so of course shit ain't right with her. She's a young woman of immense power who lived nothing but sadness despite a very brief respite of happiness with Vision.

Looking forward to next week's episode. I saw

Brie Larson is back in full-tilt superhero movie physical training mode so I have to wonder if she won't be making some kind of cameo here before this is over

I'm surprised we got to see this here considering the movie glossed over people coming back in a "it's done" kind of way, so it was nice to see a person come back and the chaos that surrounded it.

The director of SWORD giving off some Obidiah vibes, when he's talking to Monica while giving the tour they already seem at odds with the direction of the organization since her mother died. It could be that AIM will be the new Hydra in the MCU, this could be their introduction.

I'm druuuuuunk but this show is so damn good. I told my friends to resub to Disney+ for this show. Hopefully they will and give it a shot.

Why is Rambeau already know as "Photon" before she has powers? I still think the blip is going to be the cause of the emergence of mutants. Either that or the consequences of this show.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home they establish that the popular culture refers to the event as "The Blip"

If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend going back and watching it (not on Disney+ though, it's on STARZ), it's a pretty good movie that goes into more detail about what "The Blip" was like for civilians, and as mentioned before in this thread there are rumors that
The end of WandaVision will bleed directly into the new Spider-Man 3

Ahh ok, missed that. Did indeed watch it. Great film, enjoyed it.

Maybe the 'snap' was an internet thing, just always what I thought it was.
