Don't sign up until you get a referral link, kind of defeats the purpose...

5) Bort

As of right now, only Boogie has signed up (but not yet completed an offer).

Since the iPod needs 5 referrals and the flat screen needs 8, I'm not sure how we'll work this out, but we'll figure it out. After those 5 people sign up and complete their offers, we'll keep going down the line. I'll update this post as people complete their offers so everyone can keep track of the progress.

wait i was already signed up beforehand and already completed one offer, does that throw things off?
 
Mason if I may suggest...

You should write up some instructions on how to do this...so you avoid all the questions and it streamlines it for everyone.

Something like...

1. Get referral link and sign up for the freebie
2. Complete the required info
3. Get names of people that are next on the list from Mason and put them as your referrals
4. Wait for your free stuff.

not yet but this is the third offer i've completed and the first two said i completed it after awhile and won't let me do it again

the whole thing is to refer other people, and work off their referrals

Since you are under Mason, for the thing to work, you would have to sign up under Mason's referral link and THEN sign up for the offer.

Without referrals, this thing is useless.

Well he would just have to be taken off the list or sign up under another address/email etc

He could still complete his offer by using friends or other people with him at the top.

As long as everyone else understands that you DON'T SIGN UP without a referral...then we're cool :)
 
erm, i want to participate, but...do i have to have a credit card or anything like that? can i cancel whatever offer i sign up for?

Yes.

Nobody sign up before you get a PM with a link in it. Do not sign up.
 
Oh and can we please please get like an edit of the first post in this thread or something, with really clear instructions on what to do?

Wow, between people PMing me instead of posting their participation request in the thread, signing up when they're not supposed to, and editing their earlier posts to get ahead in line, this is going downhill FAST. Everyone just sit tight until I figure out how to get this organized fairly and write some instructions.

Just from here on out no one sign up. I'll see if I can make some sense of all of this. and figure out a way for this to work for everyone. THe easiest way is to use ebay which requires an email address from a pay ISP. so keep that in mind

If you already signed up weeks ago, you can't participate in this. You have to sign up with someone's referral link. The only way you can participate is by creating a new account (change something in your address from Street to St. or something like that) and get in line again.

And please everyone sit tight and DO NOT PM robochimp until I get sorted out what I have, then I'll turn it over to him if he wants to spearhead this.

Sorry if this was already mentioned, and I don't feel like resarching this info becauseI'm lazy and all, but what kind of things do you have to complete to get the free Ipod? Do you have to sign up for something with your credit card and cancel before they bill you or something?

One of the offers is a new ebay account and bidding on something. There are AOL trials and other such things that require a credit card, but you can cancel.

Just want to repeat this since the last time I said it is on the previous page:

Do not do anything until you get a PM telling you to.

pretty much, other than the ebay option, which only requires you to place a bid on something
 
Does the Ebay option only work if you have a new account, or can you use an account that you already have and bid on something? That sounds pretty safe to me but I don't want to make a new account since I'd need a new credit card I think

It says you need a new account. You don't need a credit card if you have a non-free email address.

You have to sign up for a new account, but you don't need a credit card. You just need an email address that isn't from a free site (yahoo, hotmail, etc).
 
Can I do this tommorrow morning? I'm about to go out, and unless I get a PM before 11, then I can do all this.


P.S. So choosing the ebay one would be the best solution?

EDIT : Nevermind, I just bid on some pottery my wife wants.
