I don't get the hate for Killzone by some people. I enjoyed all the Killzone games (minus the first, since I haven't played it and tried it via PS Now, it hasn't aged well.) I think Killzone 2 was my favorite though. Specially the multiplayer.

Not really a fair comparison but I'm sure GG wouldn't have taken as long to make Halo Infinite.

To be fair, Halo is running at four times the resolution of KZ.

Is it worth the compromise? I guess that's up to personal preference.

Stop! Alexbox Battaglia has taken enough beating.

Well, it's a way to help some look at the differences with their own eyes, Alex is too tired to point them out.

Well, it should be the other way around, but I think Halo fans should make their voices heard by 343i and MS.

You don't have to go as far Halo 5 would suffice.

This forum making me miss not existing next-gen Killzone even more.

Indeed, but it's running on a more than 5 times more powerful system, such things and more should scale and be much better on Halo going to next gen.

I would really love a new Killzone, but I would love it if they don't rush it. I think they already have 2 teams, so we shouldn't be surprised if it's announced for like 2022-2023.

I just want to know that it exists and if it's not open-world. That's all

Posting King Trash content shouldn't be allowed lmao.

He's a funny guy, lots of swearing, but if you focus on the content he really knows how to break things down while only using his PS4 (Share factory) to make his videos. An honest low budget analysis is always better than fancy dishonest one.

You really think he's honest or objective?

I would love it if it has something to do in space. Open-world? Could be good, but semi-open world would keep it tight and more engaging.
It's going to be another Wildlands and I don't want that. I want linear shooter, to blow shits up with great setpieces. More Michale Bay shit the better (with that serious Killzone coat). Shadowfall was flashy and amazing.

Destiny is an open-world-ish shooter done right, I think such design would be great.

There's no wonder developers choose 30fps over 60fps or more as this and drive club that are a blurry mess when playing them get a lot of love from particular fanatics whilst the 60fps games get hate.

All this whilst many in here claim higher fps is king.

Here, 1080@60fps MP:

60fps doesn't mean you need to fall a generation back.

The defense of Halo Infinite is pretty funny. Im sure it will be a good game in the end but this was an embarrassing showing for lots of reasons. I mean, I get that we are getting to the point of diminishing returns on power but to look at Infinite in the state its in and push it out there to be the killer app for the new uber powerful Xbox when it doesnt even look as good as the last Halo game is just...something.

Terrible video with a lot of factual errors (PS4 is closer to 2TF than 1TF, KZSF SP is 30fps rather than 60, etc), and Halo overall does look better. But it should look MUCH better, and it doesn't. KZSF is much more impressive for the hardware it's running on. And he's right about the lack of life in Halo. Everything feels very static and sterile.

I watched the gameplay reveal live and it didn't look that bad because I think it was streaming between 480 and 720p. Going back and looking at the higher quality videos is pretty painful.

In some ways the comparison here is a little unfair but it makes the point. Thankfully inifinite got delayed. I was expecting it to release at launch in terrible shape like MCC while they spent the next year fixing it. Pretty telling that MS was willing to push this game back. My guess is the game is in worse shape than we think.

The only way Halo looks better is in framerate and resolution. The average gamer doesn't really care much about that. The better comparison IMO would be horizon since it's an open world game with similar aspects.

That game is amazing, besides all its problems, especially as a launch title which is one of the reasons I bought a PS4.

The fact that the PS5 launches with no decent first-party cinematic FPS, which would have been a great demonstration of it's capabilities and the dualsense, is another thing beyond me. I'm not impressed with Horizon 2 which is way too early after the first one, looks the same, and third-person open environments games as great as they are, are starting to bore and annoy me on Playstation.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing, they still look impressive even this late.

Come on, mate. That's not representative of what the XSX can do. At all.

It means it's not running on Xbox Series X, but a PC "representative of Xbox Series X" as MS call it.

People barely cared about Killzone on launch day and now we're going to put it on a pedestal for something as stupid as this?

I'm sure Halo would look fantastic if it was 900p 20-30 fps game with 1 second input lag.

But it's a real videogame instead.

It is what MS has shown as their premier example of XSX gameplay though. But yes, of course it can do much better. MS 1st party is just not very impressive (although I'm sure Forza will look great).

So I came across this hilarious comparison between Halo Craig's Infinite Vs Killzone Shadowfall by KingThrash (discovered this dude when someone here in GAF had shared his older video). Some of the world detail and animations are so good even to this day. It's crazy how GG managed to pull this off so early in the PS4 life cycle, it was a launch title. The level design and navigation and combat encounters were weak, but the visuals were something else.

Oops, sorry, you made the thread first. Thanks for the mods for merging both threads.

Funny how Ryse: Son of Rome is ignored.

Where was everyone when it was PS4 vs Xbox One and Ryse looked better than anything launching on the PS4? Where was the "IT looks more powerful on paper, but the games don't show it" Rhetoric?
