Yeah, that would be about the only saving grace at this point. I'll read the reviews of course, and pay attention mostly to the ones here on GAF, but I definitely won't be there day one.
 
I got a good deal on it, so I'm still gonna buy it. Pretty sad that there's so much negativity surrounding it, but it'll have to be really bad for me to not enjoy it.
 
Still looking forward to it. I'll be picking up the Wii U version if it's not garbage. Otherwise I'll switch over and get the PC version for less than 8 bucks.

GTA V was a definite looker (lots of time, the biggest budget in gaming, and being the genre leader will tend to do that) but merely on par? This certainly looks better visually (art style and animation nonwithstanding) boasting graphical effects here and there that I wouldn't expect to see on PS3 or 360 and I don't understand how people don't see that.

Maybe it doesn't look like the sort of improvement people would expect going into a new generation but it's still early in the gen and this is the first title in a new franchise on new systems. I'm kinda concerned about the pop-in I'm noticing in this video here though

I'm sure there will be plenty of people streaming it on the PS4. I'll watch some game play there. I have no intention of getting it at launch.

I'm interested in a game depiction of Chicago too, but the bolded is what has me most interested. Adding in online functionality is like the cure for tailing missions.

Games can't recognize you looking natural. You're not nursing a "suspicion meter," waiting for them to inevitably look behind them every X number of seconds and "losing them" when you can still them.

Here though, you're just actually following someone. If you're running around like crazy or you drive suspiciously, then you might get spotted if the person gets suspicious.

I just chromecasted that to my TV in 1080p and it looks significantly better than GTA V. Don't get me wrong, I loved GTA V, but calling this on par is sorta silly.
 
My laptop is very weak (and ubisoft pc ports suck, especially now seeing how they could only manage 900p on ps4).

So I have to get this on PS3, or wait until January (new laptop). I cant wait that long (dying to play this!), so PS3 it is.
Do you guys think the graphics will be really bad??? Much worse than GTA V and Black Flag ps3 versions??? Maybe 640p resolution or even less?
 
Got this baby on pre-order. Hope it's great and meets expectations. Certainly has the potential, but could very well go either way.

After Season 3's finale, I can't wait for Watch Dogs.

Hell I hope Ubisoft has taken from Person of Interest. After all it's written by the best Nolan.
 
Definitely waiting to see how everything turns out before I go in on this game. I just don't trust ubisofts track record.

If it comes out like that, but with stable 30 fps, then Im okay with it. Its FAR from the 1st footage, but its also a lot better then GTA V to be honest.

But I really dont know what to expect anymore. I will just wait the reviews, and some gaffers impressions and gifs, before deciding if Im gonna buy it or not.
 
Screw the hate! I'm looking forward to playing this on my PS4. I don't think I'll be disappointed one bit.

I don't care about 30fps for a third person action game. Do I wish it was 1080p instead of 900p? Yes. However, when I'm into the game I don't think I'll give two craps.
