I bought a supporter pack for POE2, does that count?
My wife bought a ton of cashmere clothing.
I couldn't find anything I need. I tried.
Maybe this is why people have kids, so they have something to spend money on. Luxuries don't really interest me and my hobbies are very inexpensive (especially since the major costs have already been taken care of, eg. guitar, PC, etc).
If it's one thing I'd ask is for better physical and mental health, but some of that money really can't buy unfortunately.

I don't get much for Christmas, but the kids had a good haul. The highlight apparently being the 10 year old's mini fridge for her room.

I've asked a few times why? I don't understand. Just glad she's happy with it hah
GigaBowser GigaBowser knows why...

I got a copy of Dragons Dogma 2, a Black and Decker portable vacuum, some nice wine glasses, and my wife got me some measuring tape and a DeWalt cordless drill, and a level. I guess someone wants me to do some work around the house 😂.

I just like seeing my little girl happy on Christmas though.

Watched the first episode of Frieren after I saw some people hyping it up. Was the most boring thing imaginable, felt slow and the characters weren't interesting at that point in time at least (except for maybe the lead character). Everyone just felt really dry and not in a interesting sort of way like Ghost in the shell 1995 or 2001 Space Odyssey.

I don't ever have this problem with anime except with .hack when I was a kid but that was different because I didn't get to tune in to the 1st episode just random ones that aired.
It's definitely slower, slice of life type anime. But when you get to the action, it is actually better than most battle anime.

My brother got me a pair of adjustable dumbells, I got home alone and Friday the 13th part 2 4k Blu rays from my sister, and my mom got me another Dreamcast. Pretty much a total win.

My family was gifted a Meta Quest 3. I’ll buy RE4VR at some point. It came with Batman.

I got a portable monitor. It says I can hook my console to it. That’s neat.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
Got a workbench, new stainless steel pots and pans, a Canadian game called crokinole, and a bunch of other random stuff. Great haul for sure.

Heis, why aren’t you posting pics? Sounds pretty dope. (Though I guess not all of us are American lol)

LTD EC-407 - I picked up a lightly used one on Reverb.

I haven't owned a 7 string in 20+ years. I started slowly getting back into guitar and bass this year and I've had an itch to play a bunch of lower tuned stuff. I can't wait to play New Millineum Cyanide Christ when it arrives.

That's awesome, enjoy that. I also got back into learning guitar this year too after a 15 year lapse, got myself a cobalt EC-256FM and I love it. Makes me feel better about playing despite me being complete shit.

For me nothing this year.

My son had to have heart surgery so we blessed this kids but skipped out for me and the wife. It’s ok though. I am very blessed with my family. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas. 🙏🏼

PS. My son is doing great. His heart issue was completely fixed and will never be a problem again. 🙌

Very nice, enjoy it

I grew up in a very musical family especially singing and playing music in church and my parents put a guitar in my hands when I was super young and never stopped playing going on close to 50 years or so now.

$50 PSN card and a headset cover for PSVR2.

I got my wife a Genesis Mini and promptly gave it the Hakchi treatment so I could put QuackShot and Road Rash on that bitch. Awesome little device.

I bought my brother Space Marine II, and I bought a friend Nier: Automata.

Santa brought me a Retroid Pocket 5 handheld emulation system. I've been playing around with it all day, it's such a lovely device! I installed the Beacon launcher and have also set it up with a few games from the Play Store.

Screen is so bright... it threw off the white balance in this photo. It really is a sight to behold.
I keep wanting to buy one of these portable emulators but there are so many that I can never decide.

I was looking at these as well but I think I’m just gonna bite in a cheap ROG Ally. I found one for like $380 after tax and while it’s $160 more then the Retroid it’s definitely more useful overall and any new handhelds at CES are gonna be nearly double price wise.

My wife and sons got me the Atari 2600+ with Berzerk and Food Fight(the Atari 2600+ also plays 7800 games).

Godzilla Minus One on 4k blu-ray.

The Atari is freaking awesome. A lot smaller than the OG one I used to own way back 40+ years ago. The
switches have almost that same "tension" when you use them to power on or reset the games.

It feels extremely well built. A nice weight to it, although again, not as heavy as the OG "Heavy Sixer".

The joystick feels great. Just like a remember it.

Atari really hit the ball out of the park with this system. Also, the fact that it's compatible with the OG cartridges *and*
can play Atari 7800 games(both old and new carts as well).

I just have to remember I actually have to get up out of my seat and walk up to reset the games or change cartridges. Good
exercise for my recent total knee replacement. :messenger_beaming:

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

There are definitely a lot of options out there, and what would work best for you really depends on what you're looking to play on it and your desired form factor. I'm not an expert by any means, but I've owned a few of these, so I think I could chime in.

I personally think the best price / performance entry level handheld out there right now is called the TrimUI Smart Pro. They're about $60 on AliExpress, and can play up to PSP / N64, and even some Dreamcast games. It can even run portmaster, and play games like Balatro, Sonic Mania, and Stardew Valley. I set a few of these up recently and gave them out as Christmas gifts.

If you're looking for something with more power, the Retroid Pocket 5 that I got is hard to beat. It's up in the $250 price range, but can easily play PS2 / Dreamcast / 3DS etc, and it's got the nice OLED screen. It's still pretty portable, only slightly larger than my phone.

If you want even MORE power than that, you've unfortunately gotta step up to something like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally. These devices are significantly larger, and therefore much less portable.

Hope this helps!

If you just want to use it at home, get a cheap Aliexpress strech controller and use your smartphone. Much cheaper and even older smartphones are way more powerful, have better displays and better battery life than any handheld you can buy <100-150 Euro.

I treated myself to a new PC featuring 9800X3D. Now I will have to see if it is worthwhile upgrading to the 5000 series from my 4080 (based on the leaks, probably not).

Now I probably need to buy a new game to enjoy my system. Maybe Black Myth Wukong.
