I don't disagree. This is basically an exact copy of my do/do not want lists.Nostalgic Nightmare said:Regardless of art, I think that Terada's vision parallels what I want out of a Zelda game.
- Dark overall tone
- Very difficult fights that leave you sweating all over the controller
- Exploration of a vast overworld to find dungeons
- A serious adult link against near impossible odds every encounter
What I don't want to see in the upcoming console version(s)
- Young Link
- Enemies that act like cartoon characters
- Linear dungeon approach
- One gimmick to hinge the whole game off of
- Developing relationships with NPCs or doing any subquests for them. Or at least keep them optional.
I suppose many will disagree with me and that's fine. We all have our favorite version for various reasons. I just want the game to be very basic and focus on exploration, even in dungeons with no linearity. If i walk into a dungeon I happen to find, perhaps I might just get wrecked because the enemies are so tough I want to run out as fast as possible. I'll make a note of it and return later. Give me the option to mark my map where I found it and I'll return.
^5!
(I'm gonna go ahead and preemptively clarify that "dark overall tone", at least for me, does not mean "matoor story lolz!" because I know a lot of people probably think they're synonymous.)
