Insider Info guys!

* You can play between female and male Links!
* Epona is a dragon!
* Ganondorf's father is the villain. He's white haired and uses a Masamune for attacks.
* Havok and Speedtree tech
* Zelda is not a Princess this time but a bum.
* Open ended gameplay (think medieval GTA!)
* Blood and sex.
* Link is voiced by David Hayter.

There!
Finally, deep and mature.

That's 2 1/2 hours of content for a 2 hour conference.

Though I really don't think they've ever gone that overboard with sales talk.

I imagine the big focus for Wii will be Wii Party, whatever Vitality Sensor comes with, Goldeneye (if rumors are true) and Epic Mickey. New trailer and short gameplay of Metroid: Other M.

Lots of focus on DS/3DS

MAGIC! :lol

But really, I wasn't even thinking. Okay, here's my speculated schedule REVISED!

*45 minutes 3DS (including games)
*35 minutes of non-3DS games (Zelda included)
*25 minutes other (Vitality sensor, etc.)
*15 minutes sales talk

So maybe a short demonstration. I'm not expecting too much though. Then again, they did demonstrate TP and MP3 (didn't they?). I don't know, I think I'm just rambling now.

No way they'd only spend 15 minutes on sales/"momentum" talk.
That has to be 30 at least.

Also, I doubt they need 45 minutes for 3DS. I don't even think they gave the Wii that much stage time in 2006.

Zelda Wii's official title is "The Legend of Zelda". There will be no subtitle.

I´d love that, but I don´t see it coming true.

The game tells a story several hundred years before Ocarina of Time.It also answers the question of how the Mastersword came into being.

That´s what the WHOLE Zelda-community said a day after the artwork was released last year.

The fairy-like girl plays is a very important character in the game. Her Name is Zordiana.

First part is what Miyamoto himself said. Name is name, lulz.

The Hookshot is also in the game and it has new abilities. It will not pull you immediately to the target you aimed. Now it is possible to swing with the Hookshot, like with the Grappling Hook from WW. The Hookshot makes no use of Wii Motion Plus.

One "detailed" piece of information to make it sound as if they really knew something.

Sometimes you have to "draw" a specific symbol on a door with your sword, to open it.

Either you slice a symbol into a door or you dont. But you dont "draw" with your sword.

The Bow-Control is very similar to the Bow-Control in Wii Sports Resort, as the script shows.

What Miyamoto said.

There are two levels of difficulty. Aonuma put it through. Miyamoto didn't want to include it.The Normal-Mode for amateurs. The Hero-Mode has no "Super Guide" included and the enemies tougher.

Sounds like they read neogaf.

The On-Stage Dungeon, which is also playable at E3, isn't a Dungeon as we know it from the Zelda series. When entering a Dungeon, you will not notice you are in one. It will be a smooth gradation. There will be Dungeons with no Bosses and Bosses with no Dungeon. The "Dungeon" you are able to play at E3 will be an Ice-Level. It will be the frist "Dungeon" in the Game.

Except for the ice-part, that´s also just what Miyamoto and Aonuma said for the whole last year.

Okay, revision part deux.

I would do 30 for each, but I honestly can't see them spending the same amount of time on sales as they did for 3DS. Also, regarding E3 2006, wasn't that a 1 hour conference? Even then, they must have devoted most of the time to Wii if you include games (which I did for 3DS).

ANYWAYS, I honestly think that the roundtable will be focused on Zelda Wii. 3DS is possible but I don't remember them ever devoting the roundtable to hardware.

I really just hope we can see Aonuma on stage at E3. Him being dressed up as Link would be cool but I honestly wonder how many "experts" would recognize him. Maybe make an appearance this time, make a blunder so people will remember you, then appear next time you reveal Zelda Wii2 as Link.

Not gonna lie, would probably play it.

let's just go through fanfiction.net and start some "leaks" and "rumors"

The war against Ganon just got personal. If our heroes ever want to break their curse, they must first satisfy their thirst for revenge, and they have all the time in the world to do so.
The tale of a Zora rogue being hunted down by everyone and their mother in Hyrule.
One day, a bright and happy 13 year old girl who loves the The Legend of Zelda gets hit by a bolt of lightning. She wakes up in Hyrule, and finds out that she is stuck there till "The Helen's Lamb" comes and takes her away.
This is the prequel of the Ocarina of Time, and OoT is the prequel to Four Swords, Anjin is a Hylian with a talent to control fire, she is under Ganondorf's command, but that was until she catches a young girl and a teenage boy intruding Gerudo Fort.
When Zelda is abducted and taken to our world today, Link must travel across time to save her. Zelink, with some hints of LinkxIlia, but only in the very, very beginning. after twilight princess. R&R!

...there are 15,500 of these

how do people write this shit

Link is in bad shape after fighting the terrible Barinade and tries his best to reach Lon Lon Ranch before his own end. What will happen? LinkxMalon LxM Link x Malon MaLink Rated M for later chapters.
Link's sexual relationship with Zelda must always stay secret, due to his common blood. But the boredom in the bedroom gets to him, until he encounters a rain-soaked Malon with her shirt off. Lots of sex and dirt.

stop talking about the fanfiction
this is a zelda speculation thread, literally every post about what you hope and expect is a seed that will blossom into shitty fanfiction one day

and according to what i've seen, it'll be about a teen girl getting sucked into her TV, where she watches sheik (who is a boy, because apparently none of these people played OoT) and Dark Link (who is a REAL CHARACTER!!!) make out all day

Here's my checklist for what I want from Zelda Wii Demo
10% means Nintendo succeeded

- The demonstrator loses half or more his health

- No lamps are lit

- Commentator outright references Wii Sports Resort multiple times

- "This will live up to everyone's imaginations"

- It's the first thing at the conference

- 2 minutes of jokes from the duo Trinen and The Regginator

- "We've changed the formula" 4+ times

Im going to go out there and guess you merge with the god of courage (forgot his name) at some point in this game. Epic battles will ensue.
Her name is Farore, if memory serves me right. Din Nayru and Farore, Power Wisdom and Courage, respectively.

Okay, after my bitch a few pages back about how Twilight Princess has a horrible intro.. i'm now enjoying it much more. I just finished the Midna introduction in the twilight realm, which I thought that was really neat - great atmosphere, almost reminiscent of Silent Hill's otherworld. It makes me yearn for a more adult-orientated Zelda game moreso. Anyway, thankfully the game seems to be picking up now, so i'm hoping it can reach the same highs that I felt Wind Waker reached.

I know this info is probably fake, but this is exactly what I've wanted for the series since a few games back. I'm just a bit tired of the very rigid field -> dungeon -> field structure with dungeons acting as separate "levels" from the rest of the world. I would greatly prefer something like what this likely-fake info is suggesting.

Just entered a forest? Well, maybe that forest could in fact be a "dungeon" itself, instead of containing the obvious forest temple. Or maybe you come across some ruins out in the open in the forest, and that's where you'll have to solve a bunch of puzzles and stuff. No entering another "level" to do your puzzling and fighting.
Death Mountain could be a sort of dungeon as well. Maybe you fight/puzzle your way to the summit, and up there you fight some dragon or whatever. No actual dungeon.

So yeah, I really want Nintendo to move away from the "X number of discrete dungeons with a field and some towns in between" design pattern. Make it more dynamic and less obvious what is a dungeon and what isn't.

On my experience, Zelda games are always better on your second playthrough.

CRAZY THEORY TIME.

Link.....is gerudo. As a prince he was set to marry zelda only something goes wrong in hyrule. Maybe a coup. A respected fortune teller has a prophecy of a gerudo king ravaging the kingdom. he is kidnapped and almost killed, but set free by zelda herself. Some evil force is behind it all.

There is chaos and war after this between the tribes. Link is tasked with finding some sorce of power to make it all right again using the girl sword thing that zelda gave him, the heart of Hyrule kingdoms power.

It all ends with him putting the completed sword in the temple of time after learning the prophecy is true only hundreds of years early and that a future hero of time will one day arise to stop him.

Actually, playing as the only male Gerudo would be a pretty cool story.

Seeing how Zelda doesnt need any elaborate story where your family background plays an important role, it´s completely unnecessary. Wait...was it you who said that cinematic story-telling will make video games "mature"?

I'm curious to see how Nintendo blends the dungeon into the overworld. Will it be like Metroid Prime? That's what I'm hoping for since you never really knew when to expect a new power up or a boss battle. It was also more immersive to just go deeper into an area without having the feeling that once you "beat" it, you will never return.

Rumors are going to be out of control for the next couple days! So exciting! Then, we'll all know the truth. Days like these make posting on forums fun! :D

I made fun of the fact that people wanted Link to have his family murdered and he had to become a chain smoking drunk out for revenge.

Still, playing as the only male Gerudo would change the formula, since there would be no Ganon, you probably wouldn't have a fairy guide, and you'd probably actually end up fighting Hyrule Kingdom.

This is why i want those rumors of a Ocarina prequel to be true. I would love if there was no ganon.

Then they could also make a game set after TP, since Ganon dies in TP.

Does he ever really die for real though? He feels like link where each new one is a different kid with the same name.

there´s only 2 Zelda-games where he really dies: Alttp, which doesnt fit into a timeline (at least not without discussion) and TP. You´re right, in other games he only is banished to hell or whatever. That´s why TP is really special on that regard.
