What we know about Legend of Zelda Wii prior to E3 2010

Well, it's still 8 here in Kansas so it's 6 in the morning in California, so it probably won't open for quite a few hours. I'd say it'll open DURING the Nintendo conference (which starts at 9 there) and then Nintendo will open up their exhibit shortly after their conference ends.
so the exib area wasn't open yesterday? IIRC GC in Leipzig was open to the journalists from day one. That is one day prior to the open to public.

thx anyway

For those who want to pass the time (in the US at least), the King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters is going to start playing on G4tv in thirty minutes as a lead in to Nintendo's conference.

Wasn't the last Nintendo conference pretty short?

It's usually about a hour and 15 minutes. I think 2004 was an exception since Twilight Princess(which it came to be) was a rude awakening for us :D

But I guess we're just going to see probably 5 minutes of footage and then it will be playable to certain press. Will be amazing if it a demo of the game will be open to the general public tho

Anyone else here think that MGS: Rising might be a hint at what we'll be seeing with Zelda Wii?

The same exact watermelon slicing example was in Wii Sports Resort, I don't know why everyone went so crazy over it.

unfortunintely, I'm down in Florida for vacation. this the first year I can't watch E3 on G4 (the only thing they are still good for)

Probably just because it was funny and unexpected. I wasn't impressed or anything but laughed when it happened.

Last year conference lasted about hour and a half, right? This year it might be a little longer due to 3DS announcements, but it's definitely going to last under 2 hours.
Just in time for Brazil - NK

Edit: Is there some irc channel this year? I remember we had one a couple of year ago for E3 conference/WWI unveiling of Diablo 3.

I'd just like to share this thought I have about pachter. It's extremely unlikely, but imagine if a Wii (HD,HiFi,Plus, etc) was unveiled today. After saying for so long that there would be a Wii HD, and now admitting he was wrong and guaranteeing that there will be no new Wii right before E3, it would just be hilarious if he was wrong.

I love Pachter - he's a very likable person, but the GIFs that would come from this... :lol

D: I have a 9 hour shift when the conference begins... this'll probably be the longest day of my life. I look forward to good things when I get home tonight, please don't disappoint, Nintendo!

I'm at work, so I feel like if I actually do work for a while time will pass faster, and I will be ever closer to Zelda Wii and 3DS.

You guys think there will be some sort of musical instrument in this one for sure or is it TIME to move on???
I hope not. I think that's one thing that could do with being set aside, at least for a few games. It's started to feel a bit forced in the most recent games. I'm sure some people will disagree with me, though.

I agree with you.

I'm very shocked that:

a) USA Today doesn't have a story regarding the 3DS yet
b) There are no pictures of Nintendo's booth

Dont they usually set that up overnight before the press conference? Should be something by now....

Watching on Spike TV would be liking watching through Gametrailers right? I ask because Geoff Keighley is one of the only games journalists that I actually enjoy. Good attitude on that one.

Yeah. Wasn't it the NYT or something that revealed TP Wii before the conference started?
USA Today revealed both DS and Wii before Nintendo's conference with pics and everything.

Not last year, or the year before that...or the year before that. We've known about Mario Galaxy, something else, and NSMBW before the conference started these past three years, almost a day or two before it even happened.

And no, I don't remember NYT publishing a story about TP, but I DO know that Nintendo loves to go to USA Today for all of their product-related stories BEFORE their conference even begins. DS, Wii, Motion+, etc.

I remember Nintendo releasing the trailer on official Zelda site just after the conference started (E3 2005), so it was available to watch about an hour before it was officially revealed.

Spike isn't showing the Nintendo or Sony conferences per their schedule
