Beat Alan Wake the other day, but I'm still planning to poke around inside the episodes with the LE's commentary track. Really curious about some of that. Otherwise, I anticipate a lot of Red Dead Redemption and some Trauma Team to break things up.

And of course, on Sunday:

Batman: AA and 3d Dot Game Heroes.

Red Dead Redemption. Best R* game since San Andreas (and possibly better).

Definite GOTY contender and I'd argue front-runner. ME2 comes in second.

there is only one goty so far, just like last year

Bayonetta this year, nothing is even close so far

Demon's Souls last year, again nothing was close.

of course i'm biased towards gameplay, and awesome games..

I've played more hours this week than in months. Tons of quality stuff out and Mario Galaxy 2 coming next week.

Red Dead Redemption - About 4 hours in, I really like it, just riding around looking for stuff is fun. It looks amazing, solid controls, good voice acting. Class act all around

Split/Second - Best arcade racer I've played since Burnout Revenge. Amazing looking, good sense of speed, action-packed. If they'd fix multiplayer to allow it to be balanced (i.e., allow for car class limits) it would be even better

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - About 3 hours into this, a true sequel to Sands of Time. It's a little rough around the edges but the platforming is great.

Lost Planet 2 - Just doing an Easy run, finished up a Normal run late last week. Not a huge fan of the competetive multiplayer but the co-op/single level design and tons of weapons makes it fun.

SSF4
Demon's Souls (so close..)
Dragon Age
GTA4 (I swear I will finish it this time)
Doom 3 open co-op
Crusader no regret

Red Dead Redemption (awesome)

My 360 has turned into my Netlix box this weekend. Watched about 34 episodes of Lost this week on it.

My GOTY will most likely be Final Fantasy XIII. I'm playing through the Xbox version, which will be my third play through.

I guess some other considerations would be Mass Effect 2 and perhaps Red Dead. Hopefully today or tomorrow I'll be able to pick up Alan Wake and Red Dead.

The other games I'm playing are God of Rage 3, White Knight Chronicles, and some Battlefield BC2 on the side. I also recently beat Nier which I'm kind of meh on.

Great game and world. So far I spend most of my time just looking for random events, herbs, and killing wildlife :lol

Red Dead Redemption hands down is my GOTY so far, I'm blown away by how big and beautiful is this game and there is so much you can do in it and Marston is a very likable character. I don't think I can finish this before SMG2 comes out :|.

Lunar: Silver Star Harmony for the PSP. My first Lunar! Enjoying it so far. It has a very naive story and the game itself reminds me of Grandia a lot, which I like.

Loving it so far.

Wouldn't go so far as GOTY, but it's really fun.

Don't have amazing GOTY candidates at the moment, but I did love Heavy Rain. Very much looking forward to Alan Wake.

Mass Effect 2 - Been slowly making my way through this. The latest patch greatly speeds up looking for resources which is a very welcome change.

Red Dead Redemption - In the past I've always found flaws in Rockstar open world games that annoyed me to no end, but this game is surprisingly good. Maybe Rockstar San Diego should be the ones developing GTA games... ;-)

Alan Wake - Only played Episode 1 so far, but OMG the atmosphere in this game is off the charts.

Haven't been into much. Still moseying along in Monster Hunter Tri and Strange Journey. Probably going to look at breaking up both of those with some Sakura Wars (not sure how much I really like this one) and a replay or post-game run of TWEWY.

Red Dead Redemption
No More Heroes (LTTP)
FIFA 10 World Cup
Madden 10 (Online Franchise)
Splinter Cell Conviction (Co-Op)

Of course they would change the resource thing a week after I finish my first run... It's ok though because I am doing a second run in a few weeks as renegade.

Red Dead Redemption - I absolutely hated GTA IV, but I am totally absorbed in this game's world. I honestly feel like I'm in the wild west.

Lost Planet 2 - F the haters, this is the most fun I've had with a co-op game in a long time. Gets better each time I play.

Ratchet & Clank: ToD
Etrian Odyssey
Civ IV: Beyond the Sword
Torchlight
Portal

Lotsa stuff :P Having a lot of fun with all of these. Dying to play RDR but probably won't get it for a couple more weeks.

Started a new Civ game for the first time since Civ II at about 11:00 last night...guess what happened. :P

I got about 1/3 of the way through GTA IV before I stopped playing. I can't see that happening in RDR. I live for those random encounters in the wild.

Finished Trauma Team yesterday (sooo good), started Alan Wake. I think I'm too much of a wimp for it, though.

UFC 2010

Surprisingly a Fighting Game of the Year candidate IMO.

Red Dead Redemption

Front-runner for Game of the Year. By a long shot. Seriously, outside of maybe Halo: Reach or Heavy Rain (depending on your preferences) I cant think of anything that is going to provide much competition. Amazing achievement.

Alan Wake

Not a revolution for the medium, but one of the best adventure games I've played in a long time. Love the trade-off between the conversation-heavy days and tension-filled nights.

My top 3 so far would be:
1) Lost Planet 2
2) Bayonetta
3) Mount & Blade Warband
I wouldn't be surprised if those remain on my top 3-4 for the rest of the year.

FFXIII and Strange Journey might make it in my top10, depending on what else impresses me this year.

Lately I've been playing all LP2, all the time.

Lost Planet 2 (360) - Screw the haters, this is a fantastic game. Up to the end of chapter 4 in SP and been playing quite a bit of competitive MP.

Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - About 6 hours in. Great game although I don't think it has lived up to the hype just yet. The tutorial missions were a bit annoying, as are the races. Enjoying it a lot other than that.

Super Street Fighter IV (PS3) - Haven't been playing as much due to the two mentioned above, but enjoying fighting online. Maining Cammy and Adon at the minute.

Waiting on Alan Wake and Trauma Team which should be here early next week, AW possibly tomorrow.

I'm still playing catch-up with my batch of 25 games for my PS3. I wish there was more hours per day. So no time for new releases. :'(

Aw, I meant to post the topic this week. "Split Dead Wake Galaxy of Persia Edition" imo.

I'm about to head out and get Red Dead Redemption, so I will be playing that glorious game like all day if I can.

Persona 4

Going to my parents who only have a Wii so I'm bringing Skies of Arcadia and Metroid Prime with me.

Red Dead Redemption - Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Absolutely fantastic game, easily one of the top choices for GOTY so far. So much to do, this one will keep me busy all summer.

Super Mario Galaxy - Replaying some of it to get pumped for the second. Amazing, if the second is anywhere near as good I'm excited (been on a media blackout so I know absolutely nothing about SMG2 besides, well, it's a sequel to SMG :lol)

3D Dot Game Heroes - Good game. Sure, it may not measure up to the other two I just listed, but a nostalgia laden trip that I've been having a blast with. It's been on the backburner with RDR and SMG/SMG2, but I still play from time to time.

Dead Space - LTTP on this one, but I'm still in love. VERY slowly going through this , I think I'm on Chapter 4 or 5. Amazing atmosphere, I already can't wait for the sequel.

Red Dead Redemption - Got it today and have played a bit. Seems pretty damn awesome. Wasn't a fan of GTAIV so this is a surprise.

Nier - A pretty fun action rpg. Not as big on it as some here but still enjoying it.

Magna Carta 2 - Bargain bin pickup. Surprisingly I've had some good time with it. Nothing amazing but it's fun.

I should have already played through Alan Wake but fucking Gigantti/Giganten hasn't gotten the game for me yet. I preordered from them and the release date was a week ago. They sent me a dispatch note last wednesday.
