Who got the Best PC on GAF?

At my defence I did not put my spec in the topic hahahah

Restart the "Race your PC" threads.
Find a free benchmark we can all download and lets get a single thread we can play in.

They were also a good place to see if your hardware was under performing and finding hidden secrets to get your machines to peak performance.

Mines is by no means high end, but I'm very happy with it atm:

RTX 4070 12gb
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
32GB DDR4 Ram 3600mhz
AOC 144hz 32" Monitor & LG C1 48" hooked up to it.

It plays everything I want it to, how I want it to so see no reason to upgrade anytime soon, however If I manage to find a decent deal for a 4090 I wouldn't say no.

I have a 5090, but the CPU is only a 14900k. The 9800x3D is nice but at 4K the gains are minimal. Think I'll be fine just waiting for Zen 6.

4K or 1440p ?
Does 1440p feels good on a 32" screen or 29" as most say is the sweet spot.
1440p. It's not the worst, but honestly I spend most of my time at 4K on the LG C1. The AOC is a VA panel so image clarity isn't the best, I mainly use it for desktop work and only really run games on the LG.

Nope just had some lines straight up and down through my display

Tried reseating it, different cables even tried on a different monitor, all the same

Crap picture on how they looked on my OLED but had to get fairly close as they were pretty fine lines but they were there

Fuck that sucks, better send it to RMA

Best specs are a small pp thing to focus on. Best PC setup is what matter. Who cares if you have a 5090 if you're sitting on a cardboard box and listening to everything through earbuds you got with your ipod 15 years ago?

My uncle works at Nintendo so I already have an RTX 6090.

Ryzen 7600x, Deepcool AK620 cooler
32GB XPG CL30 6000mhz RAM
Thermaltake Toughpower 850w PSU
Msi B650 Tomahawk Wifi
Asus 9070xt TUF OC
LG C1 65" TV

I have another week to decide if I keep the 9070xt or take the plunge on a 5070ti.

I may take that 5070ti money and allocate to help fund a 9800x3d. Undecided.

Not the highest end, but high end costs far too much money. I lean on bang for buck for 4k gaming.

Never had the "best".

Closest (at one point in time), was a 5900X and RTX 3080. Never spending more than that build ever again, that's for sure.

As much as I would like to upgrade, my computer still works perfect for what I do (mainly browse Neogaf).

Topher Topher MikeM MikeM do you think it would be worth it to upgrade my wife 3090 for a 9070xt…she play at 2K ultrawide.
Probably not. Techpowerup shows the 3090 being about 78% of the power of the 9070xt in raster, 85% in RT workload.

Whats the resale market look like? Does she enjoy DLSS? FSR4 is in its infancy so it doesn't have the wide adoption that DLSS has but apparently 75 will have it by end of this year.

I could get between 900-1000 CAD for the 3090 but since it's in a EK active waterblock front and back it might be a tough sell.

Ours are very similar

This thread should require that people posting their specs:
  1. Upload a screenshot of their system configuration using AIDA64 (or equivalent).
  2. A dated sticky note applied to their computer case that says "Hi, NeoGAF, it's me, [INSERT USERNAME]"--with clear line of sight into the internals.
  3. Any extravagant display claims should also be validated by way of a separate, or all-inclusive, photo.
Lots of master race liars. You can never be too sure.

Do you still have the original cooler? Can it go back on if so?

Nice setup- indeed very similar. How is the 7600x3d?

Not me.

Ryzen 9 7900x
Asus Dual RTX 4070ti Super OC edition
64 GB DDR5
2 TB primary + 4 TB secondary SSD
Asus Prime B650 WiFi mobo
850W PSU, forget the brand

I didn't originally get it for gaming, hence the 12-core Ryzen 9 CPU instead of an 8-core gaming CPU. Thinking of moving to 9900x for power efficiency with my current workloads.

Site won't let me upload iPhone pics as they are too big. There used to be an option to compress/make the picture smaller in data but its gone now.

Nah I'm kidding, I have this in my office but it's for rendering, not gaming.

People: How many threads do you need? 🤔

Pedro Motta Pedro Motta YES 😎

Look people, here we have a stock chomper in his natural habitat. If your wanna blame someone for GPU scarcity, do not blame Nvidia, but Mr. Motta and his 7 GPU Porn0Station. 😘
