Why are you not playing Resident Evil 4 right now?

1) Because I played the original close to a literal thousand times, on every platform ever since it released on GC.
2) I've spent close to ten years closing following RE4HD Project, analyzing every single texture of the game, comparing it to the original and providing feedback.
3) I hated how the Demo controlled and how it looked in terms of post processing and FOV, despite not having a single problem with previous Remakes which I love.

I'm playing it but tbh the island is a slog and i'm a bit bored so i can't wait for it to finish so i can return to finish mh sunbreak.

1) I'm busy playing other games
2) I heard it still needs some patches
3) i tried the Camecube version back in the days and didn't really like it (but I'm inclined to try it again!) - as far as I can remember you were constantly running out of ammo which is not a gameplay element they I don't enjoy, at all. It's just stressful
4) That dude's haircut is extremely silly and annoying, it actually bothers me, plus
5) I want to experience it in VR anyway (RE8 is incredible in VR and then I don't have to look at his stupid hair! Win win!)

So yeah, I'll be happy to play it later when the PSVR2 version drops!

Played it, beat it, and thought it was a good game.
I still prefer the orig game with the HD project mod, and will be playing that in the future (and no its not nostalgia, i did a playthough of the orig game modded about a month ago in preperation of this game).

Very rarely do I pay full price for a game, let alone a remaster that I've already beaten, I recently got RE2 for 10$.

Ill wait until this is 10$

really enjoying, but I wish they had brought in mikami as a producer to tighten up the gameplay a bit

But people really seem to enjoy it so it's probably by design

Honestly. I just don't care for the RE remakes. I can see that they are not bad games. They do seem decent. But the #1 issue I have had with all the RE remakes is the fact that they are so damn dark. Whats with the walk around in the dark with a small flashlight syndrome these games are suddenly so obsessed with?? Its not scary, just irritating. The RE remakes are definitely decent games. But at the end of the day, I just find myself preferring to play the original games which I do from time to time.

I am good with the GC version. Might play it when it will be cheaper, unless you want to offer the game to me OP.

Because its too expensive, i had higher graphical expectations, tried the demo and controls felt too heavy and waiting for VR mode...phew, there, i said it!

Because games are too expensive this gen (specifically where I live due to exchange rates) and most of them are like 50% off after 6 months anyway. Besides I have no shortage of other great stuff to play.
Also the IQ on Ps5 is pretty shitty and I'm hoping by the time it goes on sale in a few months there have been some patches that improve things.

Also remakes in general just don't excite me that much. I'd much rather play new games.

Never liked horror anything and I think the gore is disgusting. I've watched playthroughs of the old ones and it's fine, but the newer ones are just way too realistic looking for me. I tried the demo and it was just too gross.

I've played the first one played of times to be patient.
RE // Capcom games also tend to have discounts pretty early on on steam.

Work, kids, wife, house, dog…I'll get back on it later tonight. On chapter 12.

Because the demo sucked. Damn RNG hit reaction, the original game didn't have such bullshit.
This is 100% what I've disliked about the remakes. You can have dead-on headshots that don't even stagger the first enemies you come across in the game. It's too random.

Yesterday night when I was going to, my cat was attempting to teach the two new little kittens I have how to break into the ventilation system Snake style, and I had to put a stop to that, and then they went inside the couch and started fighting. One of them was betting I think, felonious cats. I ended up falling asleep on said couch having a vague dream of playing some schizo version of RE4 Remake. Now I want to play the schizo version just as bad...

Once I appease the feline hellions at my place when I get off work its Leon time :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Btw, anyone playing the PS5/PC (if it has it) version I suggest you give the gyro aim a try, I seriously can't go back to playing it without it. More games need this!

I'm not gaming right now......but it's a remake anyway,I can only get so excited for a game like that.Given it's a remake of an already great game I'm even less interested tbh.

U mean a game that I've played 4 times already? Don't really need a 5th time. I am engrossed with forspoken and the last of us right now, much better games than re4.

Because I'm playing something better:

Because I'm at work and last night I watched American Pie w/ my wife and then tested a keyboard with my Xbox and PSO. Shit works and is baller as hell in a Y2K way.

I'll be back on RE4 this weekend though, it's a great game for sure.
