Why did Activison put a Sierra website up?

EMBee99

all that he wants is another baby
http://sierra.com

As a child of late 80s/early 90s PC gaming, have to say this piqued my interest. Logo on the site matches the old Sierra On-Line logo, but there's also an Activison copyright at the bottom with a callout to Gamescom.

Video is down now but did feature what looked like the opening logo animation for whatever this is.

Is this old news or is there anything pointing at the return of Space/Kings/Police Quests and the like? HD Phantasmagoria remakes?

Sorry if posted/old.

HNNNNNNG

My soul hurts....

i imagine they are about to try to reboot the brand because of how popular it used to be or there about to reboot one of there franchises

i new generation is the perfect time for a Rebrand or reboot

And that's not getting into the suff they published. So many hours on the Ceaser games, lord that logo is nostalgic.

Holy shit....woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

Although it is ACTIVISION so Im hesitant as hell

interesting… I remember their Nascar games were really awesome back in the day. So many good hours spent on it. :)

Because they're getting the Dynamix gang back together and making a proper sequel to Tribes 2!

WHOOOOOOOOHHHHHOOOOOOOO!

Probably not, and now I'm sad.......

HYPE!!!
that Activision will manage to crush somehow

I loved most of Sierra games. I just love the kind of games they made and the feel they had.
Please, Phantasmagoria, please.

I mean, its not going to be anything but a studio based on exploiting the Sierra name and not an actual return to form... Right?

I sincerely hope it's a sign of new games from the studio like a new Crash Bandicoot game but I'm willing to bet it's just going to be something like remastered or re-releases of their old adventure titles.

Edit: Probably mobile releases of their old adventure games.
