Damn, so you can't use it with high res texture packs then. Oh well...jett said:With Jabo's plug-in, advanced -> adjust game aspect to match yours

VanMardigan said:Does your graphics card matter? I have an i7 and a ton of ram, but the games chug at 720p (~15 fps). I have a pretty average video card, but I thought these things only used processors.
edit: Also, if it helps, I'm on 64 bit Vista.
Convergys said:you still need a decent videocard to render the graphics. What card do you have?
these two run well enough for me. i get about 30 fps in both.kiruyama said:whoah, sound?!?! how's the framerate? is the sound choppy? This and PCSX2 might make me build a new PC:lol
is the phenom 64 bit? 64 bit and dual core help quite a lot with dolphin in my experience. your quad core isn't going to run any quicker than a dual core though, it only has dual core support at this stage.whitehawk said:I have a feeling my PC isn't good enough for this, but I might as well ask.
It's this PC: http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/hp-pavilion-media-center/1707-3118_7-32909857.html
Pretty sure it's 32bit. Well Im running on Vista, and it's the 32 bit version.plagiarize said:is the phenom 64 bit? 64 bit and dual core help quite a lot with dolphin in my experience. your quad core isn't going to run any quicker than a dual core though, it only has dual core support at this stage.
well then even if your phenom is 64 bit, you wouldn't be able to run 64 bit dolphin since you're on 32 bit vista.whitehawk said:Pretty sure it's 32bit. Well Im running on Vista, and it's the 32 bit version.
Daco's links don't work for me for some reason.SOLDIER said:What's this about an IL version? Is that the one found here? http://www.nyleveia.com/daco/
Your specs sound similar to mine, so I want to give this a shot. Someone also mentioned a widescreen hack/plugin. How does that work?
Because it would make no difference. An HD Wii would be a successor with more horsepower and at least 720p support. It would have totally new games for it, and any BC would be probably upscaled, not natively rendered.Bearillusion said:This thread makes me very sad. Why can't Nintendo release a HD Wii?
Galaxy in HD with some AA looks amazing.HUELEN10 said:Because it would make no difference. An HD Wii would be a successor with more horsepower and at least 720p support. It would have totally new games for it, and any BC would be probably upscaled, not natively rendered.
Aka what difference would it make?
Mark Rein recently said that over half of the Gears of War 2 players are playing the game in SD.Haunted said:Get with the times, Nintendo. Lots of people have HDTVs now (I think?), you can't hold out for much longer!

try the link i posted above. daco's builds don't ever fully download for me.ShockingAlberto said:So, I'm trying to install this emulator, but each setup exe I try to install gives me the same error message that I'm downloading it on the wrong version of Windows.
I have 64-bit Windows 7, but neither the 32-bit or the 64-bit installs work.
That seemed to do it.plagiarize said:try the link i posted above. daco's builds don't ever fully download for me.
Of course we most likely will never know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of the things Xbox Live reports back to Microsoft is what resolution you have your Xbox set at.elrechazao said:He also gives no source for that, so I'm not sure he's not pulling that out of his ass. It's not like steam where they get a report of what gfx card their users have. He has zero idea how many people play his game on an hdtv or not....

It's true! Odd to see HD Nintendo characters.HAL_Laboratory said:Funny to think that the best visual representations of many of Nintendo's offerings are right here in this thread.

Phenoms are 64bit, but as stated, you'll need Windows 64bit to use it to it's full potential.whitehawk said:Pretty sure it's 32bit. Well Im running on Vista, and it's the 32 bit version.
CO_Andy said:Faked 16:9 support is fairly awesome. HUD still looks stretched though.
this is also why the Wii version of RE4 once it's properly emulated will beat the pants off the PC version once and for all.bee said:the hud will always be stretched until someone learns how to make a custom one and insert it into the game like what happened with the n64 scene
the opengl plugin allows you to do this

Hi Res textures bitches.
With flat textures, lack of geomety and old gen lightning ? I don't think so.Kukuk said:I'd love for it to beat this.
Because that would mean it'd looks better than most PS3/360 games. :lol
yeah, exactly. the ONLY thing in those screens that makes them look good is the textures.Dr_Biscuit said:With flat textures, lack of geomety and old gen lightning ? I don't think so.
Or most of bad PS3/360 games.

It really astounds me people going off about the PC version being the end all port, are blind to the missing lighting, the effect it has to the mood of the game is 10x more important than texture clarity to me, but ymmv I suppose. I guess they're just happy their lighting got patched to the point it wasn't complete ass, like in the release version.
It's something that has to be seen in motion to understand too, perhaps it's not missed as much as I think, but since I'm aware of the many differences, I realize they're missing, like the way lightning doesn't look nearly as good, or the way the flashlight isn't as good either.
