Ok, just got everything sorted out, all the games accessories, are warped and luckily Trine 2 is downloading quickly!! It estimated 25 minutes and is at just 13 minutes left.

Quick question: I'm planning to do a Wii to Wii U system transfer because I have a shit ton of Virtual Console games. Do these need to be played in Wii Mode or can they be played in Wii U mode?

Is anything lost at all in the transfer? Like are there any exceptions to save data on certain games like the locked save system of SSB: Brawl for example?

Because they haven't introduced a Wii U version of the emulators, and the VC releases expect the old IOS from the Wii OS.

It just occurred to me...if I transfer my Wii save data to Wii U, that means all of my Brawl character unlocks and such will be deleted from the Wii...which unless I'm mistaken means I won't be able to use Gamecube controllers anymore (without straight up re-unlocking all of the characters all over again, which isn't going to happen).

Works, same address, you don't have to do a thing. You can only log in after you bought something on the eShop, though.

Sorry, I was referring to your future purchases, not the Blops one - that one's done. Yes, the GB and the PL stores (and the DE one, for that matter) both take foreign CCs. And that holds true for the 3DS eShops as well.

Can I create a NNID outside of the Wii U (like from a browser on my PC)? Because from within the Wii U it restricts me to choosing from the regions of Spain, so I don't see how I can create a UK NNID.

Hold on, European Wii Us don't have a language option in Console Settings? American systems let you freely change between English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

You can change the language, and I set it to English and bought NSMBWU from the eShop and it plays in English. But I'm not so sure about other games now after experiencing the retail release of Black Ops 2.

Thanks I did read it, but what I should have clarified is that I intend to go all digital except for games that don't show up on the eShop, so I don't really want to order physical copies of games from the UK . So I understand now about COD and some other games not having multi-language, but also not sure what the fate of other games on the eShop will be. I should have waited and bought a USA machine like usual but I thought it was gonna be like the Wii where it would be sold out everywhere .

Are you using an A/V receiver? Some artificially add a 100ms delay to the audio to compensate the lag of the tv. If you do, try to check the settings.

I dont have Zombi U, not sure what option that is. But if you plug in your headphones the audio from whatever is on the screen will play, its like futuristic witchcraft it is.

I think mine might be broken already, got up early and opened it, installed the software update and everything was fine. I played NSMBU for a good hour and it was fine, then I switched it off for a while and now whenever I go to launch an app from the main menu the main unit switches itself off and the controller tells me connection has been lost (which is because the unit is powered off I suppose), anyone else had similar issues?

Dude, it seems that by going to system settings and changing the country of residence first, I'm able to create a new NNID for the UK! So I went ahead and did that, and tried adding funds with a foreign cc, and it worked just like you said! Brilliant, thanks a bunch! The only downside is that I now have to put up with the time restrictions of the Euro eShop to buy "mature" games haha!

Foreign cards still don't work on my American 3DS eShop though unless that has changed post Paper Mario's release.

Now I guess I only need to sell my Spanish Black Ops 2.
