XD soo gud Wii U has really reinvigorated my love for games
You, sir, are a proper parent. *thumb up*It's tucked way back of the tv stand atm, all remotes plugged into chargers behind it...his last gift will be a shirt with the gamepad wrapped inside.
It's all patched, 3 d/l titles (Nano Assault/Mighty Switch/Trine) and nsmbu retail...I was debating making a Santa Mii as the default login Mii.
I cant wait
It's finally sitting all hooked up downstairs, just waiting for my son to find it and shit himself in Excitement (well, I hope not literally)
Wii mode. Everything transfers.Quick question: I'm planning to do a Wii to Wii U system transfer because I have a shit ton of Virtual Console games. Do these need to be played in Wii Mode or can they be played in Wii U mode?
Is anything lost at all in the transfer? Like are there any exceptions to save data on certain games like the locked save system of SSB: Brawl for example?
Wii mode. Everything transfers.
Because they haven't introduced a Wii U version of the emulators, and the VC releases expect the old IOS from the Wii OS.Are there no Virtual Console titles for the Wii U? Why would it force your Virtual Console library to be only used in the Wii mode just because the games were purchased on a Wii?

You don't have a ps3, I take it. GT5 (a first party 'flagship' title) has several gigs worth of updates (not counting any DLC).Just unpacked the Xmas WiiU.
Switch on - update. Over 30 mins. Great. Chance to finally play a game. Put in Nintendoland. Another fecking update. Good lord it's ridiculous.
Not a great user experience Nintendo.

For europeans how does it works the promotion thing?Just put it on before you go to sleep and set it to auto shutdown after it's complete.
Go here and start saving you lucky bastard.

I've got all the consoles but luckily enough. Not GT5.
Well. After a hour of various updates. My kids are finally playing Nintendoland and peace has once again descended on the cyberheater household.
That's US/CAN.For europeans how does it works the promotion thing?
Do I need to activate something?
Yay Wii U for Xmas!!
My favorite thing about it??
Headphones!!
I feel like this has been the most underrated feature of the Wii U so far. This is revolutionary. Console gaming with headphones.
Works, same address, you don't have to do a thing. You can only log in after you bought something on the eShop, though. For europeans how does it works the promotion thing?

Never got games console for xmas but that does sound dope for your son. It's finally sitting all hooked up downstairs, just waiting for my son to find it and shit himself in Excitement (well, I hope not literally)

I wonder if my Astros A40 work for voice chat in online games.

Im not talkin bout voice chat dude, im talkin bout surround sound console audio. That is an amazing feature that I think has been overlooked.
Sorry, I was referring to your future purchases, not the Blops one - that one's done. Yes, the GB and the PL stores (and the DE one, for that matter) both take foreign CCs. And that holds true for the 3DS eShops as well.
Hold on, European Wii Us don't have a language option in Console Settings? American systems let you freely change between English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Surprising my nephews with a Wii U. Can't wait to see the look on their faces. I have no one else to spoil so lucky them!
You can change the language, and I set it to English and bought NSMBWU from the eShop and it plays in English. But I'm not so sure about other games now after experiencing the retail release of Black Ops 2.
Read my post on this subject matter earlier: Some games are multi-lingual, others are not (CoD never had English language tracks on localized copies in the past).
Order from the UK or begin to check before buying.
Are you using an A/V receiver? Some artificially add a 100ms delay to the audio to compensate the lag of the tv. If you do, try to check the settings.Well, if they could fix the sound coming a tad earlier from the gamepad, i would be more excited, with this feature...

Oh, wait are you referring to hearing the sound entirely from the gamepad, like the option that ZombiU offers?
So, if i purchase me some surround headphones, i would be able to have surround sound from my wiiu gamepad?Woot, if true!!!!!!!!"
Merry Christmas to all of you, btw!!

Had a great time playing multiplayer nintendoland last night but Monica or whatever is super annoying.
Hahah, you mean Monita, yeah, she can be annoying, but to casuals/newcomers, she can be useful too, I don't like her, but I understand why they designed it that way.
I think mine might be broken already, got up early and opened it, installed the software update and everything was fine. I played NSMBU for a good hour and it was fine, then I switched it off for a while and now whenever I go to launch an app from the main menu the main unit switches itself off and the controller tells me connection has been lost (which is because the unit is powered off I suppose), anyone else had similar issues?
