The deluxe comes with a sensor bar, but not with a little stand, like the Wii did. I just peeled back those stickers on the bottom and stuck it right on top of my Wii one.

I just used my Wii sensor bar. It's already wired and in the place I want it, I just unplugged it from the Wii and into the Wii U, save that Wii U one in case I ever need a spare.

I feel I got burned a little by Chasing Aurora because I thought the work would be a bit more open to fly and explore but all I got is a bunch of chase your tail around a loop

Nah. A part of me wishes I wasn't such a sucker, because I do honestly believe Nintendo is unfathomably stupid and cruel to customers when it comes to certain things. And I do believe they're so outdated and out of touch with the market that it drives me insane. And I don't have complete faith in the Wii U being much more than Wii 2.0. But they're still one of the best software developers in the world, in my opinion, and I haven't skipped a system of theirs for that reason. I like video games and they make outstanding video games, therefore I must have their systems.
I had always intended to get a Wii U at launch in Australia, and I was one of the first to put in a pre-order at my usual store. The only major factor that I knew would turn me away would have been an outrageous local price. Like, AU$500 for Premium. Then I would have told Nintendo to go fuck themselves. But I'm happy with the price as it is, need a new toy, and know I'll be getting one eventually. Sooo...Wii U at launch it is!

I would have sworn all the negatives around here would have soured your desire to get one at launch. Still I love this thing so I am not sure what the fuss is about most issues seem to iron out. Waiting for updates hopeful that many updates come during the rest of the launch period.
I am looking forward to Japan's launch to most being the last and final Miiverse invaders I want to see how these communities stack up when the whole world is on.
one of the many reasons I find Wii U to be Nintendo's most ambitious hardware, I am not sure where they are going to find the CPU power for it but I cannot wait to see this thing in action in real time when I search a movie or show

So, Eat, you gonna buy Mass Effect 3 SE? I know the Mass Effect whore/completist inside of you wants it, if only to play on the GamePad screen all portable-like.
Man, I don't know why, even if I have 3 U games that I can't wait to spend more time on during this week-end because I barely had the time to rock it during the last 5 days (around 8 hours total), I want to rock Xenoblade for the fourth time on my Wii U just because it gives me a reason to start a new game.
Must resist. Its just too good.
OH AND, Miiverse is fucking addictive, each time I'm crancked up to play a game I go see what happens in the Miiverse first and always end up spending like 20-30 minutes on it. =_=

I had one yesterday with Black Ops 2 and 2 tonight
with Black Ops 2 and Zombie U.
Both games play fine after ejecting the disk and reinserting it.
Hmmm gonna keep an eye on this - hope I dont have to return it
or send it in to Nintendo.

I can understand and appreciate the negative response to the launch within a non-hyperbolic bubble. There's been a lot of hyperbole, but I also feel the launch was a cock up (just as I've felt Nintendo's handling of this entire system, and communication of the system, has been awful from the get go), and I feel the disappointment with overall port quality is warranted. The accounts system is completely unforgivable in my opinion, to the point where I wish Nintendo would just pack it up and get a different company to handle their online/account services. Like, I have no faith in them at all to deliver in that area, except in the one or two specific things they obsess over (eg: the fantastic idea and implementation of Miiverse).
I mean, I'm buying Nintendo consoles, and I like Nintendo as a developer, so naturally I want them to do the best. It's good for them, and it's good for me. So when they do dumb shit I get super disappointed.
But the negative buzz doesn't effect me much as I'm an adult capable of critical reasoning skills and making my own decisions and projections. I bought a Wii at launch and (as I've reiterated many times) I could write an essay on the problems I had with Nintendo and the system, but by the end I was still very happy with my purchase and all these years later wouldn't change my launch day decision.
I figure the Wii U will be much the same. I'll enjoy what I get, very much so, even if it will be through gritted teeth.
And play at 720p FXAA instead of 1080p 4xSGSSAA? Never. Never.
You need to blow on the disc.
Seriously, I'd be upset, that's kinda weird, never happened in my case yet.

Had this happen the first time I put in NSMBU. Funny thing is the game icon popped up fine. Re-inserting it did the trick.

Weird question, but how is the (speaking) sound output on the Amazon app? The one on PS3 is oddly low for speech relevant to the other audio, unless I've just got something configured wrong.

Where did you find that? Big W's online price is the best I've seen so far: AU$388 for Premium, free delivery. Won't get it at launch if you do that though, I don't think.
The game pad is not even hd, can't compare it!...
I wonder when we'll start hearing rumors about upcoming games (an RPG would be excellent) or perhaps just inside rumblings of games not coming or how certain companies (EA for example) really feel about the system.

Nope. It has been discontinued as far as I'm aware, for some time now. Discontinued before Skyward Sword launched. It's only bundled in with games like Wii Sports Resort.
I remember having to deal with this a lot while working in retail just when Skyward Sword launched.

No, but if you need a Wii Remote +, watch for clearance sales on Fling Smash. I saw it on clearance at Toys r Us for $25 and at Target for $15 and it comes with a black Remote +

I think Mass Effect 3 will indeed sell like shit. I think Madden and FIFA will be on the system irrespective of anything, because they're Madden and FIFA. I think similarly of Need for Speed.
