I watched the first season of this show... watching a bunch of nerds be terrible to each other and having really awkward challenges makes it... something else.
Apparently they are going to debate who will win in a fight, The Enterprise or the Millennium Falcon, as a competition.
It's a pretty big one, so I'm just going to avoid typing it here... I presume it's easily found out there though?

You know i was going to say after today's episode line that
somebody had a miscarriage considering the "he looks like you" line but I didn't expect time traveling ghost. I can also assume I know who she marries considering red headed boy has been made a big character
As to Gintama, glad you love it. Watching it again it's a bit eerie to see how the animation/art style looked like early on. It doesn't evolve completely but it does get so much better. This is like watching earlier episodes of Simpsons.
Not gonna lie I completely forgot this show had panty shots every now and then and just like with Yozakura Quartet they feel so fucking out of place in this anime.

(Funny enough, all of Canada's Radio Shacks were bought by Circuit City and then rebranded. Of course, Circuit City is dead, but this Canadian arm still seems to exist as a bit of a zombie.)

Your description makes this show sound like possibly the best thing ever, which of course it is.
Yeah, once the move has been made from Gonzo to KyoAni it's lessened. I can only really think of two more examples in the entire series, one of which is possibly meant to be creepy. The two that come to mind are MAJOR SPOILERS
When Kaname is in nothing but her panties just before stunning Yui Lan and when Sophia is dressing in her plug suit for Tartaros. In the first instance, Kaname has to strip down because she realizes there's a tracking device hidden somewhere on her body and the scene has a character who is a psychotic creep remark how beautiful she looks in the rain. The other scene Sophia doesn't give a flying fuck about anything cuz she's an omnicidal bitch, and she's caught mid-motion by Sousuke's speech. It's not a particularly amazing justification, but I feel that in both scenes the crazy stuff going on is much more important than the fan service, and that considering the context (a girl running for her life and a woman trying to destroy the world) neither one is particularly attractive.
I don't know that I've seen one in years.

Hitokage made a comment I found interesting over in the OT anime thread about how the Military nerds pretty much disappeared from the scene. What exactly caused that? And would the success of stuff like GuP and other more militaristic works bring them back? Were they that big of an influence? Does the cross over between the military ala Kancolle, GuP, whatever that stupid gun show was, and the militarys new found recruting drive be part of that? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but it just really struck me given just how many of my military friends used to be anime friends but aren't any more.
It's part of a new batch, so you might want to point that out next time and give drop credit. Post things you like, fine, but give the others a chance to find their favorites.
Anyways, looking at the previews there should be two Nourin plus a pair of lewd Maken-ki pinups coming and a Sakura Trick one, latter one I imagine will make some people happy.

We have "The Real Canadian Superstore"... I wonder if they're related.
The most obvious reason is the dwindling relvance of World War II and the generation that grew up after it, but I wouldn't say that's the only reason.
I imagine it's also harder for them to romanticize WWII than it is for America, since WWII is still an all time fave over here.

He's more referring to vehicles & planes, I think, where you had kids growing up drawing that shit all the time becoming animators who drew that shit all the time. Mechanical animation isn't in as much demand anymore either thanks to CG.
