I just want to know what the North American equivalent to the Samurai class is.
Can't use a cowboy/gunslinger and Swashbuckler already kinda has Pirates covered.

Trying to rewatch this properly since the first time I just kept skipping to only scenes that I wanted to see animated. Really loved how the first 2 minutes of the show just set the mood and atmosphere perfectly with its music. Also pretentious hipster Kasuga is still funny.

I dunno, Cowboy (Sheriff in particular) is kinda the closest you have unless you suddenly get modern and say Security Dood.

Though I guess they could localize that, remove dual swords and replace one with a shitty flintlock pistol.
Though I'd vote for localizing Swashbuckler into a calvary scout that uses sabers and gets buffs for mounted combat.

Samurais are all about honour so the obvious western equivalent is the right honourable gentlemen.

Kamille didn't have any good choices aside from Fa and Emma. Four was a nutcase, Reccoa was insane and Rosamia was an insane nutcase.

Its the only anime/manga I can think of where I really liked the character with glasses, and there are even 3 of them.
Edit: nvm I kinda liked Keitaro from Love Hina even though he was a loser.

Ami is kind of a prick and almost helped screwed everything up by keeping quiet due to some misplaced sense of moral superiority, but she came around and is a cool dude. Bro tier.
Minori is a nice lovable girl with big insecurity issues and who responded to an internal emotional crisis by endlessly pouting, shutting herself away from her friends, and generally just doing the wrong thing every time. And then she got better, to be fair. Friend tier.
Sadly I might have to lean towards Firemind on this one as Kitamura didn't really become awesome until after he had his soul ripped straight from his chest, and before that he was just sort of a dull wet blanket. Also if you look back on it he was kind of being a dick to Taiga. Acquaintance tier.
