I'm trying to pretend that thread doesn't exist. The only times I've looked at it were when you mentioned it here and I'm always disappointed in myself for reading it lol.
I'm pretty new to AnimeGAF but I'm already pissed as to what's going on in the Bravely Default censorship thread.
Apparently, we are EcchiGAF and HentaiGAF, call the Overlords for punishment! /s
Well that's the generalization talking. Not everybody in here watch and/or enjoy the same things. I might watch a show for the cheesy romance while another person watches it for the moe girls and another as a hate-watch.
If you don't think you're part of the more openly perverted anime-viewers then it shouldn't be an issue. If somebody gets insulted AND they know they enjoy "ecchi" then that's just not looking in the mirror hard enough.
WA1 got a second season so it's always a possibility. I know there's a second visual novel as well, so depending on whether the studio's goal was to get people to play the VN's, or how long the second VN is, that will decide on whether a second season will happen.

Trigun 4
Well, this is still following that formula but it was a bit more interesting with the robbers being the victims and the parent being a changed criminal. Also, great action scenes too
Well if that's so, I'd still hope for a second season. It was one of the nicer surprises this past season. If not I guess I'm screwed with no VN translations. Unless there are VN translations. Never checked.
Yeah, White Album 1 didn't really have an opportunity to end after the first 13 episodes. Toya had a lot more people he needed to sleep with at that point.

I dunno. Calling someone a pedophile is way over the line imo. And equating ecchi with hentai is like equating Sex comedy movies (like American Pie I guess) with Porn.
You'd think after all the 'murderers in training' talk gamers get they wouldn't be just as crazy.

You know what's funny, a guy with an Ellie (TLoU) avatar (yeah yeah, avatar calling I know) called me out as a creep for not finding anything wrong with the chibis.
I'm not American guys, so I find it fascinating that people criticize sex/sexuality so much when violence is rampant in pretty much every form of your media.
I love TLoU btw, but it's a super violent game nonetheless. So when a guy like that tries to pull the ultra conservative card against me, I get pretty confused :/
I'm not sure I liked it. Some scenes were better than others, but sometimes it felt like I just couldn't keep up with what was going on. Also I'm worried that some of these sketches will go on waaaaayyyyy too long to the point of being unbearable, like many in Family Guy. The wiener thing came dangerously close to that.
I liked the fire alarm scene, though. And the music was pretty good.
Magical Warfare is set to broadcast every Thursday starting on January 9, at 12:30p.m. Pacific Time for its premium members, with free members able to watch one week later. More information can be found on www.crunchyroll.com/magicwar.
And reading the pages up to Touma's True Route, holy shit such melodrama. Like I know that if I watch this in anime form I'll be cringing. I'd enjoy it, but I'd cringe. Good thing I have sillier things to do to wash it off

Your totally right but you know and maybe this is the wrong thread but I do question sometimes why fanservice is fanservice? Why is seeing the underwear of a 12 year old girl even if it is just a cartoon pleasing to some fans? Tbh honest I never understood that aspect of anime. Fan service usually refers to beach episodes, or glimpses of underwear but why?
I don't know, it starts to get pretty boring when things start to escalate into pointless semantic arguments. There's not much fun in watching people viciously deride or defend someone's choice of words when the intent of the message is made plainly obvious.
It's still probably better than the 10000th "lolicon is/isn't pedophilia" merry-go-round or the 30000th "ha you have an anime avatar so you are stupid and no one should listen to you" spiel.
All it does is confirm how judgmental people in general are, no matter the circumstances. I'm reading the thread right now and it's pissing me the fuck off.
It's not pissing me off as much as stressing me out that even with the geek/nerd community we judge others in order to feel superior/not as much of an outcast from what is considered normal.

So, this is typical space warfare. Humans good, aliens evil, etc. That's cool. I'm down for that. I was kind of robbed of that kind of fighting scenario in the last anime I watched, although it was a really good twist.

Monogatari S2 25 & 26
Holy shit
didn't know what you guys saw in Kaiki, thought he was pretty boring but these last2 episodes completely turned me around on him.
Might be my favorite character of the series now.
Princess and the Pilot
Enjoyed it until the end which completely ruins the entire thing for me. also the ending felt too rushed.
Considering how Kamille turns out (FUCK YOU ZETA MOVIES FUCK YOU FOREVER), I'd say that makes perfect sense!
You forgot Sarah, who in spite of being Katz' love interest is more interested in boning Kamille or Poptarts Sriracha.
Judau's best, though. He's got the imouto Leina, the token loli Puru, the double yandere loli Puru Two, the Veronica in Roux, the tsundere Betty in Elle, the over endowed, child-like adult in Chara and of course fan favorite, dark horse Haman Khan.
Meanwhile Uso Ebbing continues to be a fucking putz because he has an actual harem and rather than put it to any use he spends the entire series whine-screaming. Seriously, if I had to name two things I hated above all else in Victory, it'd be Karlman and also Uso's voice actor. EVERYTHING that guy says is some horrible whining noise.

I don't really even know why its even that limited. I mean gratuitous details about vehicles in anime seems just as fan servicey to me as a beach episode. Ditto continuity porn in other show. Or heavy referencing in shows.
Those all seem like fan service to me. Hell they seem more fan servicey to me than characters in swimsuits or the like.
Trigun 2-3
Pretty enjoyable though both episodes seemed to have a similar structure that first the insurance girls are in a town looking for Vash, find Vash but still not realizing he is Vash, meet people who are not exactly what they seem, a showdown with Vash's magic bullet avoidance and defeat the baddie of the episode. I hope the show doesn't stick to that formula.
Like a number of shows from that era (although I guess it stills goes on today), the initial setup for the series is one of comedy hijinks to get you used to the characters and world before it gradually shifts over to something a bit more serious.
Stick with it, despite an ending which still makes people mutter, Trigun is still good stuff.
Are you talking about the Bravely Default thread today? Because I guess so, yeah. I mean, I really like Yoshida's art style, and that dude was way off base.

He's the same guy who called me a creeper.
BTW, staying on the gaming-anime topic, is it me or those A/B segment image intermissions on Yozakura Quartet look awfully familiar to Devil Survivor's artwork?
That's cool as hell if they got the artist to draw for them, we need more Games <--> Anime collaboration from the artistic side of things.

I assume you mean Devil Survivor, yeah? I'm pretty sure it's Yasuda. He also did the art for Durararararararararararararara. I have pretty mixed feelings about his art.
I didn't enjoy the arc before this one so I took a time off to grow my patience and watch the last part. Now I'm ashamed that I didn't watch it before.
I wasn't really enjoying this set of Monogatari arcs but Hitagi End was amazing, Kaiki is such a boss. And I loled every time I saw the OP, pure gold.
Then the series ends in a cliffhanger. Damn you SHAFT.
