I can usuallly go an episode or two more than that before it gets wonky, but yeah. The app is kind of a piece of shit.
So I used to think that a series with a great opening meant I was in for something good, but then I encountered Soul Eater. Lasted 11 episodes before bailing out and just reading what happened next on Wikipedia, figuring that I didn't miss much at all.
All it had going for it was some cool fight scenes. Anyone here liked it more and mind telling me why they did?

Thanks, what I liked about it was that since im paying for it I normally end up watching stuff I'd never go out of my way to watch otherwise.
Now since the PS4 browser is so bad I have less options for watching stuff so I thought it'd be the perfect time to try again.
If they have some good stuff currently.
I can't due to personal reasons that aren't "I don't want to show my face"
I'd consider a Crunchyroll sub if I could, but my money isn't there for it.

Not usually. It happens now and again due to licensing and whatnot, but when it does occur, they usually give you enough notice where you can watch it before they yank it.

Nodame Cantabile Paris OVA
Well I can say someone got lucky that night in Paris.
So I found out I actually didn't watch anything about the Paris season of Nodame so I guess it's best if I jump back in and try to get myself up to speed with stuff like who's who and what the hell is going on.
Still pretty enjoyable, especially with the music side. I'm having some recollection of the characters so far and looking forward to finishing off this series.

A good intro episode. Funny and sincere at the same time, which I really like, and mythological creatures in modern society always lead to some fun times. Cross dressing tanuki antics are surprisingly fun to watch, and Benten seems pretty awesome from what was shown of her, too. The music did a pretty solid job, too. Interested to see what comes from this setup.

I like it because I always have soft spot with battle shounen with good production value, but yeah its very shallow.
Watch Yozakura Quartet -Hana no Uta- for something similar that actually have likable character and plot.
You must stomach some excessive fanservice though lol
Benten is awesome and benefits from a lot of scenery porn featuring her. xD Great show.
I've only seen what's been shown on Toonami (I hear the ending is meh but I wouldn't know yet) but what I liked: GREAT cast, humor that works more often than not (Blair is pretty meh-tastic but that are some good bits and comedy episodes strewn throughout the show), great music, great animation and one of the best female villains I've ever seen in anime. Like its not perfect but if you're one who likes shonen, I have no idea why you wouldn't like this. Different strokes for different folks I guess *shrug*
You really think Yozakura is heads and shoulders above Soul Eater in terms of cast or plot? I can't say I agree and I don't mean that as a slight against the cast of Yozakura. The plot of Yozakura is certainly nothing special though.

I wouldn't be surprised. But Recently, My Little Sister Is Unusual was cringe-worthy. It was worse than the constant moaning and crotch-shots in Wanna Be The Strongest In The World. That takes effort.

YZQ have some interesting plot point like dimensional shift, and town that have more significance to the plot than just merely setting, on other hand Soul Eater plot felt really vanilla .

This is really good so far, I love these type of anime that just introduce tons of characters and just shows around their interactions. I'm a bit lost over some things like why Hime is the mayor or why they keep talking about protecting the city so much or some of the characters powers. Not sure if it they will explain it later or just not gonna bother.

I'm kind of amazed/afraid for the show that it hasn't already. No one seemed to care enough to do it.

Holy fuck that was awful. Honestly the most disappointing first episode I have ever watched in my life and I've spent over 160 actual days of my life watching anime.
If anime ever got canceled after one episode this would have been a prime candidate to get the axe.
