I was wondering if there are any great romantic animes that can be recommend to me? Like it doesn't have to revolve around romance, but have great relationship building? can be action or whatever. Trying to get into anime, and I seem to find that a lot of them just gloss over that with the main protagonist being totally oblivious or doesn't come forth until like the last episode and they live happily ever after.

We have the actual format of the show so far in that it's very flashback heavy. Why? Why are you focusing on developing the relationship of a character you already killed off to this extent? Maybe you should have used those flashback sequences in the first episode and tried to build up the yuri relationship before killing 'whatshername' off. The formatting robs the show of any narrative pace it has and doesn't work on an emotional level because why should be the audience be retroactively invested in a literal dead-end romance?
We also of course get the court room stuff which is pretty fucking boring compared to say the shadow plays in Utena or Seizon Senryaku, which at least served some character and narrative purpose.
If I had any respect for my own time, I would have dropped the show at this point. The pacing is completely fucked up in that the first half of this episode just drags, to the point where I almost fell asleep numerous times, as it repeats information that we already known in the same manner.

Then there is the main character who is on repeat mode with her desire to kill bears. I got it. In fact, I got it the first damn episode. Instead this episode again wastes more time establishing this despite it being clear long ago. Now I might be willing to suffer it if I felt it had suffiencient payoff but it doesn't. When Kureha does see the bear that killed her lover, she still can't accurately pull the trigger, until an outside force intervenes and bails her out. Right now Kureha has almost zero character depth and it's like Ikuhara isn't even trying to flesh her out.
How many times is she going to repeat this?

I thought the episode was better directed than the last two, if that's any consolation.

Seriously, I was baffled at the amounts of utterly uninteresting flashbacks. Especially when some weren't clearly labeled as that until a bit further in the sequence. With the rainstorm one I was shortly wondering "Oh she's alive?!? ... ? No reaction? Oh, another flashback... k"

It is definitely much better than WIXOSS.
While it's not a great show by any means, as Madoka clones go, you could watch way worse.
I forget what he did to you but it must not have been very nice!

I dig the setting with zombies and the survival aspect. This first episode was pretty gruesome with lots of death, I hope it keeps that tone.
Got a laugh out of that instant abandonment when the girl pushed her friend down the stairs. All dat pantsu tho. I'm not expecting some masterpiece out of this, but hopefully it'll continue to be some more mindless dumb fun.

Did not watch Wixoss, but I did watch Yuki Yuna and it is a decent clone. At the very least it is not terrible, and based on other people's detailed impression I have seen here, Wixoss is terrible.

I think WIXOSS is a mixed bag but I thought certain aspects of it were well done. It nails the atmosphere, and the first season deals with a incest subplot that isn't trivialized or shown through a twisted rose-tinted lens like most anime. The actual magical twist is something you can see a mile away, but I thought it led to some really interesting fallouts. I haven't caught up in season 2 yet however. The battling is weirdly the least interesting part. They don't describe the actual game mechanics they and serves more as a element of creating drama and tension between relationships than focusing on the specifics of any given match.

I don't know if the internet can handle all that match 3 action!
For me, the initial outbreak in the first episode was done really well, and to me it never reaches that same balance of grindhouse, brutal action, and dark humor. Characters did nothing for me when they weren't running or killing things, and things just slowed down to a point where I was more bored than anything else. There are some isolated moments of ridiculous genius though, most of them already floating around in gif form.
