The split cour was finally confirmed, cool. As for this season finale, it was straight. Finally got the full story on Reoko and Migiwa's past and it was interesting to see both sides like that, gave some new perspective. Rest of the episode was mostly action which wasn't bad either, Migiwa still got it and Azuma with co. did their thing too. Also another peak at Kaoruko, who knows what her goal is, seems to be putting up an annoying facade too.

Overall, I would say this was decent, I enjoyed watching this but it definitely has it flaws, with the biggest being it's pacing. There were a lot of times where I felt they needed to just take a minute and recollect themselves instead throwing event after event then events within an event; it just got messy at points and affected the weight of some moments. But yeah interested in how they will continue the story.

Everybody in this show is goddamned insane
and I loved every second of it.

Second season, please?

TFW you know there's going to be no more new DRRR after this.

The last episode was pretty good if slightly rushed though that said
Shinra slashing Celty came out of nowehere. And why does Erika need an eyepatch?

But yeah, it's been a fun ride. Now if I can just get back to watching Iron-blooded Orphans...

Looking at the stuff coming out of AnimeJapan, it's the TMS adaptations that interest me the most. DGrayMan, ReLife, orange are all manga I like and consider very good, so seeing how they turn out is going to be interesting.

And since God Eater's done, it's back to Heaven's Feel for Ufotable, right?

Why would they rush back to the franchise that resulted in killing their staff?

But seriously, I don't think HF is going be out so soon. Unless they do plan it to be in parts rather than a single six hour film. Then I don't know, maybe they enjoy killing themselves to death over Fate.

Sakura's VA is crying somewhere.

Nah, she has plenty of reasons to be happy.

She's going to be at the live event tomorrow so we will see what happens then.

Fairy Tail S2 End

So, season 2 of Fairy Tail wasn't the smoothest adapation. The new studio wasn't quite up to the task in some regards, and it showed, especially early on.
That said, they kept filler to a minimum, and the quality generally improved as it went on. I liked how they adapted a lot of the side material.

The Eclipse Celestial Spirits arc was godawful though.

I'm in Boston right now but there's better use of my time than watching anime, like eating pho and raw oysters.

Time/money spent on anime is less time/money spent on oysters.

I'm waiting for this to finish, I think DRRR!! works best in a binge watch because the pace imo moves too slow for a weekly show. I can't wait for it to be done, hell, since I'm already waiting I think I might as well wait for the dub, I really enjoy the dub for the DRRR series.

I'm surprised that Aniplex didn't simuldub the last season. That said the dub is quite good and the last episode went up an hour ago for what it's worth.

Speaking as a huge fan of every season before this, the last one's been a train wreck. There's finally more characters than they can effectively pay attention to. Every one before this had a fair balance, this one is just a clusterf, and just when one arc finally gets somewhere(Izaya and Shizuo fighting it out), it always cuts away to something else.

Durarara END
They actually made good on a couple of character arcs which I suppose is pretty amazing for this series. The pacing was still a mess, the back half of this episode was like the cliff notes version of an ending to a series, including random callbacks to characters from dozens of episodes ago like that idol girl. The show as a whole feels like a clunky adaptation, it would have been better off cutting out a bunch of material and side stories/characters from the novels and trying to successfully execute on a narrower vision rather than the sprawling mess that we got.

^ speaking of does Berserk have those giant omnibus volume collections? SImilar to how american graphic novels get the bigger books that combine various chapters/issues into big and colorful hardcover books?
Yeah there's volume releases, but no huge omnibus like comics get. Granted, each volume is 200+ pages and there's 37 of them.

Maturity, bitches.
Pandora in the Crimson Shell - END

And thus the world is saved because we managed to tell a killer A.I. that it's OK that its porn collection was leaked to the world and it doesn't have to destroy everything to hide its shame.

Bubuki Buranki Episode 12 (end)

A nice ending to the series with some more background story, and some solid action scenes.
This show was really strange and crazy at times, the plot and story was all over the place, and they were just throwing new characters in whenever they felt like it. But i still enjoyed this anime for what it was. It was a nice refresher , since it felt so different to everything else.

Just noticed the same dude that did music for Your Lie in April is also doing the soundtrack for Iron Blooded Orphans. I really love the main battle theme for the latter.

Iron Blooded Orphans 23

Damn Mikazuki is a beast. No fucks given there. Some brutal kills at the end.

I kinda feel bad for Carta. She was basically sent to a suicide mission.

last one as in the season that just finished or the season right before the last? I wonder if theres gonna be another season of DRRR since the light novel is still going. I hope there is, I love the world of the series.

Durarararararararararara X2 - 36 (End)

I think I'm okay with this ending. However I think this is seriously something that works better when marathoned. There were a couple callbacks to things I barely remembered in this episode. I'm always amazed at how the show manages to handle such a huge cast and tons of sup-plots, but again, watching it weekly (and with season breaks inbetween too) makes it hard to keept track of everything.
But the scene
with Kadota and gang coldbloodedly running that idiotic wannabe-villain over and him geting the true yandere ending
made everything 10 times better.

God Eater - 13 (End)

Actionwise this was awesome. But the rest was too cheesy for me. Lenka seriously went Super Saiyan lol.
Lots of loose ends, but that was to be expected from the last couple episodes. Kind of underwhelming overall.

I guess this was either a 'season 2 coming' end or just a 'go play the games' one.

Heh, checking the new information about the excessive amount of projects that TRIGGER Inc., has lined-up for the following years I don't feel much surprised now about the "30 years expansion plan" for the studio that Kazuya Masumoto commented during a recent lecture in Fukuoka to present their new branch:

トリガー 福岡スタジオが始動。取締役/アニメーションプロデューサーの舛本和也氏が記念講演を開催 | 特集 | CGWORLD.jp
http://cgworld.jp/feature/201603-hachitai-trigger.html

For the moment they have 3 people at said Fukuoka office, soon to be 8 with a recruiting slated for April... and they'll definitely need all the manpower they can get!

I'm pleased with this, it certainly didn't go over ever character but it mellows things out for the core group I cared about so that's nice. I think this arc was consistently strong for the most part but dragged just a little bit in these last few eps but no big deal. Also Kasane was a very intriguing addition.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (Subtitled) Episode 44 – The Seventh Shadow

I wish they had said what card it was that destroyed Manjoume's Armored Dragon LVL7 in this duel against the shadow seventh star.

Oh well, Manjoume had an awesome face.
