It's delicious but you gotta work for it. Use butter.

I don't even eat crab like this and I want crab now.

Yummy crab...

The game it's adapting ends on a cliffhanger and has a sequel coming out in Japan later this year.

Damn...

How old do you feel?

Nah, as I said in the other thread, I'm subbed to Crunchyroll and funimation because they're $12. Netflix is a given and I have Prime for shipping reasons, so... I'm pretty flush. I'm more worried about another site appear on Hulu getting an exclusive.

The pioneer player isn't that big! Also I'm not that old of a dog >_>

Phantom ep.10
Ok episode, would have been interesting if they actually did kill her off the show, but we know that wasn't going to happen. Those tears though, lol.

Barakamon's children were voice acted by actual kids, right? I wanna say it makes a noticeable. Halfway through and I'm liking it quit a bit. I expected Naru to be more of an annoying brat after the first episode but fortunately that's really not the case at all.

Right, they did a good job.

yeah they're voiced by actual kids and it's pretty clear when every kid doesn't have that high pitched try hard 'onii-san' cute voice.

what is that the thirty seventh time the crab eating gif has been posted

Nah, I just checked and Kiribread posted it once, several people quoted him, and he's just posted it a second time.

Still, maybe we could dub him Kanibread for a while.

Maybe that's why I actually found the kids in Barakamon endearing instead of annoying as fuck like most anime.

The issue stems from what the character is there for. When the character is there solely for the cute little sister weirdos who fantasize about this, then I tend to not stand the character. Not to say none of the kids in Barakamon didn't have that as an aspect to them, but it seemed more like they were there for comedy WAY more.

Utawarerumono ep. 22
Mission accomplished for now, but where are they going with the final two episodes to close everything out? There's now way they go into a third season with it being a game adaptation, righ? Bummer we aren't going to get the proper Kouen x Haku ship we deserve. ..

Kuon/Haku ship didn't even sail in the game, if I remember correctly.

They had hints of the ship with her blushing and asking him for really personal stuff and wanting him near her, but yeah they delayed the departure apparently.

Prison School - OVA

The faces, the situations, the comedy, it's all so amazing. I've watched a few of the comedy shows this season but nothing has made me laugh as much as this OVA did. Here's hoping a second season is announced soon.

Manga sells well but the current arc they started in the OVA isn't even over yet, and I don't think theres a good break point to fit in at least 1 cour. No clue when this arc will wrap up either or if it will be the last one.

Not counting what the OVA did, there are well over 100 chapters out. The first season covered like, 80.

Barakamon succeeded in both having one of the best kids in an anime, both in voice acting and character, so it was endearing and humorous and not fucking annoying, and being not super goddam boring.

Eureka 7 #1-2
Even half an episode worth of E7 is already way more worth my while than the ridiculous stuff I put up with in fourteen episodes' worth of Cross Ange. Guess I'll eventually get back ot it for more hatewatching eventually though, but at least not for a while.

The surfing boards aren't that annoying for me so far, and the lack of consipuous 3D CGI as far as I could see was very welcome. The plot got started really fast and the pacing looks brisk without making me feel like it's rushing things too much, and I'm guessing I'll get to know the rest of the cast soon now that Renton's been taken in by Gekkostate.

Oh, well that kind of nips it in the bud of getting a second season this year then. Going to patiently go into Prison School withdrawal now.

THANK YOU.

You don't have to worry about any CG robots with Eureka Seven. Eureka Seven is a 2D robot animation gold mine.

Lots of "eventually" means it goes into my special "on hold" queue, which operates under Valve time. At this rate, I'm more likely to pick Detective Conan back up than to go and keep on watching Cross Ange, because man, that was just way too stupid and a real waste of time in 24-minute bursts.

But yeah, 2D mecha shows are really nice for a change, since nowadays even cars tend to be CG in most regular anime. I've only watched TTGL and Gundam IBO in the genre so far, so I've probably missed out on lots of worthwhile works in the genre, and I've got to say I like them... except I just remembered I had watched two episodes of Demonbane, and that sucked as well (waaaaaay too crazy and over-the-top, IMO).

I was almost expecting it after one of the more recent episodes when the topic came up, but nope. Oh well, that's just a side plot to the show.

you misjudged the tone of the show.

The power of friendship. It's hard to feel anything for anyone in the show when it it so episodic and scatteted.

Barakamon is one of my all time favs for that reason. The story, tone, actors and everything is outstanding in the show 10/10

Rosario + Vampire S2 ep.7-9
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm almost glad there are only three episodes left. I mean, these are fun episodes, but the pants shots are useless to me and the plot is dragging nowhere. I already know the harem goes nowhere also, but oh well, I'll just chuckle through the last couple episodes, but this is another ecchi, harem comedy and nor a "romance," lol

the bad MAL synopsis from a translation doesn't sound promising

At war with the adjacent Kioka Republic, the Katjvarna Empire.

In that region, due to certain circumstances, there was a certain youth unwillingly preparing to take the High Grade Military Officer Exam. His name, Ikta. Disliker of war, lazy, admirer of women.

No one predicted that that kind of Ikta would later on become a soldier referred to even as a great commander...

He who survived a world embroiled in war with his superior genius, Ikta. Illustrating his dynamic, dramatic life, a splendid fantasy military history, the curtain is raised at last!

and by doesn't sound promising I mean I'll hate watch it as a a guilty pleasure because I've lost control of my life

The soccer episode of Eureka 7 makes more sense when you finally realize they were actually referencing Captain Tsubasa and similar sports shows.

Regarding the matter of 2D mechanical animation, I think the best examples of the same do continue to provide an inherent quality that most 3D anime productions can't easily match, but the very best 3DCG studios are also capable of some impressive work in their own right. I think we can still enjoy the best of both worlds, so to speak.

First Quad, now Julian.... Nintendoman is beaming with pride right now. Enjoy the ride brotha.

Well at least the MC actual fuck woman in this series(even though he only like to fuck milf).

No way this actually happens. Only Makoto does that.

Finally, someone in here speaking the truth about Cross Ange.

You've got a lot to learn about 2D mecha shows if the only exposure you have to them are TTGL and Gundam IBO.

Looking up Demonbane, yeah I can guess how a show like that would seem unappealing. Stuff like Gundam Build Fighters, Getter Robo Armageddon, Shin Mazinger Z, Giant Robo, G Gundam, Gunbuster, and GaoGaiGar are shows where the real meat of the genre lies.
